Abstract

An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) comprises a controller. The controller of the UAV causes the UAV to access an interior of an object. The controller of the UAV causes the UAV to clean at least part of the interior of the object.

Claims (24)

1 . A method of controlling an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) comprising a controller, the method comprising:

causing, by the controller of the UAV, the UAV to access an interior of an object; and

causing, by the controller of the UAV, the UAV to clean at least part of the interior of the object.

2 . The method of claim 1 , comprising:

receiving one or more visual representations of the object; and

recognising the object based on the one or more visual representations.

3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the one or more visual representations comprise one or more computer-generated representations of the object.

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein said cleaning is based on a shape of the object.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the UAV comprises a liquid container.

6 . The method of claim 5 , wherein the liquid container is removable from the UAV.

7 . The method of claim 5 , comprising causing, by the controller of the UAV, a liquid dispenser of the UAV to dispense liquid from the liquid container.

8 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the liquid dispenser comprises a nozzle.

9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the method is performed in an indoor environment.

10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the object comprises a vehicle.

11 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the vehicle comprises an aircraft or a train.

12 . The method of claim 1 , comprising providing status update report data relating to said cleaning.

13 . The method of claim 1 , wherein said cleaning is based on a schedule set up for said cleaning.

14 . The method of claim 1 , wherein said cleaning is in response to the UAV being summoned to clean the object.

15 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the UAV monitors a dirtiness level of the object.

16 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the UAV cleans the object in response to determining that the dirtiness level exceeds a threshold dirtiness level.

17 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the UAV comprises a vacuum cleaner, an air blower, and/or a window-cleaning implement.

18 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the UAV comprises a camera and wherein the method comprises capturing, by the camera of the UAV, image data corresponding to a field of vision of the camera.

19 . The method of claim 18 , wherein the image data is captured before the UAV has started said cleaning, while the UAV is performing said cleaning, and/or after the UAV has completed said cleaning.

20 . An unmanned aerial vehicle, UAV, comprising a controller, the controller being configured to perform the method of claim 1 .
