PLANT EXTRACT FROM LOW-THC CANNABIS FOR THE TREATMENT OF DISEASE

1 . Plant extract from the flowers and/or flower-proximal leaves and/or stalks and/or roots and/or seeds of a low-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) variety of Cannabis sativa subspecies sativa for the treatment of diseases.

2 . Plant extract according to claim 1 , wherein solvents and/or mixtures of solvents are used as the extraction medium, the solvents being selected from the group comprising water, table salt solution, low-molecular-weight alcohols, acetone, esters, and ethers.

3 . Plant extract according to claim 2 , wherein, 0.9% table salt solution, 90% ethanol, or 70% isopropanol is used as the extraction medium.

4 . Plant extract according to claim 1 , wherein the low-THC variety of Cannabis sativa subspecies sativa is the variety Futura 75.

5 . Plant extract according to claim 1 , wherein the THC content is less than 2% (wt.-%) THC content.

6 . Method for the production of a plant extract from the flowers and/or flower-proximal leaves and/or stalks and/or roots and/or seeds of a low-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) variety of Cannabis sativa subspecies sativa , comprising the steps of

a) drying the flowers and/or flower-proximal leaves and/or stalks and/or roots and/or seeds,

b) pulverizing the flowers and/or flower-proximal leaves and/or stalks and/or roots and/or seeds, and

c) extracting the flowers and/or flower-proximal leaves and/or stalks and/or roots and/or seeds.

7 . Method according to claim 6 , wherein the extraction in c) comprises the steps of

c-1) admixing the flowers and/or flower-proximal leaves and/or stalks and/or roots and/or seeds for 24 hours-48 hours with an extraction medium at room temperature, and

c-2) filtering the extract.

8 . Method according to claim 6 , further comprising the step of

d) freeze-drying of the acquired extract or

e) vacuum extraction of the acquired extract.

9 . Method according to claim 6 , wherein solvents and/or mixtures of solvents are used as the extraction medium, the solvents being selected from the group comprising water, table salt solution, low-molecular-weight alcohols, acetone, esters, and ethers.

10 . Method according to claim 9 , wherein 0.9% table salt solution, 90% ethanol, or 70% isopropanol is used as the extraction medium.

11 . Method according to claim 6 , wherein the low-THC variety of Cannabis sativa subspecies sativa is preferably the variety Futura 75.

12 . Pharmaceutical, cosmetic or dermatological composition, comprising a plant extract made of the flowers and/or flower-proximal leaves and/or stalks and/or roots and/or seeds of one and/or multiple low-THC varieties of Cannabis sativa subspecies sativa , produced according to the method of claim 6 , and further pharmaceutically suitable aids and/or additives.

17 . Plant extract according to claim 1 , wherein the THC content is less than 0.5 to 0.2% or as low as 0.1 or 0% (wt.-%) THC content
