Abstract

An information processing apparatus includes a selection unit that, when a target document is recognized, selects a first mode in which a latest version of a recognition dictionary is applied, or a second mode in which a version of the recognition dictionary is applied, the version of the recognition dictionary having a highest correct answer rate among plural versions different from the latest version, the correct answer rate being obtained from a recognition result and a confirmation or correction result of each of plural documents.

Claims (45)

1. An information processing apparatus comprising:

a processor programmed to

when a target document is to be recognized using a recognition dictionary, select either a first mode in which a latest version of the recognition dictionary is applied, or a second mode in which a prior version, different from the latest version, of the recognition dictionary is applied,

the prior version having a highest correct answer rate among a plurality of versions of the recognition dictionary different from the latest version, the correct answer rate being obtained from a recognition result and a confirmation or correction result of each of a plurality of documents.

2. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the processor is further programmed to:

learn the recognition result as a correct answer when confirmation or correction is not performed on the recognition result using the first mode, and learn the recognition result as an incorrect answer when confirmation or correction is performed on the recognition result using the first mode,

wherein the processor selects the first mode when a proportion of recognition results learned as correct answers is equal to or more than a threshold, and selects the second mode when a proportion of recognition results learned as correct answers is less than the threshold.

3. The information processing apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein the processor

learns the recognition result as a correct answer when confirmation or correction is not performed on the recognition result using any one of the plurality of versions of the recognition dictionary, and

when confirmation or correction is performed on the recognition result using any one of the plurality of versions, determines a result corrected through the confirmation or correction as correct answer data, and learns, as a correct answer, another version that outputs the correct answer data as a recognition result of the document, and

when the processor selects the second mode, the processor determines, as a version of the second mode, a version with which a recognition result is learned as a correct answer a largest number of times among the plurality of versions.

4. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the processor

selects the first mode when a writer of the document is specified, and

selects the second mode when a writer of the document is not specified.

5. The information processing apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein the processor

selects the first mode when a writer of the document is specified, and

selects the second mode when a writer of the document is not specified.

6. The information processing apparatus according to claim 3 , wherein the processor

selects the first mode when a writer of the document is specified, and

selects the second mode when a writer of the document is not specified.

7. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the processor is programmed to:

cause a definition window for defining, as a recognition target, the target document that is unwritten to be displayed, and receive designation of a version of one of the first mode and the second mode from the definition window; and

when the first mode is designated and when a version having a higher correct answer rate than a correct answer rate of the latest version is present among past versions other than the latest version, notify a user about the presence of the version through the definition window.

8. The information processing apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein the processor is programmed to:

cause a definition window for defining, as a recognition target, the target document that is unwritten to be displayed, and receive designation of a version of one of the first mode and the second mode from the definition window; and

when the first mode is designated and when a version having a higher correct answer rate than a correct answer rate of the latest version is present among past versions other than the latest version, notify a user about the presence of the version through the definition window.

9. The information processing apparatus according to claim 3 , wherein the processor is programmed to:

cause a definition window for defining, as a recognition target, the target document that is unwritten to be displayed, and receive designation of a version of one of the first mode and the second mode from the definition window; and

when the first mode is designated and when a version having a higher correct answer rate than a correct answer rate of the latest version is present among past versions other than the latest version, notify a user about the presence of the version through the definition window.

10. The information processing apparatus according to claim 4 , wherein the processor is programmed to:

cause a definition window for defining, as a recognition target, the target document that is unwritten to be displayed, and receive designation of a version of one of the first mode and the second mode from the definition window; and

when the first mode is designated and when a version having a higher correct answer rate than a correct answer rate of the latest version is present among past versions other than the latest version, notify a user about the presence of the version through the definition window.

11. The information processing apparatus according to claim 5 , wherein the processor is programmed to:

a reception unit that causes cause a definition window for defining, as a recognition target, the target document that is unwritten to be displayed, and receive designation of a version of one of the first mode and the second mode from the definition window; and

when the first mode is designated and when a version having a higher correct answer rate than a correct answer rate of the latest version is present among past versions other than the latest version, notify a user about the presence of the version through the definition window.

12. The information processing apparatus according to claim 6 , wherein the processor is programmed to:

cause a definition window for defining, as a recognition target, the target document that is unwritten to be displayed, and receive designation of a version of one of the first mode and the second mode from the definition window; and

when the first mode is designated and when a version having a higher correct answer rate than a correct answer rate of the latest version is present among past versions other than the latest version, notify a user about the presence of the version through the definition window.

13. A non-transitory computer readable medium storing a program causing a computer to execute a process for information processing, the process comprising:

when a target document is to be recognized using a recognition dictionary, selecting either a first mode in which a latest version of the recognition dictionary is applied, or a second mode in which a prior version, different from the latest version, of the recognition dictionary is applied,

the prior version having a highest correct answer rate among a plurality of versions of the recognition dictionary different from the latest version, the correct answer rate being obtained from a recognition result and a confirmation or correction result of each of a plurality of documents.

14. An information processing apparatus comprising:

selection means for, when a target document is to be recognized using a recognition dictionary, selecting either a first mode in which a latest version of the recognition dictionary is applied, or a second mode in which a prior version, different from the latest version, of the recognition dictionary is applied,

the prior version having a highest correct answer rate among a plurality of versions of the recognition dictionary different from the latest version, the correct answer rate being obtained from a recognition result and a confirmation or correction result of each of a plurality of documents.

15. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the confirmation or the correction result is obtained from a person checking correctness of a character recognition on each of the plurality of documents.
