Abstract

One example method of operation may include identifying a code access event associated with a code segment, determining whether one or more portions of the code segment require code access permissions, determining whether one or more credentials of a profile associated with the code access event have a required code access credential necessary to permit the code access event, and assigning limited access to the code segment and the profile based on the one or more credentials associated with the code access event.

Claims (43)

1 . A method comprising:

identifying a code access event associated with a code segment;

determining whether one or more portions of the code segment require code access permissions;

determining whether one or more credentials of a profile associated with the code access event have a required code access credential necessary to permit the code access event; and

assigning limited access to the code segment and the profile based on the one or more credentials associated with the code access event.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein when one or more portions of the code segment require code access permissions, assigning one or more of a limited view permission, a limited modification permission, and no access, to the one or more credentials and permitting the code access event.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the limited access is assigned to one or more blocks of code of the code segment, and wherein the limited access permits access to the one or more blocks of code but not all blocks of code of the code segment.

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the assigning the limited access to the code segment comprises permitting the code segment to be compiled and executed by a user device associated with the one or more credentials and the profile while not providing access to the code segment code.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more credentials comprises one or more of a token, a password, a device hardware address, a network address, and a confirmation of a previous access operation.

6 . The method of claim 1 , comprising

determining whether to block or permit the code access event based on profile access permissions associated with the profile; and

permitting the profile to access one or more code segments among a plurality of additional code segments.

7 . The method of claim 1 , comprising

creating a log of actions performed to the one or more code segments; and

applying the log as a new credential to the profile.

8 . An apparatus comprising:

a processor configured to

identify a code access event associated with a code segment;

determine whether one or more portions of the code segment require code access permissions;

determine whether one or more credentials of a profile associated with the code access event have a required code access credential necessary to permit the code access event; and

assign limited access to the code segment and the profile based on the one or more credentials associated with the code access event.

9 . The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein when one or more portions of the code segment require code access permissions, the processor assigns one or more of a limited view permission, a limited modification permission, and no access, to the one or more credentials and permits the code access event.

10 . The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the limited access is assigned to one or more blocks of code of the code segment, and wherein the limited access permits access to the one or more blocks of code but not all blocks of code of the code segment.

11 . The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the assignment of the limited access to the code segment comprises the code segment being permitted to be compiled and executed by a user device associated with the one or more credentials and the profile while no access being provided to the code segment code.

12 . The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the one or more credentials comprises one or more of a token, a password, a device hardware address, a network address, and a confirmation of a previous access operation.

13 . The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the processor is further configured to

determine whether to block or permit the code access event based on profile access permissions associated with the profile; and

permit the profile to access one or more code segments among a plurality of additional code segments.

14 . The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the processor is further configured to

create a log of actions performed to the one or more code segments; and

apply the log as a new credential to the profile.

15 . A non-transitory computer readable storage medium configured to store instructions that when executed cause a processor to perform:

identifying a code access event associated with a code segment;

determining whether one or more portions of the code segment require code access permissions;

determining whether one or more credentials of a profile associated with the code access event have a required code access credential necessary to permit the code access event; and

assigning limited access to the code segment and the profile based on the one or more credentials associated with the code access event.

16 . The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein when one or more portions of the code segment require code access permissions, assigning one or more of a limited view permission, a limited modification permission, and no access, to the one or more credentials and permitting the code access event.

17 . The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the limited access is assigned to one or more blocks of code of the code segment, and wherein the limited access permits access to the one or more blocks of code but not all blocks of code of the code segment.

18 . The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the assigning the limited access to the code segment comprises permitting the code segment to be compiled and executed by a user device associated with the one or more credentials and the profile while not providing access to the code segment code.

19 . The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the one or more credentials comprise one or more of a token, a password, a device hardware address, a network address, and a confirmation of a previous access operation.

20 . The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the processor is further configured to perform:

determining whether to block or permit the code access event based on profile access permissions associated with the profile; and

permitting the profile to access one or more code segments among a plurality of additional code segments.
