Abstract

Systems, methods, and software for monitoring and controlling a security system for a structure are provided herein. An exemplary method may include receiving sensor data from at least one first peripheral, the sensor data associated with at least one of activity inside and activity outside of a structure; determining a critical event based in part on the sensor data; creating an alert based in part on the critical event; getting user preferences associated with at least one of a user and a base unit; determining a response based in part on the alert and user preferences; and activating at least one of a second peripheral and a service based in part on the response.

creating an alert based in part on the critical event;

getting user preferences associated with at least one of a user and a first base unit;

determining a response based in part on the alert and the user preferences; and

notifying a second base unit of the alert, the second base unit being at a second structure, wherein the second base unit activates surveillance cameras in response to the alert, and the second base unit detects and stores suspicious Bluetooth digital fingerprints in response to the alert.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first structure and the second structure are in a same neighborhood.

3. The method of claim 1 , the method further comprising informing another user of the alert via at least one of SMS message, email, and social media, the another user being associated with the second structure.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the second base unit launches an unmanned aircraft in response to the alert.

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one peripheral includes one or more of a cordless phone, door/gate sensor, window sensor, glass breakage sensor, flood sensor, pool sensor, and baby monitor.

6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the second base unit locks or unlocks a door in the first structure in response to the alert.

7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the second base unit locks or unlocks a gate in the first structure in response to the alert.

8. The method of claim 1 , wherein the second base unit is configured to perform at least one of: activate an internal or external siren, control lighting, activate audible or visual alarm in a smoke detector, launch a personal surveillance drone, move window coverings, and post on social media.

9. A system for community security monitoring and control comprising:

a processor; and

a memory communicatively coupled to the processor, the memory storing instructions executable by the processor to perform a method, the method comprising:

receiving sensor data from at least one peripheral, the sensor data associated with at least one of activity inside and activity outside of a first structure;

determining a critical event based in part on the sensor data;

creating an alert based in part on the critical event;

getting user preferences associated with at least one of a user and a first base unit;

determining a response based in part on the alert and the user preferences; and

notifying a second base unit of the alert, the second base unit being at a second structure, wherein the second base unit activates surveillance cameras in response to the alert, and the second base unit detects and stores suspicious Bluetooth digital fingerprints in response to the alert.

10. The system of claim 9 , wherein the first base unit and the second base unit are in a same neighborhood.

11. The system of claim 9 , wherein the method further comprises informing another user of the alert via at least one of SMS message, email, and social media, the another user being associated with the second structure.

12. The system of claim 9 , wherein the second base unit locks or unlocks a door in the first structure in response to the alert.

13. The system of claim 9 , wherein the second base unit locks or unlocks a gate in the first structure in response to the alert.

14. The system of claim 9 , wherein the second base unit is configured to perform at least one of: activate an internal or external siren, control lighting, activate audible or visual alarm in a smoke detector, launch a personal surveillance drone, move window coverings, and post on social media.

15. A method for security monitoring and control comprising:

receiving sensor data from at least one peripheral, the sensor data associated with at least one of activity inside and activity outside of a first structure;

determining a critical event based in part on the sensor data;

creating an alert based in part on the critical event;

getting user preferences associated with at least one of a user and a first base unit;

determining a response based in part on the alert and the user preferences; and

notifying a second base unit of the alert, the second base unit being at a second structure, wherein the second base unit activates exterior lights in response to the alert, and the second base unit detects and stores suspicious Bluetooth digital fingerprints in response to the alert.

16. A method for security monitoring and control comprising:

receiving sensor data from at least one peripheral, the sensor data associated with at least one of activity inside and activity outside of a first structure;

determining a critical event based in part on the sensor data;

creating an alert based in part on the critical event;

getting user preferences associated with at least one of a user and a first base unit;

determining a response based in part on the alert and the user preferences;

notifying a second base unit of the alert, the second base unit being at a second structure;

receiving a communication from the second base unit, the communication indicating suspicious activity was detected at the second structure; and

sending a notification to a smartphone, the notification reporting the at least one of activity inside and activity outside of the first structure, and the suspicious activity detected at the second structure.

17. A method for security monitoring and control comprising:

receiving sensor data from at least one peripheral, the sensor data associated with at least one of activity inside and activity outside of a first structure;

determining a critical event based in part on the sensor data;

creating an alert based in part on the critical event;

getting user preferences associated with at least one of a user and a first base unit;

determining a response based in part on the alert and the user preferences;

notifying a second base unit of the alert, the second base unit being at a second structure;

sending an unmanned aircraft to an area of interest in response to the receiving sensor data, the area of interest determined using the sensor data, the unmanned aircraft sensing at least one of video and audio using at least one of video and audio sensors disposed on the unmanned aircraft; and
