At least one light redirection feature protrudes from the inner surface. At least one indentation defined on the outer surface is configured to refract light.

Claims (12)

1. A lighting device, comprising:

a housing comprising a base, a plurality of fins extending between a central wall and an outer wall on a first surface of the base, and a cavity extending between an outer edge of the first surface and the outer wall; and

a light source mounted to the second surface of the base.

2. The lighting device of claim 1 , wherein the housing includes a plurality of cavities extending through the base between adjacent fins and a plurality of flow through channels formed by adjacent fins, the outer wall, and an adjacent cavity.

3. The lighting device of claim 1 , wherein at least one fin has a curved shape.

4. The lighting device of claim 1 , wherein the outer wall has a curved shape.

5. The lighting device of claim 1 wherein the first surface slopes to the outer edge such that a thickness of the base near the central wall is greater than a thickness of the base near the outer edge thereof.

6. The lighting device of claim 1 wherein one or more of the plurality of fins, the outer wall, the base, or a combination thereof are continuous or discontinuous.

7. The lighting device of claim 1 wherein the light source comprises one or more LED elements disposed in the housing.

8. The lighting device of claim 1 , wherein the light source is mounted to the sound surface by a bracket, an adhesive material, or both.

9. The lighting device of claim 8 , wherein the adhesive material comprises a UV curable silicone.

10. The lighting device of claim 1 , further comprising an ambient light sensor.
