Abstract

Embodiments of a method and system for facilitating improvement of a user condition through tailored communication with a user can include receiving a log of use dataset associated with a digital communication behavior at a mobile device, the log of use dataset further associated with a time period; receiving a mobility supplementary dataset corresponding to a mobility-related sensor of the mobile device, the mobility supplementary dataset associated with the time period; determining a tailored communication plan for the user based on at least one of the log of use dataset and the mobility supplementary dataset; transmitting, based on the tailored communication plan, a communication to the user at the mobile device; and promoting a therapeutic intervention to the user in association with transmitting the communication.

Claims (41)

1. A method for promoting user treatment through tailored communication with a user, the method comprising:

receiving a log of use dataset at a first client application executing on a first mobile device associated with the user;

in response to receiving the log of use dataset, prompting a care provider associated with the user to provide a care provider dataset based on the log of use dataset;

receiving the care provider dataset at a second client application executing on a second user device associated with the care provider;

improving operation of a processing system configured to generate a tailored communication plan for the user based on the log of use dataset, the care provider dataset, and a trained communication model,

wherein improving operation comprises improving speed of retrieval of the communication model from a plurality of trained communication models based upon a user identifier of the user that corresponds to a model identifier of the communication model;

receiving a second log of use dataset at the first client application;

tagging the second log of use dataset with a set of one or more topic tags;

automatically transmitting an automated message to the user at the first client application, wherein the automated message is determined based on the set of one or more topic tags and the tailored communication plan;

iteratively re-training at least a portion of the trained communication models to maximize a reward associated with a response to the update received from the user;

automatically initiating an update of the tailored communication plan using the re-trained set of communication models, the update operable to improve a health condition of the user; and

automatically propagating the update to a set of other users, the set of other users and the user having a shared user condition, the propagated update operable to improve health conditions of the set of other users, thereby improving an effectiveness of care based upon outputs of the communication models to the set of other users.

2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising receiving a second care provider dataset in response to the second log of use dataset.

3. The method of claim 2 , further comprising updating the tailored communication plan based on the second care provider dataset.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein a topic tag of the set of one or more topic tags is associated with an emergency event.

5. The method of claim 4 , further comprising updating the tailored communication plan based on the emergency event.

6. The method of claim 1 , further comprising collecting, at the first client application, a supplementary dataset associated with the user.

7. The method of claim 6 , wherein the supplementary dataset characterizes a device usage of the user at the first client application.

8. The method of claim 1 , wherein the care provider dataset comprises an assessment of a set of goals associated with the user.

9. The method of claim 8 , further comprising assigning the user to a user subgroup based on one or more of the set of goals.

10. The method of claim 9 , wherein the tailored communication plan is further determined based on the subgroup.

11. The method of claim 1 , further comprising automatically initiating provision of a therapeutic intervention in association with automatically providing the automated message.

12. The method of claim 11 , wherein the therapeutic intervention comprises a reminder to perform a task associated with the set of user goals.

The method of claim 1 , wherein the first log of use dataset comprises content associated with a first communication entered at the first client application and wherein the second log of use dataset comprises content associated with a second communication entered at the first client application.

14. A method for facilitating tailored communication with a user suffering from a psychological disorder, the method comprising:

receiving a first log of use dataset at a first client application executing on a first user device associated with the user, wherein the first log of use dataset comprises content associated with a set of goals of the user entered at the first client application;

tagging the first log of use dataset with a first set of topic tags;

receiving a care provider dataset at a second client application executing on a second user device associated with the care provider;

assigning the user to a user subgroup based on at least one of the first set of topic tags and the care provider dataset;

improving operation of a processing system configured to generate a tailored communication plan for the user based on the user subgroup and a trained communication model,

wherein improving operation comprises improving speed of retrieval of the communication model from a plurality of trained communication models based upon a user identifier of the user that corresponds to a model identifier of the communication model;

receiving a second log of use dataset at the first client application, wherein the second log of use dataset comprises content of a second communication entered at the first client application;

tagging the second log of use dataset with a second set of topic tags;

automatically initiating an update of the tailored communication plan, the update operable to improve a state of the psychological disorder of the user;

automatically transmitting an automated message to the user at the first client application, wherein the automated message is determined based on the updated tailored communication plan and improves a state of the psychological disorder of the user based upon a time at which the automated message is provided, and cognitive reframing content of the automated message; and

automatically propagating the update to a set of other users of the user subgroup, the set of other users and the user having a shared user condition associated with the psychological disorder, the propagated updated operable to improve health conditions of the set of other users; and

iteratively re-training at least a portion of the trained communication models to maximize a reward associated with a response to the update received from one or more users of the set of other users, thereby improving an effectiveness of care based upon outputs of the communication models to the set of other users.

15. The method of claim 14 , further comprising, in response to receiving the first log of use dataset, prompting the care provider to provide the care provider dataset.

16. The method of claim 14 , further comprising collecting, at the first client application, a supplementary dataset associated with the user.

17. The method of claim 16 , wherein the supplementary dataset characterizes a device usage of the user at the first client application, wherein the tailored communication plan is further determined based on the supplementary dataset.

18. The method of claim 14 , further comprising automatically initiating provision of a therapeutic intervention in association with automatically providing an automated message.
