Abstract

The present disclosure generally relates to user interfaces for displaying a status indicator (e.g., status indicator indicating that media is and/or has been captured).

Claims (115)

1. A computer system, comprising:

a first media-capturing device, wherein the computer system is in communication with a display generation component and one or more input devices;

one or more processors; and

memory storing one or more programs configured to be executed by the one or more processors, the one or more programs including instructions for:

receiving an indication that the first media-capturing device has been activated; and

in response to receiving the indication that the first media-capturing device has been activated:

in accordance with a determination that, while activated, the first media-capturing device recorded data of a first type, displaying, via the display generation component, a graphical indicator that indicates activation of the first media-capturing device; and

in accordance with a determination that, while activated, the first media-capturing device recorded data of a second type without recording data of the first type, forgoing display of the graphical indicator that indicates activation of the first media-capturing device.

2. The computer system of claim 1 , wherein the recorded data of the second type corresponds to data that is not available for playback.

3. The computer system of claim 1 , wherein the recorded data of the first type corresponds to data that is available for playback.

4. The computer system of claim 1 , wherein the graphical indicator is displayed irrespective of whether a status bar is displayed.

5. The computer system of claim 1 , wherein the graphical indicator is displayed at a position that is adjacent to at least one media-capturing device.

6. The computer system of claim 1 , wherein the graphical indicator:

in accordance with a determination that a status bar is not currently displayed, is displayed at a first position; and

in accordance with a determination that the status bar is not currently displayed, is displayed at a second position that is different from the first position.

7. The computer system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more programs further include instructions for:

while displaying the graphical indicator, receiving a first input; and

in response to receiving the first input, displaying a user interface that includes a second graphical indicator that indicates activation of the first media-capturing device.

8. The computer system of claim 7 , wherein the second graphical indicator includes displayed content that is different from displayed content of the graphical indicator.

9. The computer system of claim 1 , wherein the first media-capturing device is a first type of media-capturing device, and wherein displayed content of the graphical indicator includes an indication of the first type of media-capturing device.

10. The computer system of claim 1 , wherein displayed content of the graphical indicator includes an indication of an application that is currently recording data via the first media-capturing device.

11. The computer system of claim 1 , wherein displayed content of the graphical indicator includes an indication of an application that has previously recorded data via the first media-capturing device.

12. The computer system of claim 1 , wherein:

the first media-capturing device is a second type of media-capturing device; and

the one or more programs further including instructions for:

displaying, concurrently with the graphical indicator, a third graphical indicator that is different from the graphical indicator, wherein the graphical indicator includes an indication of the second type of media-capturing device; and the third graphical indicator includes an indication of a third type of media-capturing device that is different from the second type of media-capturing device.

13. The computer system of claim 1 , wherein the graphical indicator:

in accordance with a determination that the graphical indicator corresponds to an application of a first application type, is selectable; and

in accordance with a determination that the graphical indicator does not correspond to an application of the first application type, is not selectable.

14. The computer system of claim 13 , wherein the one or more programs further include instructions for:

while displaying the graphical indication that is selectable, receiving a user input corresponding to selection of the graphical indication; and

in response to receiving the user input corresponding to the selection of the graphical indication, displaying a third user interface for managing one or more permissions of the application of the first application type.

15. The computer system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more programs further include instructions for:

receiving a third user input; and

in response to receiving the third user input, displaying a user interface that:

in accordance with a determination that the third user input was received while the first media-capturing device continues to be activated or within a predetermined of time after the first media-capturing device has been active, includes display of the graphical indication that indicates activation of the first media-capturing device; and

in accordance with a determination that the third user input was not received while the first media-capturing device continues to be activated or within a predetermined of time after the first media-capturing device has been active, does not include display of the graphical indicator that indicates activation of the first media-capturing device.

