Abstract

An automation system including sensors that detect threats within a secured area, a plurality of prospective events defined within a memory of the automation system, each event including at least a physical change in an environment of the secured area, a time of execution of the physical change and a corresponding actuator that causes the physical change, a processor of the automation system that periodically activates the corresponding actuator at the time of each of the plurality of events, a processor that monitors each of the plurality of sensors for activation by an authorized human user and that saves a record of each activation to a cloud memory and a cloud processor that monitors the saved activation records of each sensor over a time period, determines a difference between the saved activations and the plurality of events and that modifies the plurality of events based upon the determined differences.

Claims (38)

1. A method comprising:

a processor retrieving respective data from each of a plurality of sensors within a secured area from a predetermined period of time;

the processor identifying a behavioral pattern from the respective data from each of the plurality of sensors, the identified behavioral pattern including a time of execution of a physical change in the secured area and identification of a corresponding actuator that causes the physical change; and

responsive to identifying the behavioral pattern, the processor creating an environmental scene for the secured area, wherein the environmental scene for the secured area identifies a time for automatically activating, deactivating, or modifying the corresponding actuator.

2. The method of claim 1 wherein the environmental scene further identifies the corresponding actuator for activation, deactivation, or modification.

3. The method of claim 2 further comprising:

the processor scheduling the actuator to be automatically activated, deactivated, or modified at the time.

4. The method of claim 3 wherein automatically activating, deactivating, or modifying the actuator at the time preempts a user manually activating, deactivating, or modifying the actuator in a manner consistent with the behavioral pattern.

5. The method of claim 1 further comprising:

the processor identifying a repeating event from the respective data from each of the plurality of sensors.

6. The method of claim 5 further comprising:

the processor identifying different times at which the repeating event occurs during the predetermined period of time and an average time of the different times.

7. The method of claim 6 further comprising:

the processor scheduling the corresponding actuator associated with the secured area to be automatically activated, deactivated, or modified at the average time.

8. The method of claim 1 further comprising:

the processor comparing the behavioral pattern to a plurality of preconfigured scenes; and

responsive to failing to identify a match between the behavioral pattern and any of the plurality of preconfigured scenes, the processor creating environmental scene.

9. The method of claim 1 further comprising:

the processor identifying the behavioral pattern from the respective data from each of the plurality of sensors unassociated with any of a plurality of preconfigured static scenes.

10. The method of claim 1 further comprising:

the processor soliciting user confirmation for the environmental scene; and

responsive to the user confirmation, the processor scheduling the environmental scene.

11. A system comprising:

a processor in communication with a plurality of sensors within a secured area; and

a memory device in communication with the processor,

wherein the memory device stores respective data from each of the plurality of sensors,

wherein the processor retrieves the respective data from each of the plurality of sensor for a predetermined period of time,

wherein the processor identifies a behavioral pattern from the respective data from each of the plurality of sensors, the identified behavioral pattern including a time of execution of a physical change in the secured area and identification of a corresponding actuator that causes the physical change, and

responsive to identifying the behavioral pattern, the processor creates an environmental scene for the secured area, wherein the environmental scene for the secured area identifies a time for automatically activating, deactivating, or modifying the corresponding actuator.

12. The system of claim 11 wherein the environmental scene further identifies the actuator for activation, deactivation, or modification.

13. The system of claim 12 wherein the processor schedules the actuator to be automatically activated, deactivated, or modified at the time.

14. The system of claim 13 wherein automatically activating, deactivating, or modifying the actuator at the time preempts a user manually activating, deactivating, or modifying the actuator in a manner consistent with the behavioral pattern.

15. The system of claim 11 wherein the processor identifies a repeating event from the respective data from each of the plurality of sensors.

16. The system of claim 15 wherein the processor identifies different times at which the repeating event occurs during the predetermined period of time and an average time of the different times.

17. The system of claim 16 wherein the processor schedules the corresponding actuator associated with the secured area to be automatically activated, deactivated, or modified at the average time.

18. The system of claim 11 wherein the processor compares the behavioral pattern to a plurality of preconfigured scenes, and wherein responsive to failing to identify a match between the behavioral pattern and any of the plurality of preconfigured scenes, the processor creates environmental scene.

19. The system of claim 11 wherein the processor identifies the behavioral pattern from the respective data from each of the plurality of sensors unassociated with any of a plurality of preconfigured static scenes.

20. The system of claim 11 wherein the processor solicits user confirmation for the environmental scene and, responsive to the user confirmation, schedules the environmental scene.
