Abstract

A wireless device receives: a first maximum total transmit power of a first group comprising first cell(s) of a first Radio Access Technology; and a second maximum total transmit power of a second group comprising second cell(s) of a second Radio Access Technology different from the first Radio Access Technology. A first total power for transmission of first and signal(s) are determined respectively via their respective group exceeding their respective maximum total transmit power. The transmission powers of first and second signal(s) are scaled so that an updated first total power does not exceed their respective first and second maximum total transmit powers. The first signal(s) and second signal(s) are transmitting with their respective updated f total power.

Claims (23)

1. A method comprising:

receiving, by a wireless device from a base station, one or more radio resource control messages comprising:

a first maximum total transmit power of a first group comprising one or more first cells of a first Radio Access Technology; and

a second maximum total transmit power of a second group comprising one or more second cells of a second Radio Access Technology different from the first Radio Access Technology;

determining a first total power for transmission of one or more first signals via the first group exceeding the first maximum total transmit power;

scaling first transmission power of at least one of the one or more first signals so that an updated first total power does not exceed the first maximum total transmit power;

determining a second total power for transmission of one or more second signals via the second group exceeding the second maximum total transmit power;

scaling second transmission power of at least one of the one or more second signals so that an updated second total power does not exceed the second maximum total transmit power; and

transmitting the one or more first signals with the updated first total power and the one or more second signals with the updated second total power.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the scaling the second transmission power is independent of a value of the first total power.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the scaling the first transmission power is independent of a value of the second total power.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first type of Radio Access Technology operates according to a release of LTE technology.

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more first uplink signals comprise one or more first sounding reference signals.

6. The method of claim 1 , wherein a total transmit power of the wireless device is limited to a maximum output power, wherein the total transmit power comprises the updated first total power and the second updated total power.

7. The method of claim 6 , wherein the total transmit power depends on whether at least one cell in the first cell group is activated.

8. The method of claim 1 , wherein the scaling the first transmission power of the at least one of the one or more first uplink signals is based on a priority order of the at least one uplink signals.

9. The method of claim 1 , wherein the receiving comprises receiving a cell power parameter indicating an allowable transmit power for a cell of the one or more first cells.

10. The method of claim 1 , wherein the transmitting of the one or more first uplink signals overlaps in time with the transmitting of the one or more second uplink signals.

11. The method of claim 6 , wherein the scaling the first transmission power of the at least one of the one or more first uplink signals is based on a priority order of the at least one uplink signals.

12. The method of claim 6 , further comprising performing a listen before talk before the transmitting the one or more first uplink signals.

13. The method of claim 6 , wherein the receiving comprises receiving a cell power parameter indicating an allowable transmit power for a cell of the one or more first cells.

14. The method of claim 6 , wherein the transmitting of the one or more first uplink signals overlaps in time with the transmitting of the one or more second uplink signals.

15. The method of claim 1 , wherein a total transmit power of the wireless device is limited to a maximum output power, wherein the maximum output power comprises the first maximum total transmit power and the second maximum total transmit power.
