Control apparatus, control method, and storage medium

1. A control apparatus that displays a predetermined code, the control apparatus comprising:

a display device;

a notification device equipped separately from the display device; and

at least one processor operating to:

receive an operation from a user;

control the notification device to provide a predetermined notification separately from a screen displayed by the display device; and

control the display device to display the predetermined screen or the predetermined code,

wherein, based on a case where a predetermined condition for changing a screen displayed by the display device is satisfied, a predetermined screen is displayed on the display device and the predetermined notification is provided by the notification device, and

wherein, in a case where the operation is received from the user while the predetermined screen is being displayed by the display device and the predetermined notification is being provided by the notification device, the predetermined code is displayed on the display device.

The control apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the predetermined code is not displayed in a case where the operation is received from the user while another screen different form the predetermined screen is being displayed by the display device and the predetermined notification is not being provided by the notification device.

3. The control apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the predetermined screen is a screen for which corresponding contents are present externally.

4. The control apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein, in a case where the operation is received from the user while the predetermined notification is being provided by the notification device, the predetermined code is displayed instead of the predetermined screen being displayed on the display device.

5. The control apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein, in a case where the operation is received from the user while the another screen is being displayed and the predetermined notification is not being provided by the notification device, a guide screen is displayed instead of the another screen being displayed on the display device.

6. The control apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein, in a case where the notification device provides the predetermined notification for the first time, a guide screen is displayed instead of the predetermined screen being displayed on the display device regardless of the operation from the user.

7. The control apparatus according to claim 1 , further comprising a predetermined key,

wherein the operation from the user is received via the predetermined key.

8. The control apparatus according to claim 7 , further comprising a second key,

wherein, in a case where the second key is pressed while the predetermined code is being displayed on the display device, a screen displayed on the display device before the predetermined code is displayed is displayed.

9. The control apparatus according to claim 7 ,

wherein the notification device corresponds to an indicator light, and

wherein the indicator light is arranged on the predetermined key.

10. The control apparatus according to claim 2 ,

wherein the notification device corresponds to an indicator light, and

wherein the indicator light is controlled to be turned on in a case where the predetermined screen is being displayed on the display device and is the indicator light is controlled to be turned off in a case where the another screen is being displayed on the display device.

11. The control apparatus according to claim 2 ,

wherein the notification device corresponds to a notification sound output device, and

wherein the notification sound output device is controlled to output sound in a case where the predetermined screen is being displayed on the display device and is configured to control the notification sound output device not to output the sound in a case where the another screen is being displayed on the display device.

12. The control apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein reference is made to a table in which a screen ID for identifying a screen is associated with information corresponding to the screen ID, so as to determine whether the predetermined code is to be displayed.

13. The control apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein a screen ID for identifying a screen to a predetermined server is sent, so as to determine whether the predetermined code is to be displayed, based on a response from the predetermined server.

14. The control apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the predetermined code represents a URL for accessing contents stored in a server.

15. The control apparatus according to claim 14 , wherein the contents correspond to a manual relating to the control apparatus.

16. The control apparatus according to claim 1 ,

wherein the display device is configured to display at least one of a plurality of screens as the predetermined screen, and

wherein, in a case where the operation is received from the user while the predetermined screen is being displayed by the display device and the predetermined notification is being provided by the notification device, one of a plurality of codes corresponding respectively to the plurality of screens is displayed as the predetermined code, the one of the plurality of codes corresponding to the screen being displayed on the display device.

17. The control apparatus according to claim 16 , wherein, in response to reception of the operation, a code corresponding to the screen being displayed on the display device from among the plurality of screens is generated so as to display the generated code.

18. The control apparatus according to claim 1 , further comprising a printing engine configured to print an image on a print sheet.

19. The control apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the predetermined condition corresponds to the operation that has been performed by the user or a predetermined event that has occurred.

20. A control method of a control apparatus including a display unit, a reception unit configured to receive an operation from a user, and a notification unit equipped separately from the display unit and configured to provide a predetermined notification separately from a screen displayed by the display unit, the control method comprising:

providing the predetermined notification by the notification unit; and

displaying the predetermined screen or the predetermined code on the display unit,

wherein, based on a case where a predetermined condition for changing a screen displayed by the display unit is satisfied, the displaying includes displaying a predetermined screen by the display unit and the providing includes providing the predetermined notification by the notification unit, and

wherein, in a case where the operation is received by the reception unit from the user while the predetermined screen is being displayed by the display unit and the predetermined notification is being provided by the notification unit, the displaying includes displaying the predetermined code by the display unit.

21. A non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing a program which causes a computer to perform a control method of a control apparatus including a display unit, a reception unit configured to receive an operation from a user, and a notification unit equipped separately from the display unit and configured to provide a predetermined notification separately from a screen displayed by the display unit, the control method comprising:

providing the predetermined notification by the notification unit; and

displaying the predetermined screen or the predetermined code on the display unit,

wherein, based on a case where a predetermined condition for changing a screen displayed by the display unit is satisfied, the displaying includes displaying a predetermined screen by the display unit and the providing includes providing the predetermined notification by the notification unit, and

wherein, in a case where the operation is received by the reception unit from the user while the predetermined screen is being displayed by the display unit and the predetermined notification is being provided by the notification unit, the displaying includes displaying the predetermined code by the display unit.
