Abstract

An interactive demonstration application can be used to test and experience the use of overlay elements (e.g., application add-ons, such as an interactive chat overlay) on a graphical interface (e.g., of a website or a computer application) before fully integrating the overlay elements into the graphical interface. The interactive demonstration application can also be used to demonstrate and update the live settings of a live overlay element used on a live webpage.

Claims (58)

1. A computer-implemented method, comprising:

accessing one or more graphical interfaces of a live website;

accessing a demonstration overlay application configured to include a demonstration overlay element with the one or more graphical interfaces of the live website;

loading, using the demonstration overlay application, the demonstration overlay element on the one or more graphical interfaces of the live website, wherein the demonstration overlay element includes an interactive functionality;

receiving, via the demonstration overlay application, input corresponding to use of the interactive functionality of the demonstration overlay element;

transmitting the input via the demonstration overlay element;

receiving a response to the input;

displaying the response to the input within the demonstration overlay element; and

monitoring communications via the demonstration overlay element to determine communication metrics, wherein the communication metrics include one or more of a latency metric, an agent consistency metric, an agent expertise metric, and a terminal-device selection metric.

2. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising:

receiving an input corresponding to a uniform resource locator (URL) for the live website, wherein the one or more graphical interfaces of the live website are accessed using the URL.

3. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the interactive functionality of the demonstration overlay element comprises real-time chat functionality with monitoring of real-time chat data and dynamic automated rule-based actions based on the real-time chat data.

4. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising partially obscuring the one or more graphical interfaces of the live website during display of the demonstration overlay element on the one or more graphical interfaces of the live website.

5. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the demonstration overlay element includes a functionality and an appearance controlled by an editable overlay file.

6. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising:

facilitating a multi-device communication exchange using the demonstration overlay element;

monitoring the multi-device communication exchange to track metrics associated with the multi-device communication exchange; and

displaying the metrics using the demonstration overlay element.

7. A device comprising:

a memory; and

one or more processors coupled to the memory and configured to perform operations comprising:

accessing one or more graphical interfaces of a live website;

accessing a demonstration overlay application configured to include a demonstration overlay element with the one or more graphical interfaces of the live website;

loading, using the demonstration overlay application, the demonstration overlay element on the one or more graphical interfaces of the live website, wherein the demonstration overlay element includes an interactive functionality;

receiving, via the demonstration overlay application, input corresponding to use of the interactive functionality of the demonstration overlay element;

transmitting the input via the demonstration overlay element;

receiving a response to the input;

displaying the response to the input within the demonstration overlay element; and

monitoring communications via the demonstration overlay element to determine communication metrics, wherein the communication metrics include one or more of a latency metric, an agent consistency metric, an agent expertise metric, and a terminal-device selection metric.

8. The device of claim 7 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to perform operations comprising:

receiving an input corresponding to a uniform resource locator (URL) for the live website, wherein the one or more graphical interfaces of the live website are accessed using the URL.

9. The device of claim 7 , wherein the interactive functionality of the demonstration overlay element comprises real-time chat functionality with monitoring of real-time chat data and dynamic automated rule-based actions based on the real-time chat data.

10. The device of claim 7 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to perform operations comprising:

partially obscuring the one or more graphical interfaces of the live website during display of the demonstration overlay element on the one or more graphical interfaces of the live website.

11. The device of claim 7 , wherein the demonstration overlay element includes a functionality and an appearance controlled by an editable overlay file.

12. The device of claim 7 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to perform operations comprising:

facilitating a multi-device communication exchange using the demonstration overlay element;

monitoring the multi-device communication exchange to track metrics associated with the multi-device communication exchange; and

displaying the metrics using the demonstration overlay element.

13. A non-transitory computer readable medium comprising instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of device, cause the device to perform operations comprising:

accessing one or more graphical interfaces of a live website;

accessing a demonstration overlay application configured to include a demonstration overlay element with the one or more graphical interfaces of the live website;

loading, using the demonstration overlay application, the demonstration overlay element on the one or more graphical interfaces of the live website, wherein the demonstration overlay element includes an interactive functionality;

receiving, via the demonstration overlay application, input corresponding to use of the interactive functionality of the demonstration overlay element;

transmitting the input via the demonstration overlay element;

receiving a response to the input; and

displaying the response to the input within the demonstration overlay element; and

monitoring communications via the demonstration overlay element to determine communication metrics, wherein the communication metrics include one or more of a latency metric, an agent consistency metric, an agent expertise metric, and a terminal-device selection metric.

14. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 13 , wherein the instructions further cause the device to perform operations comprising:

receiving an input corresponding to a uniform resource locator (URL) for the live website, wherein the one or more graphical interfaces of the live website are accessed using the URL.

15. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 13 , wherein the interactive functionality of the demonstration overlay element comprises real-time chat functionality with monitoring of real-time chat data and dynamic automated rule-based actions based on the real-time chat data.

16. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 13 , wherein the instructions further cause the device to perform operations comprising:

partially obscuring the one or more graphical interfaces of the live website during display of the demonstration overlay element on the one or more graphical interfaces of the live website.

17. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 13 , wherein the demonstration overlay element includes a functionality and an appearance controlled by an editable overlay file.

18. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 13 , wherein the instructions further cause the device to perform operations comprising:

facilitating a multi-device communication exchange using the demonstration overlay element;

monitoring the multi-device communication exchange to track metrics associated with the multi-device communication exchange; and

displaying the metrics using the demonstration overlay element.
