Abstract

In various embodiments, a method is presented that includes: generating, via a system including a processor, a gaming bot; receiving, via the system, game telemetry data of a gaming app corresponding to an actual player; generating, via the system, game telemetry data of the gaming app corresponding to the gaming bot; generating, via the system, difference data based on the game telemetry data corresponding to an actual player and the game telemetry data corresponding to the gaming bot, the difference data indicating a difference over time between a first character generated by the actual player and a second character generated by the gaming bot; and updating, via the system, the gaming bot based on the difference data.

Claims (38)

1. A method for use in a game development platform implemented via a machine that includes a processing circuit and a memory, the method comprising:

storing in the memory of the machine, a gaming app under development by the game development platform;

generating, via the machine, a gaming bot that performs artificial intelligence (AI) simulated gameplay of the gaming app;

storing in the memory of the machine, the gaming bot;

receiving, via the machine, game telemetry data of the gaming app corresponding to an actual player;

generating, via the machine, game telemetry data of the gaming app corresponding to the AI simulated gameplay of the gaming app by the gaming bot;

generating, via the machine, difference data based on the game telemetry data corresponding to an actual player and the game telemetry data corresponding to the gaming bot, the difference data indicating a difference over time between a first character generated by the actual player and a second character generated by the gaming bot;

updating, via the machine, the gaming bot based on the difference data; and

utilizing the gaming bot, via the game development platform, in the development of the gaming app.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the difference over time indicates a distance between the first character generated by the actual player and the second character generated by the gaming bot for a plurality of times.

3. The method of claim 2 , wherein the distance is a Euclidean distance.

4. The method of claim 2 , wherein the difference over time indicates an accumulation of the distance between the first character generated by the actual player and the second character generated by the gaming bot for each of the plurality of times.

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the difference over time indicates a difference in accumulated game score between the gaming bot and the actual player during a time period.

6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the difference over time indicates a difference in game achievements between the gaming bot and the actual player during a time period.

7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the difference over time indicates a time difference in reaching a game goal between the gaming bot and the actual player during a time period.

The method of claim 1 , wherein the difference over time indicates a combination of two or more of: a distance between the first character generated by the actual player and the second character generated by the gaming bot for a plurality of times of a time period, a difference in accumulated game score between the gaming bot and the actual player during the time period, a difference in game achievements between the gaming bot and the actual player during the time period, or a time difference in reaching a game goal between the gaming bot and the actual player during the time period.

The method of claim 1 , wherein the gaming bot includes an artificial neural network trained to imitate the actual player based on the game telemetry data of the gaming app corresponding to the actual player, and wherein updating the gaming bot based on the difference data includes retraining the artificial neural network.

The method of claim 9 , wherein the game telemetry data includes pixel data corresponding to the actual player and the gaming bot and wherein the difference over time indicates a pixel distance between the first character generated by the actual player and the second character generated by the gaming bot for a plurality of times.

The method of claim 1 , wherein updating the gaming bot based on the difference data includes iteratively adjusting the gaming bot to adjusted gaming bot configurations, iteratively generating updated difference data corresponding to the adjusted gaming bot configurations, and accepting one of the adjusted gaming bot configurations when the corresponding updated difference data compares favorably to a difference threshold.

12. A machine configured to implement a game development platform, the machine comprises:

a processor;

a memory configured to store operational instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform operations that include:

storing in the memory of the machine, a gaming app under development by the game development platform;

generating a gaming bot that performs artificial intelligence (AI) simulated gameplay of the gaming app;

storing in the memory of the machine, the gaming bot;

receiving game telemetry data of the gaming app corresponding to an actual player;

generating game telemetry data of the gaming app corresponding to the AI simulated gameplay of the gaming app by the gaming bot;

generating difference data based on the game telemetry data corresponding to an actual player and the game telemetry data corresponding to the gaming bot, the difference data indicating a difference over time between a first character generated by the actual player and a second character generated by the gaming bot;

updating the gaming bot based on the difference data; and

utilizing the gaming bot, via the game development platform, in the development of the gaming app.

13. The machine of claim 12 , wherein the difference over time indicates a distance between the first character generated by the actual player and the second character generated by the gaming bot for a plurality of times.

14. The machine of claim 13 , wherein the difference over time indicates an accumulation of the distance between the first character generated by the actual player and the second character generated by the gaming bot for each of the plurality of times.

15. The machine of claim 12 , wherein the difference over time indicates a difference in accumulated game score between the gaming bot and the actual player during a time period.

16. The machine of claim 12 , wherein the difference over time indicates a difference in game achievements between the gaming bot and the actual player during a time period.

17. The machine of claim 12 , wherein the difference over time indicates a time difference in reaching a game goal between the gaming bot and the actual player during a time period.

The machine of claim 12 , wherein the difference over time indicates a combination of two or more of: a distance between the first character generated by the actual player and the second character generated by the gaming bot for a plurality of times of a time period, a difference in accumulated game score between the gaming bot and the actual player during the time period, a difference in game achievements between the gaming bot and the actual player during the time period, or a time difference in reaching a game goal between the gaming bot and the actual player during the time period.

The machine of claim 12 , wherein the gaming bot includes an artificial neural network trained to imitate the actual player based on the game telemetry data of the gaming app corresponding to the actual player, wherein updating the gaming bot based on the difference data includes retraining the artificial neural network and wherein the game telemetry data includes pixel data corresponding to the actual player and the gaming bot and wherein the difference over time indicates a pixel distance between the first character generated by the actual player and the second character generated by the gaming bot for a plurality of times.

20. The machine of claim 12 , wherein updating the gaming bot based on the difference data includes iteratively adjusting the gaming bot to adjusted gaming bot configurations, iteratively generating updated difference data corresponding to the adjusted gaming bot configurations, and accepting one of the adjusted gaming bot configurations when the corresponding updated difference data compares favorably to a difference threshold.
