Abstract

An arm-worn electronic device used while being worn on an arm is proposed. A novel device that includes a display portion having a curved surface, a secondary battery having a curved surface, and a member for being worn on a user's upper arm so that the display portion and the secondary battery are worn on the user's upper arm. Part of the display portion overlaps with the secondary battery. The novel device is useful for workers in the manufacturing industry and the distribution industry, police officers, fire fighters, health workers, care workers, sales people who work with their hands when it is worn on their arms. The novel device can also be used as military equipment or a wearable computer that assists a user who operates a vehicle or a plane, for the military's sake.

Claims (37)

1. An electronic device comprising:

a display portion with a first curved surface; and

a battery with a second curved surface, the battery including a portion overlapping with the display portion;

a circuit board; and

a film including a strip-like leaf spring, the film configured to wind around an arm of a human,

wherein the battery comprises a first current collector, a second current collector, a first active material layer, a second active material layer, and an envelope,

wherein the battery includes an exterior body including a layered film including an aluminum film, the layered film being embossed,

wherein the battery is electrically connected to the circuit board with a terminal,

wherein the display portion is electrically connected to the circuit board with an FPC, and

wherein the circuit board comprises a charging circuit, a driver circuit, a power supply circuit, and a video signal processing circuit.

2. The electronic device according to claim 1 ,

wherein a radius of curvature of each of the first curved surface and the second curved surface is 30 mm to 70 mm.

3. The electronic device according to claim 1 ,

wherein a first direction in which the display portion curved is different from a second direction in which the battery curved.

4. The electronic device according to claim 1 ,

wherein one end portion of the film overlaps with the other end portion of the film when the film is winding around the arm of the human.

5. The electronic device according to claim 1 ,

wherein the battery is located between the display portion and the film.

6. An electronic device comprising:

a display portion with a first curved surface; and

a battery with a second curved surface, the battery including a portion overlapping with the display portion;

a circuit board; and

a film including a strip-like leaf spring, the film configured to wind around an arm of a human,

wherein the battery comprises a first current collector, a second current collector, a first active material layer, a second active material layer, and an envelope,

wherein the battery includes an exterior body including a layered film including an aluminum film, the layered film being embossed,

wherein the battery is electrically connected to the circuit board with a terminal,

wherein the display portion is electrically connected to the circuit board with an FPC,

wherein the circuit board comprises a charging circuit, a driver circuit, a power supply circuit, and a video signal processing circuit, and

wherein the display portion comprises a transistor comprising an oxide semiconductor.

7. The electronic device according to claim 6 ,

wherein a radius of curvature of each of the first curved surface and the second curved surface is 30 mm to 70 mm.

8. The electronic device according to claim 6 ,

wherein a first direction in which the display portion curved is different from a second direction in which the battery curved.

9. The electronic device according to claim 6 ,

wherein one end portion of the film overlaps with the other end portion of the film when the film is winding around the arm of the human.

10. The electronic device according to claim 6 ,

wherein the battery is located between the display portion and the film.
