Abstract

Deploying a mobile health device to provide a health service for a person for a health condition includes accessing a profile of the person, defining a value for a first parameter of the mobile health device based on the profile, configuring the mobile health device based on the value of the first parameter, and giving possession of the mobile health device to the person. Deploying a mobile health device to provide a health service for a person for a health condition may also include, after giving possession of the mobile health device, receiving a first communication from the mobile health device, in response to receiving the first communication, sending a second communication to a second device associated with the person, receiving a third communication, and authenticating that an operator in possession of the mobile health device is the person based on receipt of the third communication.

Claims (41)

1 .- 40 . (canceled)

41 . A method of deploying a mobile health device to provide a health service for a person for a health condition, the method comprising:

accessing a profile of the person;

defining a value for a first parameter of the mobile health device based on the profile;

configuring the mobile health device based on the value of the first parameter; and

giving possession of the mobile health device to the person.

42 . The method of claim 41 , further comprising:

after giving possession of the mobile health device, receiving a first communication from the mobile health device;

in response to receiving the first communication, sending a second communication to a second device associated with the person;

receiving a third communication; and

authenticating that an operator in possession of the mobile health device is the person based on receipt of the third communication.

43 . The method of claim 42 , wherein the second communication includes an access code, wherein the third communication is from the mobile health device and includes the access code, and wherein authenticating is based on the third communication including the access code.

44 . The method of claim 42 , wherein the third communication is from the second device, and wherein authenticating is based on the third communication being received from the second device.

45 . The method of claim 41 , further comprising:

creating the profile for the person at a time of purchase or order of the mobile health device.

46 . The method of claim 41 , wherein the profile includes a first parameter value specific to the person and associated with a health condition of the person.

47 . The method of claim 46 , wherein the mobile health device includes a health sensor for monitoring a value of a health metric of the person, and wherein the first parameter value is specific to the health sensor.

48 . A system for deploying a mobile health device to provide a health service for a person having a health condition, the system comprising:

one or more processors; and

a memory having code stored thereon that, when executed, accesses a profile of the person, defines a value for a first parameter of the mobile health device based on the profile, and configures the mobile health device based on the value of the first parameter.

49 . The system of claim 48 , wherein the code, when executed, receives a first communication from the mobile health device after the person takes possession of the mobile health device, sends a second communication to a second device associated with the person in response to receiving the first communication, receives a third communication, and, based on receipt of the third communication, authenticates that an operator in possession of the mobile health device is the person.

50 . The system of claim 49 , wherein the second communication includes an access code, wherein the third communication is from the mobile health device and includes the access code, and wherein the authenticating is based on the third communication including the access code.

51 . The system of claim 49 , wherein the third communication is from the second device, and wherein authenticating is based on the third communication being received from the second device.

52 . The system of claim 48 , wherein the code, when executed, creates the profile for the person at a time of purchase or order of the mobile health device.

53 . The system of claim 48 , wherein the profile includes a first parameter value specific to the person and associated with the health condition of the person.

54 . The system of claim 53 , wherein the mobile health device includes a health sensor for monitoring a value of a health metric of the person, and wherein the first parameter value is specific to the health sensor.

55 . Non-transitory computer-readable media having software stored thereon that deploys a mobile health device to provide a health service for a person with a health condition, the software comprising:

executable code that accesses a profile of the person;

executable code that defines a value for a first parameter of the mobile health device based on the profile; and

executable code that, prior to possession of the mobile health device being given to the person, configures the mobile health device based on the value of the first parameter.

56 . The non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 55 , the software further comprising:

executable code that, after possession of the mobile health device has been given to the person, receives a first communication from the mobile health device;

executable code that, in response to receiving the first communication, sends a second communication to a second device associated with the person;

executable code that receives a third communication; and

executable code that authenticates that an operator in possession of the mobile health device is the person based on receipt of the third communication.

57 . The non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 56 , wherein the second communication includes an access code, the third communication is from the mobile health device and includes the access code, and authenticating is based on the third communication including the access code.

58 . The non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 56 , wherein the third communication is from the second device, and wherein the authenticating is based on the third communication being received from the second device.

59 . The non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 55 , the software further comprising:

executable code that creates the profile for the person at a time of purchase or order of the mobile health device.

60 . The non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 55 , wherein the mobile health device includes a health sensor for monitoring a value of a health metric of the person, and wherein the profile includes a first parameter value specific to the health sensor.
