Abstract

A fluid manifold is capable of channeling and monitoring fluid flow within a fluid distribution system. The manifold includes one or more input lumens. Each input lumen associated with a respective inlet port. The manifold also includes a plurality of output lumens such that each output lumen is associated with a respective outlet port and at least one input lumen is coupled to two or more output lumens. The manifold also includes one or more flow sensors capable of measuring fluid flow parameters of fluid flowing through at least one of the one or more input lumens and the plurality of output lumens. In some implementations, a flow sensor can be mounted to each output lumen of the manifold.

Claims (32)

1. A fluid manifold for channeling fluid flow, the fluid manifold comprising:

a first inlet tubular structure having a first inlet port and a plurality of first output tubular structures extending from the first inlet tubular structure for channeling fluid out of the first inlet tubular structure; and

a second inlet tubular structure having a second inlet port and a plurality of second output tubular structures extending from the second inlet tubular structure for channeling fluid out of the second inlet tubular structure,

each of the plurality of first output tubular structures extending transversally across the second inlet tubular structure, and each of the plurality of second output tubular structures extending transversally across the first inlet tubular structure.

2. The fluid manifold of claim 1 , further comprising:

a pair of ultrasonic transducers for measuring fluid flow rate of fluid in the first inlet tubular structure.

3. The fluid manifold of claim 1 , further comprising:

a pressure sensor for measuring fluid pressure in the first inlet tubular structure.

4. The fluid manifold of claim 1 , further comprising at least one of:

a water quality sensor for measuring water quality in the first inlet tubular structure; or

a temperature sensor for measuring fluid temperature in the first inlet tubular structure.

5. The fluid manifold of claim 1 , further comprising:

a shutoff valve for controlling fluid flow into the first inlet tubular structure.

6. The fluid manifold of claim 1 , further comprising:

for each first output tubular structure of the plurality of first output tubular structures, a respective pair of ultrasonic transducers.

7. The fluid manifold of claim 6 , further comprising:

for each first output tubular structure of the plurality of first output tubular structures, a respective transducer block for mounting the respective pair of ultrasonic transducers to the first output tubular structure in a non-invasive way.

8. The fluid manifold of claim 7 , wherein each first output tubular structure of the plurality of first output tubular structures includes a respective pair of snap elements arranged to hold the respective transducer block mounted onto the first output tubular structure.

9. The fluid manifold of claim 7 , wherein each first transducer block includes a respective panel structure and two respective end components arranged transverse to the respective panel structure for hosting the respective pair of ultrasonic transducers.

10. The fluid manifold of claim 1 , further comprising:

for each first output tubular structure, a respective shutoff valve for controlling fluid flow through the first output tubular structure.

11. The fluid manifold of claim 1 , wherein for each first output tubular structure, the respective shutoff valve is integrated in the first output tubular structure.

12. The fluid manifold of claim 1 , wherein each first output tubular structure of the plurality of first output tubular structures has a respective male thread at a respective first end of the first output tubular structure.

13. The fluid manifold of claim 1 , further comprising a circuitry communicatively coupled to ultrasonic transducers of the fluid manifold.

14. The fluid manifold of claim 13 , wherein the circuitry includes a processor configured to identify devices driving fluid flow events based on measurement signals from the ultrasonic transducers.

15. The fluid manifold of claim 14 , wherein the processor is further configured to control one or more shutoff valves of the fluid manifold.

16. The fluid manifold of claim 1 , further comprising a housing.

17. The fluid manifold of claim 1 , wherein the first inlet tubular structure includes a plurality of tubular segments, each of the plurality of first output tubular structures extending from a respective first tubular segment.

18. The fluid manifold of claim 17 , comprising:

one or more rods for holding the plurality of first tubular segments together to form the first inlet tubular structure.
