Abstract

A method for transmitting a sidelink discovery signal in a wireless communication system, the method is performed by a user equipment (UE) and includes: determining a transmit power for the sidelink discovery signal, and transmitting the sidelink discovery signal with the transmit power, wherein the transmit power is determined based on discMaxTxPower, and wherein the discMaxTxPower informs a parameter used to calculate a maximum transmit power of the UE configured with a concerned range class.

Claims (22)

1. A method for transmitting a sidelink discovery signal in a wireless communication system, the method is performed by a user equipment (UE) and comprising:

setting a transmit power for the sidelink discovery signal; and

transmitting the sidelink discovery signal with the transmit power,

wherein the transmit power is determined based on discMaxTxPower, and

wherein based on the UE being configured with a range class, the discMaxTxPower informs a parameter used to calculate a maximum transmit power of the UE configured with the range class.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the range class is any one of short, medium and long.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the discMaxTxPower is separately provided for each range class configured for the UE.

4. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

receiving the discMaxTxPower from a base station.

5. The method of claim 4 , wherein the UE transmits the sidelink discovery signal to another UE in a cell coverage of the base station.

6. A user equipment (UE) comprising:

a transceiver configured to transmit and receive a radio signal; and

a processor operatively coupled to the transceiver,

wherein the processor is configured to:

set a transmit power for a sidelink discovery signal, and

transmit the sidelink discovery signal with the transmit power,

wherein the transmit power is determined based on discMaxTxPower, and

wherein based on the UE being configured with a range class, the discMaxTxPower informs a parameter used to calculate a maximum transmit power of the UE configured with the range class.

7. The UE of claim 6 , wherein the range class is any one of short, medium and long.

8. The UE of claim 6 , wherein the discMaxTxPower is separately provided for each range class configured for the UE.

9. The UE of claim 6 , wherein the processor receives the discMaxTxPower from a base station.

10. The UE of claim 9 , wherein the UE transmits the sidelink discovery signal to another UE in a cell coverage of the base station.
