Abstract

In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a UE. The UE sends, in a first transaction, a request to a network for releasing a protocol data unit (PDU) session established between the UE and the network. The UE receives, while waiting for a first command sent from the network for releasing the PDU session in the first transaction, a second command from the network for releasing the PDU session in a second transaction. The UE aborts the first transaction.

Claims (38)

1. A method of wireless communication of a user equipment (UE), comprising:

sending, in a first transaction, a request to a network for releasing a protocol data unit (PDU) session established between the UE and the network;

receiving, while waiting for a first command sent from the network for releasing the PDU session in the first transaction, a second command from the network for releasing the PDU session in a second transaction; and

aborting the first transaction.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the aborting the first transaction comprises:

stopping sending additional requests for releasing the PDU session in the first transaction.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the request includes an indication indicating a first protocol transaction identity assigned to the first transaction.

4. The method of claim 3 , wherein the first command includes an indication indicating the first protocol transaction identity, wherein the second command includes an indication indicating that no protocol transaction identity has been assigned to the second transaction.

5. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

releasing the PDU session; and

sending, to the network, a completion message indicating that the PDU session has been released in the second transaction.

6. The method of claim 5 , wherein the completion message includes an indication indicating that no protocol transaction identity has been assigned to the second transaction.

7. An apparatus for wireless communication, the apparatus being a user equipment (UE), comprising:

a memory; and

at least one processor coupled to the memory and configured to:

send, in a first transaction, a request to a network for releasing a protocol data unit (PDU) session established between the UE and the network;

receive, while waiting for a first command sent from the network for releasing the PDU session in the first transaction, a second command from the network for releasing the PDU session in a second transaction; and

abort the first transaction.

8. The apparatus of claim 7 , wherein to abort the first transaction, the at least one processor is further configured to:

stop sending additional requests for releasing the PDU session in the first transaction.

9. The apparatus of claim 7 , wherein the request includes an indication indicating a first protocol transaction identity assigned to the first transaction.

10. The apparatus of claim 9 , wherein the first command includes an indication indicating the first protocol transaction identity, wherein the second command includes an indication indicating that no protocol transaction identity has been assigned to the second transaction.

11. The apparatus of claim 7 , wherein the at least one processor is further configured to:

release the PDU session; and

send, to the network, a completion message indicating that the PDU session has been released in the second transaction.

12. The apparatus of claim 11 , wherein the completion message includes an indication indicating that no protocol transaction identity has been assigned to the second transaction.

13. A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing computer executable code for wireless communication of a user equipment (UE), comprising code to:

send, in a first transaction, a request to a network for releasing a protocol data unit (PDU) session established between the UE and the network;

receive, while waiting for a first command sent from the network for releasing the PDU session in the first transaction, a second command from the network for releasing the PDU session in a second transaction; and

abort the first transaction.

14. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 13 , wherein to abort the first transaction, the code is further configured to:

stop sending additional requests for releasing the PDU session in the first transaction.

15. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 13 , wherein the request includes an indication indicating a first protocol transaction identity assigned to the first transaction.

16. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the first command includes an indication indicating the first protocol transaction identity, wherein the second command includes an indication indicating that no protocol transaction identity has been assigned to the second transaction.

17. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 13 , wherein the code is further configured to:

release the PDU session; and

send, to the network, a completion message indicating that the PDU session has been released in the second transaction.

18. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 17 , wherein the completion message includes an indication indicating that no protocol transaction identity has been assigned to the second transaction.
