Abstract

Methods and apparatuses for performing a blood glucose monitoring process are described. For example, an apparatus may include at least one memory and logic coupled to the at least one memory. The logic may operate to determine patient monitoring information associated with a diabetic treatment of a patient, generate at least one monitoring information structure based on the patient monitoring information, generate at least one monitoring information image based on at least a portion of the at least one monitoring information structure, and process the at least one monitoring information image using a computational model to determine a blood glucose condition of the patient. Other embodiments are described.

Claims (30)

1 . An apparatus, comprising:

at least one memory; and

logic coupled to the at least one memory, the logic to:

determine patient monitoring information associated with a diabetic treatment of a patient,

generate at least one monitoring information structure based on the patient monitoring information,

generate at least one monitoring information image based on at least a portion of the at least one monitoring information structure, and

process the at least one monitoring information image using a computational model to determine a blood glucose condition of the patient.

2 . The apparatus of claim 1 , the monitoring information comprising at least one of a blood glucose level information, insulin dosage information, or insulin-on-board (JOB) information.

3 . The apparatus of claim 1 , the at least one monitoring information structure comprising at least one graph of the monitoring information.

4 . The apparatus of claim 1 , the at least one monitoring information image comprising at least one digital image of the at least one monitoring information structure at a region of interest.

5 . The apparatus of claim 1 , the computational model comprising a convoluted neural network (CNN).

6 . The apparatus of claim 1 , the blood glucose condition comprising one of a hypoglycemic episode, a hyperglycemic episode, a low blood sugar episode, a high blood sugar episode, or a normal blood sugar episode.

7 . The apparatus of claim 1 , the blood glucose condition comprising a prediction of a future blood glucose level.

8 . The apparatus of claim 7 , the prediction comprising a level of confidence in the prediction.

9 . The apparatus of claim 1 , the logic to administer insulin based on the blood glucose condition.

10 . The apparatus of claim 1 , the logic to provide a message on a display indicating the blood glucose condition.

11 . A computer-implemented method, comprising, via a processor of a computing device:

determining patient monitoring information associated with a diabetic treatment of a patient;

generating at least one monitoring information structure based on the patient monitoring information;

generating at least one monitoring information image based on at least a portion of the at least one monitoring information structure; and

processing the at least one monitoring information image using a computational model to determine a blood glucose condition of the patient.

12 . The method of claim 11 , the monitoring information comprising at least one of a blood glucose level information, insulin dosage information, or insulin-on-board (JOB) information.

13 . The method of claim 11 , the at least one monitoring information structure comprising at least one graph of the monitoring information.

14 . The method of claim 11 , the at least one monitoring information image comprising at least one digital image of the at least one monitoring information structure at a region of interest.

15 . The method of claim 11 , the computational model comprising a convoluted neural network (CNN).

16 . The method of claim 11 , the blood glucose condition comprising one of a hypoglycemic episode, a hyperglycemic episode, a low blood sugar episode, a high blood sugar episode, or a normal blood sugar episode.

17 . The method of claim 11 , the blood glucose condition comprising a prediction of a future blood glucose level.

18 . The method of claim 17 , the prediction comprising a level of confidence in the prediction.

19 . The method of claim 11 , comprising administering insulin based on the blood glucose condition.

20 . The method of claim 11 , comprising providing a message on a display indicating the blood glucose condition.
