Abstract

A wireless device sends to a base station, a first RRC message comprising a registration request message for an AMF. The registration request message comprises a first parameter indicating a request for RLOS. The registration request message comprises a second parameter indicating a requested NSSAI for the RLOS. The requested NSSAI comprises at least one first allowed NSSAI. The wireless device receives a second RRC message from the base station. The second RRC message comprises a registration accept message from the AMF. The registration accept message comprises RLOS information and a second allowed NSSAI for at least one RLOS allowed for the wireless device. The RLOS information comprises a service type of the at least one RLOS allowed for the wireless device. The wireless device sends to the base station, one or more packets of the at least one RLOS allowed for the wireless device.

Claims (34)

1. A method comprising:

sending, by a wireless device to a base station, a first radio resource control (RRC) message comprising a registration request message for an access and mobility management function (AMF), wherein the registration request message comprises:

a first parameter indicating a request for restricted local operator services (RLOS); and

a second parameter indicating a requested network slice selection assistance information (NSSAI) for the RLOS, wherein the requested NSSAI is at least one first allowed NSSAI; and

receiving, by the wireless device from the base station, a second RRC message comprising a registration accept message from the AMF, wherein the registration accept message comprises RLOS information and a second allowed NSSAI for at least one RLOS allowed for the wireless device, the RLOS information comprises a service type of the at least one RLOS allowed for the wireless device; and

sending, by the wireless device to the base station, one or more packets of the at least one RLOS allowed for the wireless device.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one RLOS allowed for the wireless device comprises a voice over long term evolution (VOLTE) service.

3. The method of claim 1 , further comprising determining, by the AMF, the at least one first allowed NSSAI for the RLOS based on the requested NSSAI received from the wireless device.

4. The method of claim 1 , further comprising receiving, by the wireless device from the base station, a first message indicating that a network supports the RLOS, wherein the first message comprises a first information element indicating the at least one first allowed NSSAI for the RLOS.

5. The method of claim 4 , wherein the first message further comprises an allowed packet data unit (PDU) session type for the RLOS.

6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the second allowed NSSAI is determined by the AMF based on the requested NSSAI.

7. The method of claim 6 , wherein the second allowed NSSAI is the same as the at least one first allowed NSSAI.

8. The method of claim 1 , wherein the registration accept message further comprises one or more access and mobility management policies.

9. The method of claim 8 , wherein the one or more access and mobility management policies comprises at least one of:

a user equipment (UE) access selection policy for the at least one RLOS;

a packet data unit (PDU) session selection policy for the at least one RLOS; or

allowed PDU session type(s) for the at least one RLOS.

10. The method of claim 9 , further comprising selecting, by the wireless device, an access network based on the one or more access and mobility management policies.

11. The method of claim 1 , wherein the RLOS information further indicates application information associated with the service type.

12. The method of claim 11 , wherein the application information comprises at least one of:

a service data flow filter;

an application identifier; or

a uniform resource locator (URL).

13. The method of claim 1 , further comprising sending, by the wireless device to the base station and based on the RLOS information, a third message comprising a restricted service type and indicating a service request for the at least one RLOS.

14. The method of claim 13 , further comprising sending, by the AMF to a policy control function (PCF), a policy association establishment request message comprising at least one of:

an information element indicating a request for the RLOS;

the first allowed NSSAI for the RLOS; or

a data network name for the RLOS.

15. The method of claim 14 , further comprising receiving, by the PCF from a network function (NF), the RLOS information.

16. The method of claim 14 , further comprising determining, by the PCF, one or more access and mobility management policies for the at least one RLOS.

17. The method of claim 16 , wherein the determining is based on the RLOS information received from a network function (NF).

18. The method of claim 16 , wherein the determining is based on the first allowed NSSAI for the RLOS.

19. The method of claim 18 , further comprising sending, by the PCF to the AMF, the one or more access and mobility management policies.

20. The method of claim 19 , further comprising sending, by the PCF to the AMF, the RLOS information.
