Cleaning device
Methods and apparatus for cleaning a surface with a cleaning device having a body with a handle, a connector, and one or more cleaning heads that are removably attached to the cleaning device. Each cleaning head include a lower surface arranged to contact a surface to be cleaned and a dirt collection chamber permanently attached to the cleaning head. The cleaning head may include a support structure to support the dirt collection chamber and a cleaning sheet. The cleaning head also may include a suction nozzle. At least a portion of the dirt collection chamber may be made of a filter material.
1. A cleaning head, comprising:
a cardboard housing defining an outermost suction inlet adjacent to a surface to be cleaned for allowing debris to flow into the cleaning head, and having a dirt collection chamber that is configured to receive debris that flows through the suction inlet, the cardboard housing being configured to couple to a cleaning device such that a vacuum source can apply a vacuum force to the chamber to draw debris through the suction inlet into the chamber; and
a cleaning sheet coupled to the cardboard housing and having a surface configured to contact a surface to be cleaned.
2. The cleaning head of claim 1 , wherein the cleaning sheet is permanently attached to the cardboard housing.
3. The cleaning head of claim 1 , wherein the cleaning sheet is removably attached to the cardboard housing.
4. The cleaning head of claim 1 , wherein the dirt collection chamber is formed at least partially by an air filter.
5. The cleaning head of claim 1 , wherein the suction inlet is formed in a front portion of the cardboard housing adjacent an edge of the cleaning sheet.
6. The cleaning head of claim 1 , further comprising a valve arranged to keep dust, dry media and/or wet media within the dirt collection chamber.
7. The cleaning head of claim 6 , wherein the valve is moveable between an open position and closed position.
8. The cleaning head of claim 1 , wherein the cleaning sheet is planar.
9. A cleaning head, comprising:
a cardboard dirt collection housing defining a dirt collection chamber and a suction inlet conduit; and
a cleaning sheet having an upper surface and a lower surface, the lower surface being arranged to contact a surface to be cleaned and the upper surface directly mounted on the cardboard dirt collection housing.
10. The cleaning head of claim 9 , wherein the cardboard dirt collection chamber is permanently attached to the cleaning sheet.
11. The cleaning head of claim 9 , wherein the cardboard dirt collection chamber is removably attached to the cleaning sheet.
12. The cleaning head of claim 9 , further comprising an air filter coupled to the dirt collection chamber and configured to allow a suction force to be applied to the dirt collection chamber while retaining debris therein.
13. The cleaning head of claim 9 , wherein the exterior opening is formed in a front portion of the cardboard dirt collection chamber adjacent an edge of the cleaning sheet.
14. The cleaning head of claim 9 , further comprising a valve arranged to keep dust, dry media and/or wet media within the cardboard dirt collection chamber, the valve being moveable between an open position and closed position.
15. The cleaning head of claim 9 , wherein the cleaning sheet is planar.
