Abstract

A compound of formula (9) is provided. wherein, B 1 and B 2 are a methyl group, Z 1 and Z 2 are a hydrogen atom, X 1 is an N-carbazolyl group, X 2 is a —NAr 21′ Ar 22′ group, Ar 21′ is a 2-phenylphenyl group, a 3-phenylphenyl group, or a 4-phenylphenyl group, and Ar 22′ is a 1-naphthyl group, a 2-naphthyl group, a 2-phenylphenyl group, a 3-phenylphenyl group, a 4-phenylphenyl group, a 2-fluorenyl group, a 9,9-dimethyl-2-fluorenyl group or a phenanthryl group. Also provided is an organic electroluminescent device comprising a compound of formula (9).

Claims (27)

1. A compound represented by the formula (9):

wherein,

B 1 and B 2 are a methyl group

Z 1 and Z 2 are a hydrogen atom,

X 1 is an N-carbazolyl group,

X 2 is a —NAr 21′ Ar 22′ group,

Ar 21′ is a 2-phenylphenyl group, a 3-phenylphenyl group, or a 4-phenylphenyl group,

Ar 22′ is a 2-phenylphenyl group, a 3-phenylphenyl group, a 4-phenylphenyl group or a 9,9-dimethyl-2-fluorenyl group.

2. The compound according to claim 1 , wherein

Ar 21′ is a 4-phenylphenyl group.

3. The compound according to claim 1 , wherein

Ar 22′ is a 2-phenylphenyl group, a 3-phenylphenyl group, a 4-phenylphenyl group, or a 9,9-dimethyl-2-fluorenyl group.

4. The compound according to claim 1 , wherein Ar 22′ is a 4-phenylphenyl group, or a 9,9-dimethyl-2-fluorenyl group.

5. The compound according to claim 2 , wherein

Ar 22′ is a 4-phenylphenyl group, or a 9,9-dimethyl-2-fluorenyl group.

6. The compound according to claim 1 , which is selected from the group consisting of:

7. An organic electroluminescent device comprising a compound represented by the formula (9):

wherein,

B 1 and B 2 are a methyl group,

Z 1 and Z 2 are a hydrogen atom,

X 1 is an N-carbazolyl group,

X 2 is a —NAr 21′ Ar 22′ group,

Ar 21′ is a 2-phenylphenyl group, a 3-phenylphenyl group, or a 4-phenylphenyl group,

Ar 22′ is a 2-phenylphenyl group, a 3-phenylphenyl group, a 4-phenylphenyl group or a 9,9-dimethyl-2-fluorenyl group.

8. The electroluminescent device according to claim 7 , comprising:

an anode, a cathode, an emitting layer which is interposed between the cathode and the anode, and two or more layers provided in a hole-injecting/hole-transporting region between the anode and the emitting layer; wherein

of the layers which are provided in the hole-injecting/hole-transporting region, a layer which is in contact with emitting layer comprising the compound represented by the formula (9).
