Abstract

According to one embodiment, a lateral-electric-field liquid crystal display device includes a light-emitting display layer including OLEDs and a driving circuit controlling light emission of the OLEDs, a moisture impermeable film provided to be laminated on the light-emitting display layer to prevent infiltration of moisture into the light-emitting display layer, an optical substrate provided separately from the moisture impermeable film and subjecting light from the light-emitting display region to optical processing, a first touch electrode group serving as one electrode group of touch electrodes and provided on a back surface of the optical substrate, and an extraction electrode group formed to be laminated on the moisture impermeable film, the extraction electrode group and the optical substrate have an overlapping part in plan view, and electrodes of the first touch electrode group being electrically connected to electrodes of the extraction electrode group in the overlapping part.

Claims (47)

1. A display device comprising:

a first substrate including a first region and a second region surrounding the first region;

a sealing layer covering the first region and the second region;

a light-emitting display layer located in the first region in a plan view;

touch electrodes overlapping with the light-emitting display layer in plan view; and

an electrode electrically connected to one of the touch electrodes and located in the second region in plan view, wherein

the electrode is in contact with an edge of the sealing layer, and

each of the touch electrodes includes protruded portions.

2. The display device of claim 1 , wherein

the electrode is in contact with a vertex of the edge of the sealing layer in a cross-sectional view.

3. The display device of claim 1 , wherein

the protruded portions of one of the touch electrodes extend toward another one of the touch electrodes adjacent to the one of the touch electrodes.

4. The display device of claim 3 , wherein

spaces are located between the protruded portions of the one of the touch electrodes and the another one of the touch electrodes.

5. The display device of claim 4 , wherein

the spaces are located in a line.

6. The display device of claim 1 , wherein

each of the touch electrodes includes openings.

7. The display device of claim 4 , wherein

each of the touch electrodes includes openings, and

a width of one of the spaces is smaller than a width of one of the openings.

8. The display device of claim 6 , wherein

the openings are rectangular.

9. The display device of claim 7 , wherein

the openings are located in a line.

10. A display device comprising:

a first substrate including a first region and a second region surrounding the first region;

a sealing layer covering the first region and the second region;

a light-emitting display layer located in the first region in a plan view;

touch electrodes overlapping with the light-emitting display layer in a plan view; and

an electrode electrically connected to one of the touch electrodes and located in the second region in a plan view, wherein

the electrode is in contact with an edge of the sealing layer, and

each of the touch electrodes includes openings.

11. The display device of claim 10 , wherein

the electrode is in contact with a vertex of the edge of the sealing layer in a cross-sectional view.

12. The display device of claim 10 , wherein

the openings are rectangular.

13. The display device of claim 10 , wherein

the openings are located in a line.

14. The display device of claim 10 , wherein

each of the touch electrodes includes protruded portions.

15. The display device of claim 14 , wherein

the protruded portions of one of the touch electrodes extend toward another one of the touch electrodes adjacent to the one of the touch electrodes.

16. The display device of claim 15 , wherein

spaces are located between the protruded portions of the one of the touch electrodes and the another one of the touch electrodes.

17. The display device of claim 16 , wherein

the spaces are located in a line.
