Abstract

An exercise system. A member ID of a member of the exercise system is received. A selection of an exercise routine comprising of two or more exercises is received. Settings associated with a previous performance of at least one of the two or more exercises by the member are provided.

Claims (37)

1. A method comprising:

receiving a member ID of a member, wherein the member ID is contained within a member database and is associated with personal data related to a fitness level of the member;

receiving a selection of an exercise from within a collection of exercises, wherein the exercise selected is associated with an exercise machine type;

determining a frequency of past workouts;

determining one or more settings for an exercise machine of the exercise machine type for a subsequent performance of the exercise selected based on the frequency of past workouts and first performance data from a previous performance of the exercise selected;

wherein the first performance data from the previous performance comprises at least one of a date, a duration, a workout intensity level, a velocity, a blood pressure, a heart rate, a number of calories, a respiration, an energy output, a resistance level, an incline, or a special adjustment to the exercise machine from the previous performance; and

automatically adjusting one or more settings for the exercise machine in accordance with the one or more settings determined.

2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising receiving second performance data of the member recorded during the subsequent performance.

3. The method of claim 2 , further comprising providing a comparison of the second performance data of the member recorded during the subsequent performance with the first performance data of the member recorded during the previous performance.

4. The method of claim 2 , wherein the second performance data comprises a date of the subsequent performance, a heart rate of the member, and notes provided by an instructor who is different from the member.

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the personal data comprises at least one of a name, an age, a gender, a fitness level, a height, a weight, past injuries, fitness goals, or perceived fitness level.

6. The method of claim 1 , further comprising providing a video of how to perform the exercise to an interactive display of the exercise machine.

7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the step of determining one or more settings is performed by the exercise machine.

8. A system comprising at least a processor and a non-transitory memory, wherein the processor is configured to:

receive a member ID of a member, wherein the member ID is contained within a member database and is associated with personal data related to a fitness level of the member;

receive a selection of an exercise from within a collection of exercises, wherein the exercise selected is associated with an exercise machine type;

determining a frequency of past workouts;

determine one or more settings for an exercise machine of the exercise machine type for a subsequent performance of the exercise selected based on the frequency of past workouts and first performance data from a previous performance the exercise selected;

wherein the first performance data from the previous performance comprises at least one of a date, a duration, a workout intensity level, a velocity, a blood pressure, a heart rate, a number of calories, a respiration, an energy output, a resistance level, an incline, or a special adjustment to the exercise machine from the previous performance; and

automatically adjust one or more settings for the exercise machine in accordance with the one or more settings determined.

9. The system of claim 8 , wherein the processor is further configured to receive second performance data of the member recorded during the subsequent performance.

10. The system of claim 9 , wherein the processor is further configured to provide a comparison of the second performance data of the member recorded during the subsequent performance with the first performance data of the member recorded during the previous performance.

11. The system of claim 9 , wherein the second performance data comprises a date of the subsequent performance, a heart rate of the member, and notes provided by an instructor who is different from the member.

12. The system of claim 8 , wherein the personal data comprises at least one of a name, an age, a gender, a fitness level, a height, a weight, past injuries, fitness goals, or perceived fitness level.

13. The system of claim 8 , wherein the processor is further configured to provide a video of how to perform the exercise selected to an interactive display of the exercise machine.

14. A non-transitory computer readable storage medium having a plurality of instructions stored thereon that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:

receive a member ID of a member, wherein the member ID is contained within a member database and is associated with personal data related to a fitness level of the member;

receive a selection of an exercise from within a collection of exercises, wherein the exercise selected is associated with an exercise machine type;

determining a frequency of past workouts;

determine one or more settings for an exercise machine of the exercise machine type for a subsequent performance of the exercise selected based on the frequency of past workouts and first performance data from a previous performance of the exercise selected;

wherein the first performance data from the previous performance comprises at least one of a date, a duration, a workout intensity level, a velocity, a blood pressure, a heart rate, a number of calories, a respiration, an energy output, a resistance level, an incline, or a special adjustment to the exercise machine from the previous performance; and

automatically adjust one or more settings for the exercise machine in accordance with the one or more settings determined.

15. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 14 , wherein the plurality of instructions further comprises instructions that cause the one or more processors to receive second performance data of the member recorded during the subsequent performance.

The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the plurality of instructions further comprises instructions that cause the one or more processors to provide a comparison of the second performance data of the member recorded during the subsequent performance with the first performance data of the member recorded during the previous performance.

17. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the second performance data comprises a date of the subsequent performance, a heart rate of the member, and notes provided by an instructor who is different from the member.

The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 14 , wherein the plurality of instructions further comprises instructions that cause the one or more processors to automatically adjust one or more settings for the exercise machine for a subsequent performance of the exercise selected.

19. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 14 , wherein the plurality of instructions further comprises instructions that cause the one or more processors to provide a video of how to perform the exercise selected to an interactive display of the exercise machine.
