Abstract

Embodiments provide a computer-executed method, a computer system and computer-program product for facilitating a transaction. The method includes transmitting computer-executable instructions to cause a representation of an item to be displayed on a consumer interface rendered on a visual display of a computing device. The method also includes receiving, from the computing device, an indication of a compound consumer input associated with a consumer and performed using the consumer interface. The method further includes, based on a determination that the compound consumer input corresponds to a purchase command, retrieving information previously stored for the consumer, generating an order to purchase the item for the consumer, and transmitting an order confirmation configured to be displayed by the computing device.

Claims (48)

1. A system comprising at least a processor, and a memory associated with the processor having computer coded instructions therein, with the computer coded instructions configured to, when executed by the processor, cause the system to:

receive service account data for accessing a promotion and marketing service account on behalf of a first consumer;

receive third party application account data for accessing one or more third party application accounts on behalf of the first consumer;

connect with the promotion and marketing service account via a network and access the promotion and marketing service account on behalf of the first consumer;

connect with the one or more third party application accounts via the network and access the one or more third party application accounts on behalf of the first consumer, such that the system has a concurrent connection with the promotion and marketing service account and the one or more third party application accounts, wherein the promotion and marketing service account is configured to access data associated with the first consumer from the one or more third party application accounts;

cause a representation of an item to be displayed on a visual display of a computing device in association with a provider system;

receive an indication of a compound consumer input performed by the first consumer on the visual display of the computing device, wherein the compound consumer input is associated with the item;

determine the compound consumer input corresponds to a message command associated with one or more third party applications corresponding to the one or more third party application accounts based on one or more properties of the compound consumer input;

cause a message to be transmitted to the one or more third party applications, wherein the message is associated with the item; and

monitor, by the promotion and marketing service account, the one or more third party applications for interaction with the message.

2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the visual display is a touch screen visual display and wherein at least a portion of the compound consumer input is a continuous touch interaction using the touch screen visual display, the continuous touch interaction corresponding to a continuous path from a first point to at least a second point.

3. The system of claim 2 , wherein the compound consumer input includes one or more of: a checkmark selection, a touchscreen press action, a mouse click action, a touchscreen tap action, a touchscreen press and hold action, a touchscreen drag and drop action, a touchscreen pinch action, a touchscreen unpinch action, a touchscreen swipe action, a device shake action, a device twist action, a movement of the computing device, a change in orientation of the computing device, a touchscreen writing action, a touchscreen drawing or writing motion, a touchscreen selection of one or more alphanumeric characters, a keyboard action, a mouse action, a static or moving gesture captured by a camera, or a speaking of a sound.

4. The system of claim 1 , wherein a first compound consumer input is associated with a first third party application and a second compound consumer input is associated with a second third party application such that receipt of an indication of the first compound consumer input causes the message to be transmitted to the first third party application and receipt of an indication of the second compound consumer input causes the message to be transmitted to the second third party application.

5. The system of claim 1 , the computer coded instructions further configured to, when executed by the processor, cause the system to:

detect interaction with the message by a second consumer via at least one of the one or more third party applications; and

based on the detection of the second consumer interacting with the message, automatically perform one or more actions on behalf of the second consumer.

6. The system of claim 5 , wherein at least one of the actions on behalf of the second consumer is associated with the item.

7. The system of claim 6 , the computer coded instructions further configured to, when executed by the processor, cause the system to:

associate the detected interaction with the message by the second consumer with a purchase command; and

cause transmission of instructions configured to execute the purchase command with respect to the item based on the detected interaction.

8. The system of claim 5 , wherein at least one of the actions comprises automatically initiating creation of an account for the second consumer with the provider system.

9. The system of claim 1 , wherein at least one of the one or more properties comprises a position on the visual display associated with the representation of the item.

10. The system of claim 1 , wherein at least one of the one or more third party applications is a social networking application.

11. The system of claim 1 , wherein interaction with the message comprises one or more consumers endorsing the message or resending the message.

12. A computer-executable method comprising:

receiving service account data for accessing a promotion and marketing service account on behalf of a first consumer;

receiving third party application account data for accessing one or more third party application accounts on behalf of the first consumer;

connecting with the promotion and marketing service account via a network and access the promotion and marketing service account on behalf of the first consumer;

connecting with the one or more third party application accounts via the network and access the one or more third party application accounts on behalf of the first consumer, such that a concurrent connection with the promotion and marketing service account and the one or more third party application accounts is established, wherein the promotion and marketing service account is configured to access data associated with the first consumer from the one or more third party application accounts;

causing a representation of an item to be displayed on a visual display of a computing device in association with a provider system;

receiving an indication of a compound consumer input performed by the first consumer on the visual display of the computing device, wherein the compound consumer input is associated with the item;

determining the compound consumer input corresponds to a message command associated with one or more third party applications corresponding to the one or more third party application accounts based on one or more properties of the compound consumer input;

causing a message to be transmitted to the one or more third party applications, wherein the message is associated with the item; and

monitoring, by the promotion and marketing service account, the one or more third party applications for interaction with the message.

13. The computer-executable method of claim 12 , wherein the visual display is a touch screen visual display and wherein at least a portion of the compound consumer input is a continuous touch interaction using the touch screen visual display, the continuous touch interaction corresponding to a continuous path from a first point to at least a second point.

14. The computer-executable method of claim 13 , wherein the compound consumer input includes one or more of: a checkmark selection, a touchscreen press action, a mouse click action, a touchscreen tap action, a touchscreen press and hold action, a touchscreen drag and drop action, a touchscreen pinch action, a touchscreen unpinch action, a touchscreen swipe action, a device shake action, a device twist action, a movement of the computing device, a change in orientation of the computing device, a touchscreen writing action, a touchscreen drawing or writing motion, a touchscreen selection of one or more alphanumeric characters, a keyboard action, a mouse action, a static or moving gesture captured by a camera, or a speaking of a sound.

15. The computer-executable method of claim 12 , wherein a first compound consumer input is associated with a first third party application and a second compound consumer input is associated with a second third party application such that receiving an indication of the first compound consumer input causes the message to be transmitted to the first third party application and receiving an indication of the second compound consumer input causes the message to be transmitted to the second third party application.

16. The computer-executable method of claim 12 , further comprising:

detecting interaction with the message by a second consumer via at least one of the one or more third party applications; and

based on the detection of the second consumer interacting with the message, automatically performing one or more actions on behalf of the second consumer.

17. The computer-executable method of claim 16 , wherein at least one of the actions on behalf of the second consumer is associated with the item.

18. The computer-executable method of claim 17 , further comprising:

associating the detected interaction with the message by the second consumer with a purchase command; and

causing transmission of instructions configured to execute the purchase command with respect to the item based on the detected interaction.

19. The computer-executable method of claim 16 , wherein at least one of the actions comprises automatically initiating creation of an account for the second consumer with the provider system.

20. The computer-executable method of claim 12 , wherein at least one of the one or more properties comprises a position on the visual display associated with the representation of the item.
