Abstract

A terminal apparatus for communicating with one or more base station apparatuses, the terminal apparatus including: a receiver configured to receive an RRC reconfiguration message including a DRB configuration from the one or more base station apparatuses, the DRB configuration including a DRB identity and an EPS bearer identity; and a processing unit configured to associate a DRB established with the EPS identity in a case that the DRB identity is not part of a current configuration of the terminal apparatus, and the DRB was configured for the EPS bearer identity.

Claims (37)

1. A terminal apparatus for communicating with one or more base station apparatuses, the terminal apparatus comprising:

a receiver configured to:

receive a first radio resource control (RRC) connection reconfiguration message including a first data radio bearer (DRB) configuration and a first packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) configuration from the one or more base station apparatuses, the first DRB configuration including a DRB identity and an evolved packet system (EPS) bearer identity; and

receive a second RRC connection reconfiguration message including a second DRB configuration and a second PDCP configuration from the one or more base station apparatuses after receiving the first RRC connection reconfiguration message, the second DRB configuration including the DRB identity and the EPS bearer identity; and

processing circuitry configured to:

in response to the reception of the first RRC connection reconfiguration message, establish a DRB with the DRB identity, the DRB configured with the EPS bearer identity according to the first DRB configuration and with a New Radio (NR) PDCP according to the first PDCP configuration;

in response to the reception of the second RRC connection reconfiguration message, establish the DRB according to the second DRB configuration;

determine whether the DRB identity is part of a current configuration of the terminal apparatus when establishing the DRB according to the second DRB configuration in response to the reception of the second RRC connection reconfiguration message, and whether the second PDCP configuration indicates an Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access (E-UTRA) PDCP; and

in a case that the DRB identity is not part of the current configuration of the terminal apparatus when establishing the DRB according to the second DRB configuration in response to the reception of the second RRC connection reconfiguration message and the second PDCP configuration indicates the E-UTRA PDCP,

associate the DRB established according to the second DRB configuration in response to the reception of the second RRC connection reconfiguration message with the EPS bearer identity.

2. A communication method for a terminal apparatus for communicating with one or more base station apparatuses, the communication method comprising:

receiving a first radio resource control (RRC) connection reconfiguration message including a first data radio bearer (DRB) configuration and a first packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) configuration from the one or more base station apparatuses, the first DRB configuration including a DRB identity and an evolved packet system (EPS) bearer identity;

in response to the reception of the first RRC connection reconfiguration message, establishing a DRB with the DRB identity, the DRB configured with the EPS bearer identity according to the first DRB configuration and with a New Radio (NR) PDCP according to the first PDCP configuration;

receiving a second RRC connection reconfiguration message including a second DRB configuration and a second PDCP configuration from the one or more base station apparatuses after receiving the first RRC connection reconfiguration message, the second DRB configuration including the DRB identity and the EPS bearer identity;

in response to the reception of the second RRC connection reconfiguration message, establishing the DRB according to the second DRB configuration;

determining whether the DRB identity is part of a current configuration of the terminal apparatus when establishing the DRB according to the second DRB configuration in response to the reception of the second RRC connection reconfiguration message, and whether the second PDCP configuration indicates an Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access (E-UTRA) PDCP; and

in a case that the DRB identity is not part of the current configuration of the terminal apparatus when establishing the DRB according to the second DRB configuration in response to the reception of the second RRC connection reconfiguration message and the second PDCP configuration indicates the E-UTRA PDCP,

associating the DRB established according to the second DRB configuration in response to the reception of the second RRC connection reconfiguration message with the EPS bearer identity.

3. A base station apparatus for communicating with a terminal apparatus, the base station apparatus comprising:

a transmitter configured to:

transmit a first radio resource control (RRC) connection reconfiguration message including a first data radio bearer (DRB) configuration and a first packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) configuration to the terminal apparatus, the first DRB configuration including a DRB identity and an evolved packet system (EPS) bearer identity; and

transmit a second RRC connection reconfiguration message including a second DRB configuration and a second PDCP configuration to the terminal apparatus after transmitting the first RRC connection reconfiguration message, the second DRB configuration including the DRB identity and the EPS bearer identity, wherein

processing circuitry of the terminal apparatus is configured to:

in response to a reception of the first RRC connection reconfiguration message by the terminal apparatus, establish a DRB with the DRB identity, the DRB configured with the EPS bearer identity according to the first DRB configuration and with a New Radio (NR) PDCP according to the first PDCP configuration;

in response to a reception of the second RRC connection reconfiguration message by the terminal apparatus, establish the DRB according to the second DRB configuration;

determine whether the DRB identity is part of a current configuration of the terminal apparatus when establishing the DRB according to the second DRB configuration in response to the reception of the second RRC connection reconfiguration message, and whether the second PDCP configuration indicates an Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access (E-UTRA) PDCP; and

in a case that the DRB identity is not part of the current configuration of the terminal apparatus when establishing the DRB according to the second DRB configuration in response to the reception of the second RRC connection reconfiguration message and the second PDCP configuration indicates the E-UTRA PDCP,

associate the DRB established according to the second DRB configuration in response to the reception of the second RRC connection reconfiguration message with the EPS bearer identity.

4. A communication method for a base station apparatus for communicating with a terminal apparatus, the communication method comprising:

transmitting a first radio resource control (RRC) connection reconfiguration message including a first data radio bearer (DRB) configuration and a first packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) configuration to the terminal apparatus, the first DRB configuration including a DRB identity and an evolved packet system (EPS) bearer identity; and

transmitting a second RRC connection reconfiguration message including a second DRB configuration and a second PDCP configuration after transmitting the first RRC connection reconfiguration message, the second DRB configuration including the DRB identity and the EPS bearer identity, wherein:

the terminal apparatus is configured to:

in response to a reception of the first RRC connection reconfiguration message by the terminal apparatus, establish a DRB with the DRB identity, the DRB configured with the EPS bearer identity according to the first DRB configuration and with a New Radio (NR) PDCP according to the first PDCP configuration;

in response to a reception of the second RRC connection reconfiguration message by the terminal apparatus, establish the DRB according to the second DRB configuration;

determine whether the DRB identity is part of a current configuration of the terminal apparatus when establishing the DRB according to the second DRB configuration in response to the reception of the second RRC connection reconfiguration message, and whether the second PDCP configuration indicates an Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access (E-UTRA) PDCP; and

in a case that the DRB identity is not part of the current configuration of the terminal apparatus when establishing the DRB according to the second DRB configuration in response to the reception of the second RRC connection reconfiguration message and the second PDCP configuration indicates the E-UTRA PDCP,

associate the DRB established according to the second DRB configuration in response to the reception of the second RRC connection reconfiguration message with the EPS bearer identity.
