The anti-bacterial and anti-fungal compositions comprise cannabinoids, specifically cannabidiol, cannabigerol, tetrahydrocannabinol, tetracannabidivarin, and/or cannabidivarin for anti-bacterial and anti-fungal activities. The anti-bacterial and anti-fungal compositions may be used to treat toe nail fungus, MRSA infection, herpes virus infection, tinea pedis, burn wound infections, sun burns, diabetic infections, eczema, impetigo, dermatophytosis, psoriasis, itchy skin, atopic dermatitis, dandruff, and general topical infections.

Claims (30)

1. An anti-microbial powder for use on skin comprising:

at least one cannabinoid at 2% to 10% by weight of the total composition, wherein a first of the at least one cannabinoid is cannabidiol;

at least one preservative at 0.2% to 1.5% by weight of the total composition, wherein a first of the at least one preservative is phenoxyethanol;

at least one emollient at 3% to 20% by weight of the total composition, wherein a first of the at least one emollient is isopropyl myristate; and

a powder comprising talc and hydrated silica at 30% to 90% by weight of the total composition.

2. The anti-microbial powder for use on skin of claim 1 , further comprising isopropyl alcohol present at 5% to 30% by weight of the total composition.

3. The anti-microbial powder for use on skin of claim 2 , further comprising at least one propellant solvent at 20% to 70% by weight of the total composition.

4. The anti-microbial powder for use on skin of claim 3 , wherein the at least one propellant solvent is selected from the group consisting of butane, isobutane, propane, and pentane.

5. The anti-microbial powder for use on skin of claim 4 , wherein the anti-microbial powder is packaged in an aerosol can.

6. The anti-microbial powder for use on skin of claim 4 , further comprising a fragrance.

7. The anti-microbial powder for use on skin of claim 6 , wherein the anti-microbial powder is packaged in an aerosol can.

8. An anti-microbial powder for use on skin comprising:

at least one cannabinoid at 2% to 10% by weight of the total composition wherein a first of the at least one cannabinoid is cannabidiol;

at least one preservative at 0.2% to 1.5% by weight of the total composition wherein a first of the at least one preservative is phenoxyethanol;

at least one emollient at 3% to 20% by weight of the total composition wherein a first of the at least one emollient is isopropyl myristate;

a powder comprising talc and hydrated silica at 30% to 90% by weight of the total composition; and

at least one propellant solvent at 20% to 70% by weight of the total composition selected from the group consisting of butane, isobutane, propane, and pentane,

wherein the anti-microbial powder is packaged in an aerosol can.

9. The anti-microbial powder for use on skin of claim 8 , further comprising a fragrance.

10. An anti-microbial powder for use on skin comprising:

cannabidiol at 2% to 10% by weight of the total composition;

phenoxyethanol at 0.2% to 1.5% by weight of the total composition;

isopropyl myristate at 3% to 20% by weight of the total composition; and

a powder comprising talc and hydrated silica at 30% to 90% by weight of the total composition.

11. The anti-microbial powder for use on skin of claim 10 , further comprising isopropyl alcohol present at 5% to 30% by weight of the total composition.

12. The anti-microbial powder for use on skin of claim 11 , further comprising at least one propellant solvent at 20% to 70% by weight of the total composition.

13. The anti-microbial powder for use on skin of claim 12 , wherein the at least one propellant solvent is selected from the group consisting of butane, isobutane, propane, and pentane.

14. The anti-microbial powder for use on skin of claim 13 , wherein the anti-microbial powder is packaged in an aerosol can.

15. The anti-microbial powder for use on skin of claim 13 , further comprising a fragrance.

16. The anti-microbial powder for use on skin of claim 15 , wherein the anti-microbial powder is packaged in an aerosol can.
