SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING AUDIO-FILE LOOP-PLAYBACK FUNCTIONALITY
Systems and methods for providing audio-file loop-playback functionality are provided. The system includes a processor that performs a method including setting a playback loop start-point based on a first selection of a button; setting a loop end-point, associating a loop with an audio file, and entering into the loop based on a second selection of the button; and exiting the loop based on a third selection of the button. Associating the loop with the audio file includes adding metadata to the audio file. The metadata associates the loop with a button. The method includes reentering the loop based on a fourth selection of the button and exiting the loop based on a fifth selection of the button.
1 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions executable by at least one processor to facilitate an audio-file playback loop with a button according a method, the method comprising:
setting a playback loop start-point based on a first press or release of the button;
setting a playback loop end-point, associating the audio-file playback loop with an audio file, and entering into the playback loop based on a second press or release of the button; and
exiting the playback loop based on a third press or release of the button.
2 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 1 , wherein associating the audio-file playback loop with the audio file comprises adding metadata to the audio file.
3 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 2 , wherein the metadata associates the audio-file playback loop with a button.
4 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 1 , wherein the method further comprises reentering the playback loop based on a fourth press or release of the button and exiting the playback loop based on a fifth press or release of the button.
5 . A DJ media player comprising:
a display to show audio file playback information;
a button, wherein (i) a first press or release of the button sets a playback loop start-point, (ii) a second press or release of the button sets a playback loop end-point, associates a playback loop with an audio file, and enters into the playback loop, and (iii) a third press or release of the button exits the playback loop.
6 . The DJ media player of claim 5 , wherein associating the playback loop with the audio file comprises adding metadata to the audio file.
7 . The DJ media player of claim 5 , wherein the metadata associates the audio-file playback loop with a button.
8 . The DJ media player of claim 5 , wherein a fourth press or release of the button reenters the playback loop and a fifth press or release of the button exits the playback loop.
9 . A system comprising a processor and a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing instruction that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform a method, the method comprising:
setting a playback loop start-point based on a first selection of a button;
setting a playback loop end-point, associating a playback loop with an audio file, and entering into the playback loop based on a second selection of the button; and
exiting the playback loop based on a third selection of the button.
10 . The system of claim 9 , wherein associating the playback loop with the audio file comprises adding metadata to the audio file.
11 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the metadata associates the audio-file playback loop with a button.
12 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the method further comprises reentering the playback loop based on a fourth selection of the button and exiting the playback loop based on a fifth selection of the button.
