Abstract

Oral care compositions and/or unit-dose oral care compositions with a fluoride ion source. Oral care compositions and/or unit-dose oral care compositions with a high average fluoride ion uptake. Oral care compositions with one or more web forming materials, a calcium ion source, and a fluoride ion source with a high average fluoride uptake.

Claims (30)

1 . A solid unit-dose oral care composition comprising:

(a) sodium monofluorophosphate;

(b) abrasive, the abrasive comprising calcium carbonate, dicalcium phosphate, tricalcium phosphate, calcium orthophosphate, calcium metaphosphate, calcium polyphosphate, calcium hydroxyapatite, or combinations thereof; and

(c) sugar alcohol, the sugar alcohol comprising xylitol, sorbitol, mannitol, maltitol, lactitol, isomalt, erythritol, or combinations thereof.

2 . The solid unit-dose oral care composition of claim 1 , wherein the sugar alcohol comprises xylitol and mannitol.

3 . The solid unit-dose oral care composition of claim 1 , wherein the abrasive comprises calcium carbonate and dicalcium phosphate.

4 . The solid unit-dose oral care composition of claim 1 , wherein the abrasive comprises silica, sodium bicarbonate, or combinations thereof.

5 . The solid unit-dose oral care composition of claim 1 , wherein the oral care composition further comprises sodium cocoyl glutamate.

6 . The solid unit-dose oral care composition of claim 1 , wherein the oral care composition is a tablet.

7 . The solid unit-dose oral care composition of claim 1 , wherein the abrasive comprises calcium carbonate, dicalcium phosphate, sodium bicarbonate, and silica.

8 . The solid unit-dose oral care composition of claim 7 , wherein the sugar alcohol comprises xylitol and mannitol.

9 . The unit-dose oral care composition of claim 8 , wherein the solid unit-dose oral care composition comprises polyvinylpyrrolidone.

10 . The unit-dose oral care composition of claim 9 , wherein the solid unit-dose oral care composition comprises cellulose derivative.

11 . A solid unit-dose oral care composition comprising:

(a) fluoride;

(b) abrasive, the abrasive comprising calcium carbonate and dicalcium phosphate; and

(c) sodium cocoyl glutamate.

12 . The solid unit-dose oral care composition of claim 11 , wherein the oral care composition comprises sugar alcohol.

13 . The solid unit-dose oral care composition of claim 12 , wherein the sugar alcohol comprises xylitol, mannitol, or combinations thereof.

14 . The solid unit-dose oral care composition of claim 11 , wherein the fluoride comprises sodium monofluorophosphate, sodium fluoride, stannous fluoride, amine fluoride, or combinations thereof.

15 . The solid unit-dose oral care composition of claim 11 , wherein the abrasive comprises silica, sodium bicarbonate, or combinations thereof.

16 . The solid unit-dose oral care composition of claim 11 , wherein the oral care composition is a tablet.

17 . The unit-dose oral care composition of claim 11 , wherein the solid unit-dose oral care composition comprises polyvinylpyrrolidone.

18 . The unit-dose oral care composition of claim 11 , wherein the solid unit-dose oral care composition comprises cellulose derivative.

19 . A unit-dose dentifrice tablet composition comprising:

(a) sodium monofluorophosphate;

(b) abrasive, the abrasive comprising calcium carbonate and dicalcium phosphate;

(c) sugar alcohol, the sugar alcohol comprising xylitol and mannitol; and

(d) sodium cocoyl glutamate.

20 . The unit-dose dentifrice tablet composition of claim 19 , wherein the composition comprises polyvinylpyrrolidone.
