SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FACILITATING SECURE SELF PAYMENT TRANSACTIONS OF RETAIL GOODS
Disclosed herein are various embodiments for systems and methods for self-payment and verification of the purchase of retail goods and services. According to an embodiment of the invention, a method for verifying the purchase using a mobile electronic device in wireless communication with a payment verification system and a code generating system is provided, the method comprising the steps of: receiving from a consumer information identifying an item for purchase; receiving from a consumer information identifying payment means for purchasing the item for purchase; processing the information identifying the item for purchase and information identifying payment means and generating a unique QR code indicating a purchase of the item; sending the unique QR code to a mobile device for display by a consumer to the vendor of the item for purchase.

8 . A system comprising:
communications circuitry;
a processor and memory capable of receiving from the communications circuitry information for a transaction including an identification of one or more items to be purchased, and payment information for the one or more items;
instructions running on the processor and stored in the memory that when executed: process the transaction related to a sale of the one or more items and generate a unique code, the unique code corresponding to the transaction and identifying a data record stored in a database, the data record identifying the one or more items and further identifying a payment type for the one or more items; and
the communications circuitry capable of sending the unique code to a mobile device.
9 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the information for the transaction is received from the mobile device and wherein the mobile device is a smartphone.
10 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the information for the transaction is received from the mobile device and wherein the mobile device comprises a smartphone associated with a purchaser of the one or more items.
11 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the unique code corresponds to an image that is optically scannable.
12 . The system of claim 8 , wherein an image of the unique code is displayed at the mobile device for a purchase of the plurality of items.
13 . The system of claim 8 , further comprising one or more internet connection components capable of communication with one or more of a retailer device and/or a mobile device.
14 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the communications circuitry is further capable of receiving a query for item information, and providing a response including product information for the items.
15 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the unique code is represented by a scannable Quick-Response (QR) code.
16 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the unique code is represented by an optically scannable code.
17 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the communications circuitry receives information indicating the mobile device has left a retailer after purchasing the items.
18 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the system is adapted to provide item inventory information to the mobile device.
19 . A system comprising:
communications circuitry;
a processor and memory configured to receive from the communications circuitry information associated with a transaction;
instructions running on the processor and stored in the memory, the processor configured to: process the information in connection with a sale of a plurality of items, and generate a unique code, the unique code corresponding to the transaction and identifying a data record stored in a database, the data record identifying the plurality of items to be purchased and further identifying a payment type for the plurality of items; and
the communications circuitry configured to send the unique code to a remote device.
20 . The system of claim 19 , wherein the information associated with the transaction is received from a smartphone.
21 . The system of claim 19 , wherein the information associated with the transaction is received from a smartphone associated with a purchaser of the items.
22 . The system of claim 19 , wherein an image associated with the unique code is optically scannable.
23 . The system of claim 19 , wherein the unique code is provided in connection with a purchase of the plurality of items.
24 . The system of claim 19 , further comprising one or more internet connection components capable of communication with one or more of a retailer electronic device and/or a mobile device.
25 . The system of claim 19 , wherein the communications circuitry is further capable of receiving a query for item information, and providing a response including product information for the items.
26 . The system of claim 19 , wherein the unique code is represented by a scannable Quick-Response (QR) code.
27 . The system of claim 19 , wherein the unique code is represented by an optically scannable image.
28 . The system of claim 19 , wherein the communications circuitry receives information indicating a mobile device has left a retailer location after purchasing the items.
29 . The system of claim 19 , wherein the system is adapted to provide item inventory information.
