Radio communication system, radio station, radio terminal, communication control method, and non-transitory computer readable medium
A radio terminal ( 3 ) can perform carrier aggregation using a first cell ( 10 ) of a first radio station ( 1 ) and a second cell ( 20 ) of a second radio station ( 2 ). The first radio station ( 1 ) or the second radio station ( 2 ) transmits constraint information to the radio terminal ( 3 ). The constraint information contains an information element necessary to specify a reception constraint and/or transmission constraint related to the first cell ( 10 ) and/or the second cell ( 20 ) when the carrier aggregation is performed. The reception/transmission constraint is a constraint related to downlink signal reception/uplink signal transmission by the radio terminal over one or more subframe periods of the primary cell ( 10 ) and the secondary cell ( 20 ). It is thus, for example, possible to contribute to reduction in wasteful power consumption in the radio terminal in the carrier aggregation of a plurality of cells served by different radio stations.
1. A radio station, comprising:
a memory storing instructions; and
at least one processor configured to process the instructions to:
communicate with a radio terminal configured to perform Dual Connectivity using at least a second cell of the radio station and a first cell of another radio station, and receive an RRC (Radio Resource Control) message including a first DRX (Discontinuous Reception) configuration information for the first cell from the other radio station via an interface between the radio station and the other radio station; and
transmit the RRC message to the radio terminal while an establishment of RRC connection in the first cell is maintained, wherein
the RRC message is transmitted by an SRB (Signaling Radio Bearer) from the radio station to the radio terminal in the second cell.
2. The radio station according to claim 1 , wherein the at least one processor is configured to process the instructions to:
transmit a second DRX configuration information for the second cell to the other radio station via the interface, wherein
the second DRX configuration information is independently configured from the first DRX configuration information.
3. The radio station according to claim 2 , wherein
the RRC message includes the second DRX configuration information.
4. A radio terminal comprising:
a memory storing instructions; and
at least one processor configured to process the instructions to:
perform Dual Connectivity using a first cell of a first radio station and a second cell of a second radio station,
receive an RRC (Radio Resource Control) message including a first DRX (Discontinuous Reception) configuration information for the first cell, by an SRB (Signaling Radio Bearer) from the second radio station in the second cell, while maintaining an establishment of RRC connection in the first cell, wherein
the RRC message is sent from the first radio station to the second radio station via a direct interface.
5. The radio terminal according to claim 4 , wherein
the RRC message includes a second DRX configuration information for the second cell sent from the second radio station to the first radio station, and
the second DRX configuration information is independently configured from the first DRX configuration information.
6. A method in a radio station, comprising:
communicating with a radio terminal configured to perform Dual Connectivity using at least a second cell of the radio station and a first cell of another radio station, and receive an RRC (Radio Resource Control) message including a first DRX (Discontinuous Reception) configuration information for the first cell from the other radio station via an interface between the radio station and the other radio station; and
transmitting the RRC message to the radio terminal while an establishment of RRC connection in the first cell is maintained, wherein
the RRC message is transmitted by a SRB (Signaling Radio Bearer) from the radio station to the radio terminal in the second cell.
7. The method according to claim 6 , further comprising:
transmitting a second DRX configuration information for the second cell to the other radio station via the interface, wherein
the second DRX configuration information is independently configured from the first DRX configuration information.
8. The radio station according to claim 7 , wherein
the RRC message includes the second DRX configuration information.
9. A method in a radio terminal configured to perform Dual Connectivity using a first cell of a first radio station and a second cell of a second radio station, the method comprising:
receiving an RRC (Radio Resource Control) message including a first DRX (Discontinuous Reception) configuration information for the first cell, by a SRB (Signaling Radio Bearer) from the second radio station in the second cell, while maintaining an establishment of RRC connection in the first cell, wherein
the RRC message is sent from the first radio station to the second radio station via a direct interface.
10. The method according to claim 9 , wherein
the RRC message includes a second DRX configuration information for the second cell sent from the second radio station to the first radio station, and
the second DRX configuration information is independently configured from the first DRX configuration information.
