Abstract

A wireless device receives an uplink grant for consecutive subframes. The uplink grant indicates: a number of the consecutive subframes comprising a starting subframe and an ending subframe; and a hybrid automatic repeat request process number (HARQ ID). LBT(s) are performed for transmitting via the consecutive subframes. A packet is transmitted via a first subframe of the consecutive subframes according to a first HARQ ID. The first HARQ ID is equal to ((the HARQ ID plus i) modulo a first pre-configured number). i indicates a subframe position of the first subframe in the consecutive subframes. i is equal to zero for the starting subframe and i is equal to the number minus one for the ending subframe, regardless of an outcome of the LBT(s) for any subframe of the consecutive subframes before the first subframe.

Claims (60)

1. A method comprising:

receiving, by a wireless device, an uplink grant for consecutive subframes, the uplink grant indicating:

a number of the consecutive subframes comprising a starting subframe and an ending subframe; and

a hybrid automatic repeat request process number (HARQ ID);

performing at least one listen-before-talk (LBT) for transmitting via the consecutive subframes; and

transmitting a packet via a first subframe of the consecutive subframes according to a first HARQ ID, wherein:

the first HARQ ID is equal to ((the HARQ ID plus i) modulo a first pre-configured number);

i indicates a subframe position of the first subframe in the consecutive subframes; and

i is equal to zero for the starting subframe and i is equal to the first pre-configured number minus one for the ending subframe, regardless of an outcome of the at least one LBT for any subframe of the consecutive subframes before the first subframe.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the uplink grant comprises at least one of:

an assignment of a plurality of resource blocks; or

a transmit power control command.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the uplink grant comprises at least one of:

a modulation and coding scheme;

a redundancy version (RV); or

a new data indicator (NDI).

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein:

a first LBT of the at least one LBT for the starting subframe indicates a busy channel;

a second LBT of the at least one LBT for a subsequent subframe after the starting subframe indicates a clear channel;

the first subframe is the subsequent subframe; and

i is equal to 1 for the subsequent subframe.

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first pre-configured number depends on a number of HARQ processes supported by the wireless device.

6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the number of the consecutive subframes is less than the first pre-configured number.

7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first HARQ ID is associated with an asynchronous HARQ.

8. The method of claim 1 , wherein the uplink grant is associated with a first number of HARQ processes, the first number of HARQ processes equal to the number of the consecutive subframes.

9. The method of claim 1 , further comprising receiving one or more radio resource control (RRC) messages comprising configuration parameters for an unlicensed cell, wherein the one or more RRC messages further comprise consecutive subframe allocation configuration parameters.

10. The method of claim 1 , wherein the uplink grant comprises:

a first field indicating the number of the consecutive subframes; and

a second field indicating HARQ ID.

11. A wireless device comprising:

one or more processors; and

memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to:

receive an uplink grant for consecutive subframes, the uplink grant indicating:

a number of the consecutive subframes comprising a starting subframe and an ending subframe; and

a hybrid automatic repeat request process number (HARQ ID);

perform at least one listen-before-talk (LBT) for transmitting via the consecutive subframes; and

transmit a packet via a first subframe of the consecutive subframes according to a first HARQ ID, wherein:

the first HARQ ID is equal to ((the HARQ ID plus i) modulo a first pre-configured number);

i indicates a subframe position of the first subframe in the consecutive subframes; and

i is equal to zero for the starting subframe and i is equal to the first pre-configured number minus one for the ending subframe, regardless of an outcome of the at least one LBT for any subframe of the consecutive subframes before the first subframe.

12. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the uplink grant comprises at least one of:

an assignment of a plurality of resource blocks; or

a transmit power control command.

13. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the uplink grant comprises at least one of:

a modulation and coding scheme;

a redundancy version (RV); or

a new data indicator (NDI).

14. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein:

a first LBT of the at least one LBT for the starting subframe indicates a busy channel;

a second LBT of the at least one LBT for a subsequent subframe after the starting subframe indicates a clear channel;

the first subframe is the subsequent subframe; and

i is equal to 1 for the subsequent subframe.

15. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the first pre-configured number depends on a number of HARQ processes supported by the wireless device.

16. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the number of the consecutive subframes is less than the first pre-configured number.

17. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the first HARQ ID is associated with an asynchronous HARQ.

18. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the uplink grant is associated with a first number of HARQ processes, the first number of HARQ processes equal to the number of the consecutive subframes.

The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the wireless device to receive one or more radio resource control (RRC) messages comprising configuration parameters for an unlicensed cell, wherein the one or more RRC messages further comprise consecutive subframe allocation configuration parameters.

20. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the uplink grant comprises:

a first field indicating the number of the consecutive subframes; and

a second field indicating HARQ ID.
