Abstract

A display assembly includes a display component and a flexible stratum. The flexible stratum includes a first side coupled to the display component and a second side opposite to the first side. The second side includes protruding portions separate apart from each other, and one of the protruding portions includes a side section, a top section, and a tapering section extending from the side section to the top section and having a curved surface.

Claims (22)

1. A flexible display assembly, comprising:

a display component; and

a flexible stratum including a first side coupled to the display component and a second side opposite to the first side,

wherein the second side includes a combination of two first protrusions and a plurality of second protrusions disposed between the two first protrusions, one of the first protrusions has a first width in a cross-sectional view, one of the second protrusions has a second width in the cross-sectional view, and the first width is greater than the second width,

wherein, in a plan view, the one of the first protrusions or the one of the second protrusions includes at least a rounded corner.

2. The flexible display assembly of claim 1 , wherein, in a plan view, the first protrusions and the second protrusions have different shapes.

3. The flexible display assembly of claim 1 , wherein the one of the first protrusions includes a first top section and the one of the second protrusions includes a second top section, in a plan view, the first top section of the one of the first protrusions has a first area and the second top section of the one of the second protrusions has a second area, and the first area is greater than the second area.

4. The flexible display assembly of claim 1 , wherein the display component includes a driving circuit layer and a display layer electrically connected to the driving circuit layer.

5. The flexible display assembly of claim 1 , wherein the one of the first protrusions has a first thickness along a direction from the first side toward the second side in the cross-sectional view, the one of the second protrusions has a second thickness along the direction from the first side toward the second side in the cross-sectional view, and the first thickness is greater than the second thickness.

6. The flexible display assembly of claim 1 , wherein the flexible stratum includes a recessed portion spacing the one of the first protrusions and the one of the second protrusions.

7. The flexible display assembly of claim 1 , further comprising a cover layer disposed on the display component, wherein the display component is disposed between the cover layer and the flexible stratum.

8. A flexible display assembly, comprising:

a display component;

a flexible substrate including a first surface coupled to the display component and a second surface opposite to the first surface; and

a supporting layer coupled to the second surface, the supporting layer including a combination of two first protrusions and a plurality of second protrusions disposed between the two first protrusions, wherein one of the first protrusions has a first width in a cross-sectional view, one of the second protrusions has a second width in the cross-sectional view, and the first width is greater than the second width,

wherein, in a plan view, the one of the first protrusions or the one of the second protrusions includes at least a rounded corner.

9. The flexible display assembly of claim 8 , wherein, in a plan view, the first protrusions and the second protrusions have different shapes.

10. The flexible display assembly of claim 8 , wherein the one of the first protrusions includes a first top section and the one of the second protrusions includes a second top section, in a plan view, the first top section of the one of the first protrusions has a first area and the second top section of the one of the second protrusions has a second area, and the first area is greater than the second area.

11. The flexible display assembly of claim 8 , wherein the display component includes a driving circuit layer and a display layer electrically connected to the driving circuit layer.

12. The flexible display assembly of claim 8 , wherein the one of the first protrusions has a first thickness along a direction from the first surface toward the second surface in the cross-sectional view, the one of the second protrusions has a second thickness along the direction from the first surface toward the second surface in the cross-sectional view, and the first thickness is greater than the second thickness.

13. The flexible display assembly of claim 8 , wherein the supporting layer includes a recessed portion spacing the one of the first protrusions and the one of the second protrusions.

14. The flexible display assembly of claim 8 , further comprising a cover layer disposed on the display component, wherein the display component is disposed between the cover layer and the flexible substrate.
