Abstract

Techniques for detecting physical conditions at a physical premises from collection of sensor information from plural sensors execute one or more unsupervised learning models to continually analyze the collected sensor information to produce operational states of sensor information, produce sequences of state transitions, detect during the continual analysis of sensor data that one or more of the sequences of state transitions is a drift sequence, correlate determined drift state sequence to a stored determined condition at the premises, and generate an alert based on the determined condition. Various uses are described for these techniques.

Claims (33)

1 - 12 . (canceled)

13 . One or more non-transitory computer-readable storage media for predicting insurable events having instructions stored thereon that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:

retrieve, from devices monitoring a space, data associated with operation of the space;

iteratively execute a first unsupervised learning algorithm to generate, based on the data, states and state transitions representing the space, wherein the states include operational characteristics associated with the space;

iteratively execute a second algorithm to generate, based on the states and state transitions, a model of the space, wherein the model includes state sequences associated with a status of the space; and

in response to determining, based on the state sequences, a particular status of the space, transmit a notification.

14 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable storage media of claim 13 , wherein the data includes information associated with equipment in the space, and wherein the operational characteristics include a level of functionality associated with the equipment.

15 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable storage media of claim 13 , wherein the status is one of a safe status or an unsafe status, and wherein the notification includes an indication of the unsafe status.

16 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable storage media of claim 13 , wherein the notification includes an indication of an actual or predicted insurable event associated with the space.

17 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable storage media of claim 13 , wherein the model includes a state transition matrix including the states and state transitions and a triggering matrix including triggering characteristics associated with the state transitions.

18 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable storage media of claim 17 , wherein the triggering characteristics indicate whether the state transitions are event triggered or time triggered.

19 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable storage media of claim 13 , wherein transmitting the notification includes modifying guidelines associated with an insurance policy.

20 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable storage media of claim 13 , wherein at least one of the space or equipment in the space is covered by an insurance policy, and wherein transmitting the notification includes generating information associated with the insurance policy.

21 . A method for predicting insurable events, comprising:

retrieving, from devices monitoring a space, data associated with operation of the space;

iteratively executing a first unsupervised learning algorithm to generate, based on the data, states and state transitions representing the space, wherein the states include operational characteristics associated with the space;

iteratively executing a second algorithm to generate, based on the states and state transitions, a model of the space, wherein the model includes state sequences associated with a status of the space; and

in response to determining, based on the state sequences, a particular status of the space, transmitting a notification.

22 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the data includes information associated with equipment in the space, and wherein the operational characteristics include a level of functionality associated with the equipment.

23 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the status is one of a safe status or an unsafe status, and wherein the notification includes an indication of the unsafe status.

24 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the notification includes an indication of an actual or predicted insurable event associated with the space.

25 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the model includes a state transition matrix including the states and state transitions and a triggering matrix including triggering characteristics associated with the state transitions.

26 . The method of claim 25 , wherein the triggering characteristics indicate whether the state transitions are event triggered or time triggered.

27 . The method of claim 21 , wherein transmitting the notification includes modifying guidelines associated with an insurance policy.

28 . The method of claim 21 , wherein at least one of the space or equipment in the space is covered by an insurance policy, and wherein transmitting the notification includes generating information associated with the insurance policy.

29 . A system for predicting insurable events comprising a processing circuit including a processor and memory, the memory having instructions stored thereon that, when executed by the processor, cause the processing circuit to:

retrieve, from devices monitoring a space, data associated with operation of the space;

iteratively execute a first unsupervised learning algorithm to generate, based on the data, states and state transitions representing the space, wherein the states include operational characteristics associated with the space;

iteratively execute a second algorithm to generate, based on the states and state transitions, a model of the space, wherein the model includes state sequences associated with a status of the space; and

in response to determining, based on the state sequences, a particular status of the space, transmit a notification.

30 . The system of claim 29 , wherein transmitting the notification includes modifying guidelines associated with an insurance policy.

31 . The system of claim 29 , wherein at least one of the space or equipment in the space is covered by an insurance policy, and wherein transmitting the notification includes generating information associated with the insurance policy.

32 . The system of claim 29 , wherein the notification includes an indication of an actual or predicted insurable event associated with the space.
