Abstract

Systems and methods for providing content items can generate the content items based on impact scores associated with actions of the content items. The system and methods can include accessing, for an entity, a plurality of record objects linked with one or more electronic activities having the entity as a participant, each record object corresponding to an event to be completed; identifying, for each record object of the plurality of record objects, an action to perform to increase a completion score; determining, for each action, using the electronic activities linked with the record object and a current completion score of the record object, an impact score indicating an amount of change in the completion score of the record object corresponding to the action; and providing, for presentation to a device of the entity, a content item corresponding to the action based on the impact score.

Claims (47)

1. A method comprising:

accessing, by one or more processors, for an entity, a plurality of opportunity record objects of a customer relationship management (CRM) system of record, each opportunity record object of the plurality of opportunity record objects linked with one or more electronic activities having the entity as a participant and corresponding to an event to be completed;

identifying, by the one or more processors, for each opportunity record object of the plurality of opportunity record objects, a plurality of candidate actions to perform to increase a completion score of the opportunity record object;

determining, by the one or more processors, using the electronic activities linked with the opportunity record object and a completion score of the opportunity record object indicating a likelihood that the event will be completed, for each candidate action of the plurality of candidate actions, a respective impact score of the candidate action indicating an amount of change in the completion score of the opportunity record object responsive to performance of the candidate action;

selecting, by the one or more processors, from the plurality of candidate actions, a candidate action of the plurality of candidate actions based on the impact score of the candidate action; and

providing, by the one or more processors, for presentation to a device of the entity, a content item corresponding to the candidate action based on the impact score of the candidate action.

2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

determining, by the one or more processors, the impact score of the candidate action by determining a historical change in a second completion score of a historical opportunity record object responsive to performance of an action similar to the candidate action.

3. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

determining, by the one or more processors, the impact score of the candidate action based on a difference between a timestamp of a stage of the opportunity record object and a timestamp of performing the candidate action for a historical opportunity record object.

4. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

determining, by the one or more processors, a time difference between performing the candidate action for a historical opportunity record object and a timestamp of a stage of the historical opportunity record object; and

providing, by the one or more processors, the content item based on the time difference.

5. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

identifying, by the one or processors, a stage of the opportunity record object based on a stage field-value pair corresponding to the stage of the opportunity record object; and

determining, by the one or more processors, the completion score based on the stage of the opportunity record object.

6. The method of claim 1 , further comprising determining, by the one or more processors, the completion score of the opportunity record object by parsing the one or more electronic activities.

7. The method of claim 1 , wherein determining the impact score comprises determining, by the one or more processors, the impact score based on a type of a recipient of the candidate action and a type of the candidate action.

8. The method of claim 1 , wherein each opportunity record object comprises a plurality of object field-value pairs including a stage field-value pair indicating a stage of the opportunity record object in a process, the event corresponding to the process.

9. A system comprising:

one or more processors coupled to memory, the one or more processors configured to:

access, for an entity, a plurality of opportunity record objects of a customer relationship management (CRM) system of record, each opportunity record object of the plurality of opportunity record objects linked with one or more electronic activities having the entity as a participant and corresponding to an event to be completed;

identify, for each opportunity record object of the plurality of opportunity record objects, a plurality of candidate actions to perform to increase a completion score of the opportunity record object;

determine, using the electronic activities linked with the opportunity record object and a completion score of the opportunity record object indicating a likelihood that the event will be completed, for each candidate action of the plurality of candidate actions, a respective impact score of the candidate action indicating an amount of change in the completion score of the opportunity record object responsive to performance of the candidate action;

select, from the plurality of candidate actions, a candidate action of the plurality of candidate actions based on the impact score of the candidate action; and

provide, for presentation to a device of the entity, a content item corresponding to the candidate action based on the impact score of the candidate action.

10. The system of claim 9 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to:

determine the impact score of the candidate action by determining a historical change in a second completion score of a historical opportunity record object responsive to performance of an action similar to the candidate action.

11. The system of claim 9 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to:

determine the impact score of the candidate action based on a difference between a timestamp of a stage of the opportunity record object and a timestamp of performing the candidate action for a historical opportunity record object.

12. The system of claim 9 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to:

determine a time difference between performing the candidate action for a historical opportunity record object and a timestamp of a stage of the historical opportunity record object; and

provide the content item based on the time difference.

13. The system of claim 9 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to:

identify a stage of the opportunity record object based on a stage field-value pair corresponding to the stage of the opportunity record object; and

determine the completion score based on the stage of the opportunity record object.

14. The system of claim 9 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to determine the completion score of the opportunity record object by parsing the one or more electronic activities.

15. The system of claim 9 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to determine the impact score based on a type of a recipient of the candidate action and a type of the candidate action.

16. The system of claim 9 , wherein each opportunity record object comprises a plurality of object field-value pairs including a stage field-value pair indicating a stage of the opportunity record object in a process, the event corresponding to the process.

17. A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing instructions, which when executed by one or more processors, causes the one or more processors to:

access, for an entity, a plurality of opportunity record objects of a customer relationship management (CRM) system of record, each opportunity record object of the plurality of opportunity record objects linked with one or more electronic activities having the entity as a participant and corresponding to an event to be completed;

identify, for each opportunity record object of the plurality of opportunity record objects, a plurality of candidate actions to perform to increase a completion score of the opportunity record object;

determine, using the electronic activities linked with the opportunity record object and a completion score of the opportunity record object indicating a likelihood that the event will be completed, for each candidate action of the plurality of candidate actions, a respective impact score of the candidate action indicating an amount of change in the completion score of the opportunity record object responsive to performance of the candidate action;

select, from the plurality of candidate actions, a candidate action of the plurality of candidate actions based on the impact score of the candidate action; and

provide, for presentation to a device of the entity, a content item corresponding to the candidate action based on the impact score of the candidate action.

18. The computer-readable storage medium of claim 17 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to:

determine the impact score of the candidate action by determining a historical change in a second completion score of a historical opportunity record object responsive to performance of an action similar to the candidate action.
