Abstract

An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a first communication circuit, a second communication circuit, a processor configured to be electrically connected with the first communication circuit and the second communication circuit, and a memory configured to be electrically connected with the processor. The memory includes instructions, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to obtain location information of the electronic device, transmit a first message for requesting to change a state of the electronic device to a network, receive a first response message to the transmitted first message from the network, transmit a second message for requesting a parameter for an operation cycle of the second communication circuit to the network, receive a second response message to the second message from the network, and change the operation cycle of the second communication circuit to a value corresponding to a current state of the electronic device.

Claims (30)

1. An electronic device in a wireless communication system, the electronic device comprising:

a communication circuit;

a processor operatively coupled to the communication circuit; and

a memory operatively coupled to the processor, wherein the memory stores instructions, when executed by the processor, causing the processor to:

obtain, via the communication circuit, location information of an external electronic device from an external server,

determine a state of the external electronic device based on the location information,

transmit, via the communication circuit, a first message requesting to change the state of the external electronic device to the determined state, and

receive, via the communication circuit, a second message indicating that the state of the external electronic device has been changed,

wherein the state of the external electronic device is used for changing an operation cycle of the external electronic device.

2. The electronic device of claim 1 ,

wherein the second message comprises flag data or information representing the state of the external electronic device.

3. The electronic device of claim 1 , wherein the instructions further cause the processor to: determine the state of the external electronic device from a first state to a second state, based on the location information of the external electronic device and at least one of information about a pre-specified area or information about a pre-specified movement path.

4. The electronic device of claim 3 , wherein the instructions further cause the processor to: determine that the electronic device is in one of a third state and a fourth state, based on at least one of movement speed information of the external electronic device or remaining battery power information of external the electronic device.

5. The electronic device of claim 4 , wherein the instructions further cause the processor to: determine that the external electronic device is in the one of the third state and the fourth state, based on priority of the movement speed information and the remaining battery power information of the external electronic device.

6. The electronic device of claim 5 , wherein the first message comprises information for requesting to change the state of the external electronic device to one of the third state and the fourth state.

7. A method of an electronic device in a wireless communication system, comprising:

obtaining location information of an external electronic device from an external server;

determining a state of the external electronic device based on the location information;

transmitting a first message requesting to change the state of the external electronic device to the determined state; and

receiving a second message indicating that the state of the external electronic device has been changed,

wherein the state of the external electronic device is used for changing an operation cycle of the external electronic device.

8. The method of claim 7 ,

wherein the second message comprises flag data or information representing the state of the external electronic device.

9. The method of claim 7 , wherein determining the state of the external electronic device comprises:

determining the state of the external electronic device from a first state to a second state, based on the location information of the external electronic device and at least one of information about a pre-specified area or information about a pre-specified movement path.

10. The method of claim 9 , wherein determining the state of the external electronic device further comprises:

determining that the electronic device is in one of a third state and a fourth state, based on at least one of movement speed information of the external electronic device or remaining battery power information of external the electronic device.

11. The method of claim 10 , wherein determining the state of the external electronic device further comprises:

determining that the external electronic device is in the one of the third state and the fourth state, based on priority of the movement speed information and the remaining battery power information of the external electronic device.

12. The method of claim 11 , wherein the first message comprises information for requesting to change the state of the external electronic device to one of the third state and the fourth state.
