Abstract

Methods and systems are disclosed herein for establishing communication with users based on biometric data. For example, in response to determining that a user has a particular biometric state, the media guidance application may present an option to contact another user that is associated with that biometric state.

Claims (46)

1. A method comprising:

preloading a media asset prior to determining a current biometric state of a user;

determining the current biometric state of the user;

accessing, using control circuitry, a rule associated with a biometric state of the user;

determining, using the control circuitry, that the current biometric state of the user corresponds to the biometric state of the rule;

in response to the determining that the current biometric state of the user corresponds to the biometric state of the rule, posting the media asset that was preloaded prior to determining the current biometric state of the user to a social network without receiving a command from the user to post the media asset.

2. The method of claim 1 further comprising:

determining that an activity of the user is associated with the current biometric state of the user, wherein posting the media asset associated with the activity of the user on the social network is performed in response to the determining that the activity of the user is associated with the current biometric state of the user.

3. The method of claim 1 further comprising:

determining that an activity of the user is associated with the current biometric state of the user, and

positing a message on other users to join the activity of the user in response to the determining that that the activity of the user is associated with the current biometric state of the user.

4. The method of claim 1 further comprising

determining that an activity of the user associated with the current biometric state of the user is a violation to the rule, wherein posting the media asset associated with the activity of the user on the social network is performed in response to the determining that the activity of the user associated with the current biometric state of the user is violation to the rule.

5. The method of claim 1 further comprising:

notifying a second user of the correspondence between the current biometric state of the user and the biometric state of the rule, wherein the second user is different from the user.

6. The method of claim 1 further comprising:

retrieving a message associated with the biometric state of the rule.

7. The method of claim 6 further comprising:

in response to the determining that the current biometric state of the user corresponds to the biometric state of the rule, posting the retrieved message on the social network without receiving a command from the user to post the identified message.

8. The method of claim 1 wherein determining the current biometric state of the user comprises measuring electrical activity associated with a brain of the user, measuring heart rate of the user, measuring blood sample of the user, measuring tissue sample of the user, measuring speech of the user, measuring facial description of the user or combinations thereof.

9. The method of claim 1 further comprising determining one of a temperament or behavior of the user based on the current biometric state of the user.

10. A system comprising:

a memory configured to store a preloaded media asset prior to determining a current biometric state of a user; and

a control circuitry communicably coupled to the memory; the control circuitry is configured to:

determine the current biometric state of the user;

access a rule associated with a biometric state of the user;

determine that the current biometric state of the user corresponds to the biometric state of the rule;

an input/output (I/O) circuitry communicably coupled to the control circuitry; the I/O circuitry is configured to:

in response to the determining that the current biometric state of the user corresponds to the biometric state of the rule, post the media asset stored in the memory that was preloaded prior to determining the current biometric state of the user to a social network without receiving a command from the user to post the media asset.

11. The system of claim 10 wherein the control circuitry is further configured to:

determine that an activity of the user is associated with the current biometric state of the user, wherein posting the media asset associated with the activity of the user on the social network is performed in response to the determining that the activity of the user is associated with the current biometric state of the user.

12. The system of claim 10 wherein the control circuitry is further configured to:

determine that an activity of the user is associated with the current biometric state of the user, and

post a message on other users to join the activity of the user in response to the determining that that the activity of the user is associated with the current biometric state of the user.

13. The system of claim 10 wherein the control circuitry is further configured to:

determine that an activity of the user associated with the current biometric state of the user is a violation to the rule, wherein to post the media asset associated with the activity of the user on the social network is performed in response to the determining that the activity of the user associated with the current biometric state of the user is violation to the rule.

14. The system of claim 10 wherein the control circuitry is further configured to:

notify a second user of the correspondence between the current biometric state of the user and the biometric state of the rule, wherein the second user is different from the user.

15. The system of claim 10 wherein the control circuitry is further configured to:

retrieve a message associated with the biometric state of the rule.

16. The system of claim 15 wherein the control circuitry is further configured to:

in response to the determining that the current biometric state of the user corresponds to the biometric state of the rule, post the retrieved message on the social network without receiving a command from the user to post the identified message.

17. The system of claim 10 wherein to determine the current biometric state of the user, the control circuitry is further configured to:

measure electrical activity associated with a brain of the user, measure heart rate of the user, measuring blood sample of the user, measure tissue sample of the user, measure speech of the user, measure facial description of the user or combinations thereof.

18. The system of claim 10 wherein the control circuitry is further configured to:

determine one of a temperament or behavior of the user based on the current biometric state of the user.
