Systems and methods for generating personalized content
The system receives a message having a sender and a recipient. The system identifies entities associated with the message and associated with any content that is associated with the message. The system determines whether to, and how to, modify the message based on relationship information among the sender, the recipient, and any entities identified in the message or components of the message. A relationship between a sender and recipient may be determined using, for example, a database of relationship information. The system modifies, for example, text, images, or video of the message to generate the personalized message. The personalized message include the original message along with context information to help indicate the relevance of the message to the recipient. The context information can include text, images, video, or other information. To illustrate, the context information can include keywords or identifiers that indicate entities associated with the message.
1. A method for modifying a content item based on relationship information, the method comprising:
identifying, at control circuitry, a content item associated with a sender and a recipient;
detecting, using the control circuitry, an identifier of an entity referenced in the content item by matching the identifier of the entity to one of a plurality of entity identifiers stored in a database, the entity being distinct from the sender and the recipient;
utilizing the identifier of the entity and an identifier of the recipient to query the database for relationship information indicating a relationship between the entity and the recipient, the relationship between the entity and the recipient being distinct from a relationship between the sender and the recipient;
determining whether to generate a modified content item based on the relationship information;
if it is determined to generate the modified content item, determining, based on the relationship between the entity and the recipient, a modification to apply to the content item to generate the modified content item, wherein the modification comprises a visual indicator indicative of the relationship between the entity and the recipient; and
generating the modified content item.
2. The method of claim 1 , wherein determining whether to generate the modified content item based on the relationship information comprises:
retrieving the relationship information from the database;
determining a relationship identifier based on the relationship information; and
determining whether to generate the modified content item based on the relationship identifier.
3. The method of claim 1 , wherein identifying the entity associated with the content item comprises:
identifying text associated with the content item; and
analyzing the text to identify the entity.
4. The method of claim 1 , wherein identifying the entity associated with the content item comprises:
identifying one or more objects associated with the content item; and
analyzing the one or more objects to identify the entity.
5. The method of claim 1 , wherein identifying the entity associated with the content item comprises:
identifying a geographic location associated with content item; and
identifying the entity based on the geographic location.
6. The method of claim 1 , further comprising generating for transmission by the control circuitry over the network the content item, if it is determined to not generate the modified content item.
7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the visual indicator comprises text indicative of the entity.
8. The method of claim 1 , further comprising storing the modified content item in storage.
9. The method of claim 1 , wherein determining the modification to apply to the content item comprises analyzing the content item to determine context information, wherein the visual indicator is indicative of the context information.
10. The method of claim 9 , wherein the context information comprises one or more keywords associated with the content item.
11. A system for modifying a content item based on relationship information, the system comprising:
control circuitry configured to:
identify a content item associated with a sender and a recipient,
detect an identifier of an entity referenced in the content item by matching the identifier of the entity to one of a plurality of entity identifiers stored in a database, the entity being distinct from the sender and the recipient,
utilize the identifier of the entity and an identifier of the recipient to query the database for relationship information indicating a relationship between the entity and the recipient, the relationship between the entity and the recipient being distinct from a relationship between the sender and the recipient;
determine whether to generate a modified content item based on the relationship information, and
if it is determined to generate the modified content item, determine, based on the relationship between the entity and the recipient, a modification to apply to the content item to generate the modified content item, wherein the modification comprises a visual indicator indicative of the relationship between the entity and the recipient; and
an output device coupled to the control circuitry and configured to generate the modified content item.
12. The system of claim 11 , wherein the control circuitry is configured to determine whether to generate the modified content item based on the relationship information by:
retrieving the relationship information from the database;
determining a relationship identifier based on the relationship information; and
determining whether to generate the modified content item based on the relationship identifier.
13. The system of claim 11 , wherein the control circuitry is configured to identify the entity associated with the content item by:
identifying text associated with the content item; and
analyzing the text to identify the entity.
14. The system of claim 11 , wherein the control circuitry is configured to identify the entity associated with the content item by:
identifying one or more objects associated with the content item; and
analyzing the one or more objects to identify the entity.
15. The system of claim 11 , wherein the control circuitry is configured to identify the entity associated with the content item by:
identifying a geographic location associated with content item; and
identify the entity based on the geographic location.
16. The system of claim 11 , wherein the control circuitry is further configured to generate for transmission by the control circuitry over the network the content item, if it is determined to not generate the modified content item.
17. The system of claim 11 , wherein the visual indicator comprises text indicative of the entity.
18. The system of claim 11 , further comprising storage coupled to the control circuitry and configured for storing the modified content item.
19. The system of claim 11 , wherein the control circuitry is further configured to determine the modification to apply to the content item by analyzing the content item to determine context information, wherein the visual indicator is indicative of the context information.
20. The system of claim 19 , wherein the context information comprises one or more keywords associated with the content item.