16. The computer system of claim 1 , wherein the graphical indicator is displayed for at least a minimum period of time.

17. The computer system of claim 1 , wherein the graphical indicator is displayed for a length of time that is based on a length of time for which the first media-capturing device has been active.

18. The computer system of claim 1 , wherein a display location of the graphical indicator does not change, regardless of applications or functions that are running or are displayed.

19. A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing one or more programs configured to be executed by one or more processors of a computer system having a first media-capturing device, wherein the computer system is in communication with a display generation component and one or more input devices, the one or more programs including instructions for:

receiving an indication that the first media-capturing device has been activated; and

in response to receiving the indication that the first media-capturing device has been activated:

in accordance with a determination that, while activated, the first media-capturing device recorded data of a first type, displaying, via the display generation component, a graphical indicator that indicates activation of the first media-capturing device; and

in accordance with a determination that, while activated, the first media-capturing device recorded data of a second type without recording data of the first type, forgoing display of the graphical indicator that indicates activation of the first media-capturing device.

20. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 19 , wherein the recorded data of the second type corresponds to data that is not available for playback.

21. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 19 , wherein the recorded data of the first type corresponds to data that is available for playback.

22. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 19 , wherein the graphical indicator is displayed irrespective of whether a status bar is displayed.

23. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 19 , wherein the graphical indicator is displayed at a position that is adjacent to at least one media-capturing device.

24. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 19 , wherein the graphical indicator:

in accordance with a determination that a status bar is not currently displayed, is displayed at a first position; and

in accordance with a determination that the status bar is not currently displayed, is displayed at a second position that is different from the first position.

25. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 19 , wherein the one or more programs further include instructions for:

while displaying the graphical indicator, receiving a first input; and

in response to receiving the first input, displaying a user interface that includes a second graphical indicator that indicates activation of the first media-capturing device.

26. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 25 , wherein the second graphical indicator includes displayed content that is different from displayed content of the graphical indicator.

27. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 19 , wherein the first media-capturing device is a first type of media-capturing device, and wherein displayed content of the graphical indicator includes an indication of the first type of media-capturing device.

28. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 19 , wherein displayed content of the graphical indicator includes an indication of an application that is currently recording data via the first media-capturing device.

29. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 19 , wherein displayed content of the graphical indicator includes an indication of an application that has previously recorded data via the first media-capturing device.

30. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 19 , wherein:

the first media-capturing device is a second type of media-capturing device; and

the one or more programs further including instructions for:

displaying, concurrently with the graphical indicator, a third graphical indicator that is different from the graphical indicator, wherein the graphical indicator includes an indication of the second type of media-capturing device; and the third graphical indicator includes an indication of a third type of media-capturing device that is different from the second type of media-capturing device.

31. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 19 , wherein the graphical indicator:

in accordance with a determination that the graphical indicator corresponds to an application of a first application type, is selectable; and

in accordance with a determination that the graphical indicator does not correspond to an application of the first application type, is not selectable.

32. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 31 , wherein the one or more programs further include instructions for:

while displaying the graphical indication that is selectable, receiving a user input corresponding to selection of the graphical indication; and

in response to receiving the user input corresponding to the selection of the graphical indication, displaying a third user interface for managing one or more permissions of the application of the first application type.

33. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 19 , wherein the one or more programs further include instructions for:

receiving a third user input; and

in response to receiving the third user input, displaying a user interface that:

in accordance with a determination that the third user input was received while the first media-capturing device continues to be activated or within a predetermined of time after the first media-capturing device has been active, includes display of the graphical indication that indicates activation of the first media-capturing device; and

in accordance with a determination that the third user input was not received while the first media-capturing device continues to be activated or within a predetermined of time after the first media-capturing device has been active, does not include display of the graphical indicator that indicates activation of the first media-capturing device.

34. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 19 , wherein the graphical indicator is displayed for at least a minimum period of time.

35. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 19 , wherein the graphical indicator is displayed for a length of time that is based on a length of time for which the first media-capturing device has been active.

36. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 19 , wherein a display location of the graphical indicator does not change, regardless of applications or functions that are running or are displayed.

37. A method, comprising:

at a computer system having a first media-capturing device, wherein the computer system is in communication with a display generation component and one or more input devices:

receiving an indication that the first media-capturing device has been activated; and

in response to receiving the indication that the first media-capturing device has been activated:

in accordance with a determination that, while activated, the first media-capturing device recorded data of a first type, displaying, via the display generation component, a graphical indicator that indicates activation of the first media-capturing device; and

in accordance with a determination that, while activated, the first media-capturing device recorded data of a second type without recording data of the first type, forgoing display of the graphical indicator that indicates activation of the first media-capturing device.

38. The method of claim 37 , wherein the recorded data of the second type corresponds to data that is not available for playback.

39. The method of claim 37 , wherein the recorded data of the first type corresponds to data that is available for playback.

40. The method of claim 37 , wherein the graphical indicator is displayed irrespective of whether a status bar is displayed.

41. The method of claim 37 , wherein the graphical indicator is displayed at a position that is adjacent to at least one media-capturing device.

42. The method of claim 37 , wherein the graphical indicator:

in accordance with a determination that a status bar is not currently displayed, is displayed at a first position; and

in accordance with a determination that the status bar is not currently displayed, is displayed at a second position that is different from the first position.

43. The method of claim 37 , further comprising:

while displaying the graphical indicator, receiving a first input; and

in response to receiving the first input, displaying a user interface that includes a second graphical indicator that indicates activation of the first media-capturing device.

44. The method of claim 43 , wherein the second graphical indicator includes displayed content that is different from displayed content of the graphical indicator.

45. The method of claim 37 , wherein the first media-capturing device is a first type of media-capturing device, and wherein displayed content of the graphical indicator includes an indication of the first type of media-capturing device.

46. The method of claim 37 , wherein displayed content of the graphical indicator includes an indication of an application that is currently recording data via the first media-capturing device.

47. The method of claim 37 , wherein displayed content of the graphical indicator includes an indication of an application that has previously recorded data via the first media-capturing device.

48. The method of claim 37 , wherein:

the first media-capturing device is a second type of media-capturing device; and

the method further comprising:

displaying, concurrently with the graphical indicator, a third graphical indicator that is different from the graphical indicator, wherein the graphical indicator includes an indication of the second type of media-capturing device; and the third graphical indicator includes an indication of a third type of media-capturing device that is different from the second type of media-capturing device.

49. The method of claim 37 , wherein the graphical indicator:

in accordance with a determination that the graphical indicator corresponds to an application of a first application type, is selectable; and

in accordance with a determination that the graphical indicator does not correspond to an application of the first application type, is not selectable.

50. The method of claim 49 , further comprising:

while displaying the graphical indication that is selectable, receiving a user input corresponding to selection of the graphical indication; and

in response to receiving the user input corresponding to the selection of the graphical indication, displaying a third user interface for managing one or more permissions of the application of the first application type.

51. The method of claim 37 , further comprising:

receiving a third user input; and

in response to receiving the third user input, displaying a user interface that:

in accordance with a determination that the third user input was received while the first media-capturing device continues to be activated or within a predetermined of time after the first media-capturing device has been active, includes display of the graphical indication that indicates activation of the first media-capturing device; and

in accordance with a determination that the third user input was not received while the first media-capturing device continues to be activated or within a predetermined of time after the first media-capturing device has been active, does not include display of the graphical indicator that indicates activation of the first media-capturing device.

52. The method of claim 37 , wherein the graphical indicator is displayed for at least a minimum period of time.

53. The method of claim 37 , wherein the graphical indicator is displayed for a length of time that is based on a length of time for which the first media-capturing device has been active.

54. The method of claim 37 , wherein a display location of the graphical indicator does not change, regardless of applications or functions that are running or are displayed.
