Abstract

A wireless device receives one or more messages indicating transmission resource pools of a sidelink. The transmission resource pools comprise: a first transmission resource pool for a zone in which the wireless device is located and a second transmission resource pool. The wireless device is allowed to use the second transmission resource pool based on one or more thresholds associated with sidelink transport blocks. A determination is made that a transport block meets the one or more thresholds. A selection is made, based on the determination, of one or more sidelink resources from the first transmission resource pool and the second transmission resource pool. The transport block is transmitted via the one or more sidelink resources.

Claims (65)

1. A method comprising:

receiving, by a wireless device, one or more messages indicating transmission resource pools of a sidelink, wherein the transmission resource pools comprise:

a first transmission resource pool for a zone in which the wireless device is located; and

a second transmission resource pool of one or more second transmission resource pools, wherein the wireless device is allowed to use the second transmission resource pool based on one or more thresholds associated with sidelink transport blocks;

determining a transport block meeting the one or more thresholds;

based on the determining, selecting one or more sidelink resources from the first transmission resource pool and the second transmission resource pool; and

transmitting the transport block via the one or more sidelink resources.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the second transmission resource pool is for a second zone outside where the wireless device is located.

3. The method of claim 2 , wherein the wireless device is allowed to use the second transmission resource pool based on the one or more thresholds associated with sidelink transport blocks.

4. The method of claim 1 , further comprising selecting a first number of transmission resources for a transport block from the first transmission resource pool and a second number of transmission resources for the transport block from the second transmission resource pool.

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the transmission resource pools comprises at least a sidelink resource pool bitmap.

6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more second transmission resource pools comprise the first transmission resource pool.

7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more thresholds comprises at least one of a latency threshold, a priority threshold, a target coverage threshold, or a target reliability threshold.

8. The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more thresholds comprises at least one of:

an upper bound for a latency threshold;

a lower bound for the latency threshold;

a priority threshold;

a target coverage threshold; or

a target reliability threshold.

9. The method of claim 1 , wherein a configuration of the zone comprises at least one of:

a latitude boundary parameter of the zone;

a longitude boundary parameter of the zone;

an altitude boundary parameter of the zone;

a first number of zones in latitude direction;

a second number of zones in longitude direction; or

a third number of zones in altitude direction.

10. The method of claim 1 , wherein the transport block is transmitted via a physical sidelink shared channel.

11. A wireless device comprising:

one or more processors;

memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to

receive one or more messages indicating transmission resource pools of a sidelink, wherein the transmission resource pools comprise:

a first transmission resource pool for a zone in which the wireless device is located; and

a second transmission resource pool of one or more second transmission resource pools, wherein the wireless device is allowed to use the second transmission resource pool based on one or more thresholds associated with sidelink transport blocks;

determine a transport block meeting the one or more thresholds;

based on the determining, select one or more sidelink resources from the first transmission resource pool and the second transmission resource pool; and

transmit the transport block via the one or more sidelink resources.

12. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the second transmission resource pool is for a second zone outside where the wireless device is located.

13. The wireless device of claim 12 , wherein the wireless device is allowed to use the second transmission resource pool based on the one or more thresholds associated with sidelink transport blocks.

14. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the wireless device to select a first number of transmission resources for a transport block from the first transmission resource pool and a second number of transmission resources for the transport block from the second transmission resource pool.

15. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the transmission resource pools comprises at least a sidelink resource pool bitmap.

16. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the one or more second transmission resource pools comprises the first transmission resource pool.

17. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the one or more thresholds comprises at least one of a latency threshold, a priority threshold, a target coverage threshold, or a target reliability threshold.

18. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the one or more thresholds comprises at least upper or lower bound for a latency threshold, a priority threshold, a target coverage threshold, or a target reliability threshold.

19. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein a configuration of the zone comprises at least one of

a latitude boundary parameter of the zone;

a longitude boundary parameter of the zone;

an altitude boundary parameter of the zone;

a first number of zones in latitude direction;

a second number of zones in longitude direction; or

a third number of zones in altitude direction.

20. A system comprising:

a base station comprising:

one or more first processors; and

first memory storing first instructions that, when executed by the one or more first processors, cause a base station to transmit, one or more messages indicating transmission resource pools of a sidelink, wherein the transmission resource pools comprise:

a first transmission resource pool for a zone in which a wireless device is located; and

a second transmission resource pool, wherein the wireless device is allowed to use the second transmission resource pool based on one or more thresholds associated with sidelink transport blocks; and

the wireless device comprising:

one or more first processors; and

first memory storing first instructions that, when executed by the one or more first processors, cause the wireless device to:

receive one or more messages indicating transmission resource pools of a sidelink, wherein the transmission resource pools comprise:

a first transmission resource pool for a zone in which the wireless device is located; and

a second transmission resource pool, wherein the wireless device is allowed to use the second transmission resource pool based on one or more thresholds associated with sidelink transport blocks;

determine a transport block meeting the one or more thresholds;

based on the determining, select one or more sidelink resources from the first transmission resource pool and the second transmission resource pool; and

transmit the transport block via the one or more sidelink resources.
