Abstract

A first base station receives, from a wireless device, one or more temporary mobile group identities (TMGIs) of one or more multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) services that the wireless device is receiving or interested to receive. A message requesting resource configuration for the wireless device and comprising the one or more TMGIs is sent to a second base station. An acknowledge message comprising a group-radio network temporary identifier (G-RNTI) of at least one of the one or more MBMS services associated is received from the second base station. A radio resource control message comprising the G-RNTI is transmitted to the wireless device.

receiving, by a first base station from a wireless device, one or more temporary mobile group identities (TMGIs) of one or more multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) services that the wireless device is receiving or interested to receive;

sending, to a second base station, a message requesting resource configuration for the wireless device and comprising the one or more TMGIs;

receiving, by the first base station from the second base station, an acknowledge message comprising a group-radio network temporary identifier (G-RNTI) of at least one of the one or more MBMS services; and

transmitting, by the first base station to the wireless device, a radio resource control message comprising the G-RNTI.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the resource configuration is for at least one of:

a handover of the wireless device; or

a secondary node addition for the wireless device.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the radio resource control message comprises at least one of:

a handover command; or

a radio resource control reconfiguration for a secondary node addition.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the acknowledge message comprises MBMS configuration parameters of the at least one of the one or more MBMS services, the MBMS configuration parameters comprising at least one of:

a TMGI of the one or more TMGIs; or

an MBMS session identifier.

5. The method of claim 4 , wherein the MBMS configuration parameters comprises at least one of:

single cell multicast traffic channel (SC-MTCH) scheduling parameters comprising at least one of:

an on-duration timer single cell point to multipoint (SCPTM);

a discontinuous reception (DRX) inactivity timer SCPTM; or

a scheduling period start offset SCPTM; or

a cell identifier of an SC-MTCH neighbor cell providing at least one of the one or more MBMS services on SC-MTCH.

6. The method of claim 4 , wherein the MBMS configuration parameters comprises at least one of:

a radio frame allocation period;

a radio frame allocation offset; or

one or more subframe allocation parameters.

7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the message comprises at least one of:

an MBMS frequency;

an MBMS session identifier;

a group-radio network temporary identifier (G-RNTI) of an MBMS service or a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) service;

a destination layer-2 identifier for an MBMS service or a V2X service;

an MBMS service priority; or

a V2X service priority.

8. The method of claim 1 , further comprising transmitting, by the second base station, transport blocks comprising MBMS transport blocks providing the at least one of the one or more MBMS services.

9. The method of claim 1 , further comprising receiving, by the wireless device from the second base station, MBMS transport blocks of the at least one of the one or more MBMS services based on the G-RNTI.

10. The method of claim 1 , further comprising transmitting, by the second base station, at least one configuration message of a system information block type 20 (SIB20) or a single cell point to a multipoint (SCPTM) configuration message, the at least one configuration message comprising the G-RNTI.

11. A first base station comprising:

one or more processors; and

memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the first base station to:

receive, from a wireless device, one or more temporary mobile group identities (TMGIs) of one or more multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) services that the wireless device is receiving or interested to receive;

send, to a second base station, a message requesting resource configuration for the wireless device and comprising the one or more TMGIs;

receive, from the second base station, an acknowledge message comprising a group-radio network temporary identifier (G-RNTI) of at least one of the one or more MBMS services associated; and

transmit, to the wireless device, a radio resource control message comprising the G-RNTI.

12. The first base station of claim 11 , wherein the resource configuration is for at least one of:

a handover of the wireless device; or

a secondary node addition for the wireless device.

13. The first base station of claim 11 , wherein the radio resource control message comprises at least one of:

a handover command; or

a radio resource control reconfiguration for a secondary node addition.

14. The first base station of claim 11 , wherein the acknowledge message comprises MBMS configuration parameters of the at least one of the one or more MBMS services, the MBMS configuration parameters comprising at least one of:

a TMGI of the one or more TMGIs; or

an MBMS session identifier.

15. The first base station of claim 14 , wherein the MBMS configuration parameters comprises at least one of:

single cell multicast traffic channel (SC-MTCH) scheduling parameters comprising at least one of:

an on-duration timer single cell point to multipoint (SCPTM);

a discontinuous reception (DRX) inactivity timer SCPTM; or

a scheduling period start offset SCPTM; or

a cell identifier of an SC-MTCH neighbor cell providing at least one of the one or more MBMS services on SC-MTCH.

16. The first base station of claim 14 , wherein the MBMS configuration parameters comprises at least one of:

a radio frame allocation period;

a radio frame allocation offset; or

one or more subframe allocation parameters.

17. The first base station of claim 11 , wherein the message comprises at least one of:

an MBMS frequency;

an MBMS session identifier;

a group-radio network temporary identifier (G-RNTI) of an MBMS service or a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) service;

a destination layer-2 identifier for an MBMS service or a V2X service;

an MBMS service priority; or
