Abstract

A base station transmits, during a first subframe, an uplink grant triggered in response to transmitting a trigger during a validation duration. The uplink grant indicates resource blocks. During the validation duration, the trigger indicating an uplink subframe for reception is transmitted via the resource blocks. A power headroom value determined for a reference subframe is received during the uplink subframe and via the resource blocks. The reference subframe: is after the first subframe; and is before the uplink subframe.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein a downlink control information (DCI) comprises the uplink grant, wherein a wireless device restarts a power headroom timer in response to receiving the DCI.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein:

the trigger is transmitted in a downlink control information (DCI) that is transmitted via a common search space of a control channel of a licensed assisted access (LAA) cell;

the DCI corresponds to a pre-defined radio network temporary identifier (RNTI); and

the uplink subframe is an uplink subframe of the LAA cell.

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the power headroom value comprises one or more of:

a Type 1 power headroom value; and

6. The method of claim 1 , wherein:

the reference subframe is a predetermined number of subframes later than the first subframe; and

the predetermined number is four.

7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the trigger is transmitted in a downlink control information that comprises:

a subframe format field indicating a subframe format; and

a subframe field indicating a subframe offset.

8. The method of claim 1 , wherein the trigger is transmitted in a downlink control information that is received via a common search space of a downlink control channel.

9. The method of claim 1 , wherein:

the power headroom value comprises a first power headroom value of a first cell;

the first power headroom value is determined assuming that at least one transport block is received in the reference subframe, if the base station transmits the trigger on or before the first subframe indicating transmission of the at least one transport block in the reference subframe; and

the first power headroom value is determined assuming that at least one transport block is not received in the reference subframe, if the base station transmits the trigger after the first subframe indicating transmission of the at least one transport block in the reference subframe.

10. A base station comprising:

one or more processors;

memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the base station to:

transmit during a first subframe, by a base station, an uplink grant triggered in response to transmitting a trigger during a validation duration, the uplink grant indicating resource blocks;

transmit, during the validation duration, the trigger indicating an uplink subframe for reception via the resource blocks; and

receive, during the uplink subframe and via the resource blocks, a power headroom value determined for a reference subframe, wherein the reference subframe:

is after the first subframe; and

is before the uplink subframe.

11. The base station of claim 10 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the base station to transmit at least one message comprising configuration parameters of a plurality of cells comprising a licensed assisted access (LAA) cell, wherein:

the configuration parameters comprise at least one power headroom configuration parameter; and

the uplink subframe is an uplink subframe of the LAA cell.

12. The base station of claim 10 , wherein a downlink control information (DCI) comprises the uplink grant, wherein a wireless device restarts a power headroom timer in response to receiving the DCI.

13. The base station of claim 10 , wherein:

the trigger is received in a downlink control information (DCI) that is received via a common search space of a control channel of a licensed assisted access (LAA) cell;

the DCI corresponds to a pre-defined radio network temporary identifier (RNTI); and

the uplink subframe is an uplink subframe of the LAA cell.

14. The base station of claim 10 , wherein the power headroom value comprises one or more of:

a Type 1 power headroom value; and

a Type 2 power headroom value.

15. The base station of claim 10 , wherein:

the reference subframe is a predetermined number of subframes later than the first subframe; and

the predetermined number is four.

16. The base station of claim 10 , wherein the trigger is received in a downlink control information that comprises:

a subframe format field indicating a subframe format; and

a subframe field indicating a subframe offset.

17. The base station of claim 10 , wherein a downlink control information is received via a common search space of a downlink control channel.

18. The base station of claim 10 , wherein:

the power headroom value comprises a first power headroom value of a first cell;
