Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a method for determination of a real subsoil geological formation. In at least one embodiment, the method includes receiving a model representing the real subsoil. The model includes a shore line and a fluvial formation connected to the shore line at a point of the model. The shore line divides the model into a marine zone and a continental zone. The method further includes determining a delta zone in the model based on the shore line and based on the fluvial formation, determining a stochastic trajectory in said delta zone, and determining a lobe formation in said delta zone based on the determined stochastic trajectory based on a stochastic process.

Claims (24)

1. A method for determination of a real subsoil geological formation, comprising:

receiving a model representing the real subsoil geological formation, said model comprising a shore line and a fluvial formation connected to said shore line at a point of the model, said shore line dividing the model into a marine zone and a continental zone;

determining a delta zone in the model based on the shore line and based on the fluvial formation;

determining a stochastic trajectory in said delta zone, said stochastic trajectory comprising a plurality of points; and

determining a location of a lobe formation in said delta zone based on at least one point of the plurality of points of the determined stochastic trajectory, wherein the determined stochastic trajectory is based on a stochastic process.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the determined delta zone is parametrized by a delta angle and a delta length.

3. The method of claim 2 , wherein the delta angle and the delta length are determined based on a flow speed in the fluvial formation.

4. The method of claim 3 , wherein the delta angle and the delta length are determined based on a flow speed in the marine zone.

5. The method of claim 2 , wherein the delta angle and the delta length are determined based on a flow speed in the marine zone.

6. The method of claim 1 , further comprising determining a tidal bar formation along the stochastic trajectory.

7. A device for determination of a real subsoil geological formation, comprising:

an interface configured to receive a model representing the real subsoil geological formation, said model comprising a shore line and a fluvial formation connected to said shore line at a point of the model, said shore line dividing the model into a marine zone and a continental zone;

a circuit configured to determine a delta zone in the model based on the shore line and based on the fluvial formation;

a circuit configured to determine a stochastic trajectory in said delta zone, said stochastic trajectory comprising a plurality of points; and

a circuit configured to determine a location of a lobe formation in said delta zone based on at least one point of the plurality of points of the determined stochastic trajectory, wherein the determined stochastic trajectory is based on a stochastic process.

8. A non-transitory computer readable storage medium, having stored thereon a computer program comprising program instructions, the computer program being loadable into a data-processing device and adapted to cause the data-processing device to perform a method for determination of a real subsoil geological formation when the computer program is run by the data-processing device, the method comprising:

receiving a model representing the real subsoil geological formation, said model comprising a shore line and a fluvial formation connected to said shore line at a point of the model, said shore line dividing the model into a marine zone and a continental zone;

determining a delta zone in the model based on the shore line and based on the fluvial formation;

determining a stochastic trajectory in said delta zone, said stochastic trajectory comprising a plurality of points; and

determining a location of a lobe formation in said delta zone based on at least one point of the plurality of points of the determined stochastic trajectory, wherein the determined stochastic trajectory is based on a stochastic process.

9. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 8 , wherein the determined delta zone is parametrized by a delta angle and a delta length.

10. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 9 , wherein the delta angle and the delta length are determined based on a flow speed in the fluvial formation.

11. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 10 , wherein the delta angle and the delta length are determined based on a flow speed in the marine zone.

12. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 9 , wherein the delta angle and the delta length are determined based on a flow speed in the marine zone.
