Abstract

A system, method, and computer-readable medium are disclosed for facilitating a sale of an asset used in a complex asset environment via a sales facilitation operation. In various embodiments the sales facilitation operation includes identifying a plurality of assets within a complex asset environment; obtaining information regarding each of the plurality of assets within the complex asset environment, the information regarding each of the plurality of assets comprising information from a plurality of data sources; and, performing the sales facilitation operation using the information regarding each of the plurality of assets within the complex asset environment, the sales facilitation operation determining utilization of the plurality of assets within the complex asset environment.

Claims (49)

1 . A computer-implementable method for performing a sales facilitation operation, comprising:

identifying a plurality of assets within a complex asset environment;

obtaining information regarding each of the plurality of assets within the complex asset environment, the information regarding each of the plurality of assets comprising information from a plurality of data sources; and,

performing the sales facilitation operation using the information regarding each of the plurality of assets within the complex asset environment, the sales facilitation operation determining utilization of the plurality of assets within the complex asset environment.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein:

the information regarding the configuration of the plurality of assets comprises information from a plurality of data sources.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein:

the sales facilitation operation comprises providing an asset performance solution, the asset performance solution comprising a sales facilitation solution that meets an asset performance objective.

4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein:

the asset performance objective is set by at least one of a seller of the assets and a prospective buyer of the assets.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein:

the sales facilitation solution includes an option of providing assets having improved utilization when compared to assets presently within the complex asset environment.

6 . The method of claim 5 , wherein:

determination of the improved utilization is performed by an asset utilization service, the asset utilization service including an asset workload service and an asset performance service.

7 . A system comprising:

a processor;

a data bus coupled to the processor; and

a non-transitory, computer-readable storage medium embodying computer program code, the non-transitory, computer-readable storage medium being coupled to the data bus, the computer program code interacting with a plurality of computer operations and comprising instructions executable by the processor and configured for:

identifying a plurality of assets within a complex asset environment;

obtaining information regarding each of the plurality of assets within the complex asset environment, the information regarding each of the plurality of assets comprising information from a plurality of data sources; and,

performing the sales facilitation operation using the information regarding each of the plurality of assets within the complex asset environment, the sales facilitation operation determining utilization of the plurality of assets within the complex asset environment.

8 . The system of claim 7 , wherein:

the information regarding the configuration of the plurality of assets comprises information from a plurality of data sources.

9 . The system of claim 7 , wherein:

the sales facilitation operation comprises providing an asset performance solution, the asset performance solution comprising a sales facilitation solution that meets an asset performance objective.

10 . The system of claim 9 , wherein:

the asset performance objective is set by at least one of a seller of the assets and a prospective buyer of the assets.

11 . The system of claim 7 , wherein:

the sales facilitation solution includes an option of providing assets having improved utilization when compared to assets presently within the complex asset environment.

12 . The system of claim 11 , wherein:

determination of the improved utilization is performed by an asset utilization service, the asset utilization service including an asset workload service and an asset performance service.

13 . A non-transitory, computer-readable storage medium embodying computer program code, the computer program code comprising computer executable instructions configured for:

identifying a plurality of assets within a complex asset environment;

obtaining information regarding each of the plurality of assets within the complex asset environment, the information regarding each of the plurality of assets comprising information from a plurality of data sources; and,

performing the sales facilitation operation using the information regarding each of the plurality of assets within the complex asset environment, the sales facilitation operation determining utilization of the plurality of assets within the complex asset environment.

14 . The non-transitory, computer-readable storage medium of claim 13 , wherein:

the information regarding the configuration of the plurality of assets comprises information from a plurality of data sources.

15 . The non-transitory, computer-readable storage medium of claim 13 , wherein:

the sales facilitation operation comprises providing an asset performance solution, the asset performance solution comprising a sales facilitation solution that meets an asset performance objective.

16 . The non-transitory, computer-readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein:

the asset performance objective is set by at least one of a seller of the assets and a prospective buyer of the assets.

17 . The non-transitory, computer-readable storage medium of claim 13 , wherein:

the sales facilitation solution includes an option of providing assets having improved utilization when compared to assets presently within the complex asset environment.

18 . The non-transitory, computer-readable storage medium of claim 13 , wherein:

determination of the improved utilization is performed by an asset utilization service, the asset utilization service including an asset workload service and an asset performance service.

19 . The non-transitory, computer-readable storage medium of claim 13 , wherein:

the computer executable instructions are deployable to a client system from a server system at a remote location.

20 . The non-transitory, computer-readable storage medium of claim 13 , wherein:

the computer executable instructions are provided by a service provider to a user on an on-demand basis.
