Method and device for image encoding/decoding on basis of asymmetric sub-block
The present invention relates to a video encoding/decoding method and apparatus. The video decoding method according to the present invention may comprise dividing a coding unit into a plurality of sub-units according to a block division structure and performing decoding based on the sub-unit, wherein the block division structure is a block division structure in which division is performed so as to include at least one sub-unit having a predetermined block form other than square and rectangle forms.
1. A method of decoding a video, the method comprising:
determining a partitioning shape of a coding unit determined to be geometrically partitioned from among a plurality of partitioning shape candidates, the plurality of partitioning shape candidates comprising an asymmetrically divided shape;
constructing a merge candidate list of the coding unit including merge candidates;
determining a first merge candidate and a second merge candidate from the merge candidates in the merge candidate list of the coding unit, wherein the first merge candidate is different from the second merge candidate;
deriving first geometrical partition motion information from either L0 motion information or L1 motion information of the first merge candidate;
deriving second geometrical partition motion information from either L0 motion information or L1 motion information of the second merge candidate; and
decoding the coding unit based on the first geometrical partition motion information, the second geometrical partition motion information and the partitioning shape of the coding unit.
2. The method of claim 1 , wherein whether to geometrically partition a coding unit is determined based on a flag representing whether or not the coding unit is geometrically partitioned.
3. The method of claim 2 , wherein the flag representing whether or not the coding unit is geometrically partitioned is determined based on coding parameters of the coding unit.
4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the partitioning shape is determined based on an index representing a partitioning shape of the coding unit.
5. The method of claim 4 , wherein a partition direction and a partition distance of the coding unit is derived from the index representing the partitioning shape of the coding unit.
6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first merge candidate and the second merge candidate are determined based on first merge index information and second merge index information of the coding unit.
7. A method of encoding a video, the method comprising:
determining a partition shape of a coding unit determined to be geometrically partitioned from among a plurality of partitioning shape candidates, the plurality of partitioning shape candidates comprising an asymmetrically divided shape;
constructing a merge candidate list of the coding unit including merge candidates;
determining a first merge candidate and a second merge candidate from the merge candidates in the merge candidate list of the coding unit, wherein the first merge candidate is different from the second merge candidate;
deriving first geometrical partition motion information from either L0 motion information or L1 motion information of the first merge candidate;
deriving second geometrical partition motion information from either L0 motion information or L1 motion information of the second merge candidate; and
encoding the coding unit based on the first geometrical partition motion information, the second geometrical partition motion information and the partitioning shape of the coding unit.
8. The method of claim 7 , wherein whether to geometrically partition a coding unit is determined based on a flag representing whether or not the coding unit is geometrically partitioned.
9. The method of claim 8 , wherein the flag representing whether or not the coding unit is geometrically partitioned is determined based on coding parameters of the coding unit.
10. The method of claim 7 , wherein an index representing a partitioning shape of the coding unit is encoded based on the partitioning shape.
11. The method of claim 1 , wherein the index representing the partitioning shape of the coding unit represents a partition direction and a partition distance of the coding unit.
12. The method of claim 7 , wherein first merge index information and second merge index information of the coding unit is generated by encoding the first merge candidate and the second merge candidate.
13. A computer readable recording medium storing a bitstream generated by a video encoding method,
wherein the bitstream includes encoded video data, and
wherein the encoding method includes:
determining a partitioning shape of a coding unit determined to be geometrically partitioned from among a plurality of partitioning shape candidates, the plurality of partitioning shape candidates comprising an asymmetrically divided shape;
constructing a merge candidate list of the coding unit including merge candidates;
determining a first merge candidate and a second merge candidate from the merge candidates in the merge candidate list of the coding unit, wherein the first merge candidate is different from the second merge candidate;
deriving first geometrical partition motion information from either L0 motion information or L1 motion information of the first merge candidate;
deriving second geometrical partition motion information from either L0 motion information or L1 motion information of the second merge candidate; and
encoding the coding unit based on the first geometrical partition motion information, the second geometrical partition motion information and the partitioning shape of the coding unit.
