Abstract

A wireless device receives configuration parameters of: one or more first cells of a first cell type; and one or more second cells of a second cell type. A calculated total transmit power for a plurality of signals is determined. The plurality of signals comprise a first sounding reference signal (SRS) configured for transmission, during a time interval, via the one or more first cells; and a second SRS configured for transmission, during the time interval, via the one or more second cells. The wireless device drops a transmission of the first SRS or scales a transmission power of the first SRS, based on a SRS transmit power priority of the first SRS, when the calculated total transmit power exceeds a first value. The SRS transmit power priority is based on a cell type of the one or more first cells.

Claims (75)

one or more first cells of a first cell type; and

one or more second cells of a second cell type;

a first sounding reference signal (SRS) configured for transmission, during a time interval, via the one or more first cells; and

a second SRS configured for transmission, during the time interval, via the one or more second cells; and

dropping a transmission of the first SRS or scaling a transmission power of the first SRS, based on a SRS transmit power priority of the first SRS, when the calculated total transmit power exceeds a first value, wherein the SRS transmit power priority is based on a cell type of the one or more first cells.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein:

the first cell type is operating in a licensed frequency band; and

the second cell type is operating in an unlicensed frequency band.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein:

the first cell type is a licensed cell type; and

the second cell type is an unlicensed cell type.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein:

the first cell type is operating in a first frequency band; and

the second cell type is operating in a second frequency band.

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein:

the first cell type has a first frame structure; and

the second cell type has a second frame structure.

6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the configuration parameters comprise:

at least one first parameter, for each cell of the one or more first cells, indicating that the cell is of the first cell type; and

at least one second parameter, for each cell of the one or more second cells, indicating that the cell is of the second cell type.

7. The method of claim 1 , wherein:

the first cell type operates based a first radio technology; and

the second cell type operates based on a second radio technology.

8. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first value is a maximum allowed transmission power of the wireless device.

9. The method of claim 1 , wherein:

the first SRS is of a first SRS type; and

the second SRS is of a second SRS type.

10. The method of claim 1 , further comprising transmitting, to a base station, a second message comprising one or more second parameters, the one or more second parameters indicating that the wireless device supports an enhanced SRS transmission procedure.

11. The method of claim 1 , further comprising transmitting, to a base station, a second message comprising one or more second parameters, the one or more second parameters indicating that the wireless device supports configuration of an uplink for a cell operating in an unlicensed frequency band.

12. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

scaling at least one of the first SRS or the second SRS by:

adjusting a transmit power of the at least one of the first SRS or the second SRS; and

transmitting the at least one of the first SRS or the second SRS in the time interval.

13. The method of claim 1 , wherein:

the one or more first cells operate on a first frequency band based on a first radio access technology; and

the one or more second cells operate on a second frequency band based on a second radio access technology.

14. The method of claim 13 , wherein:

the first cell type is operating in a licensed frequency band; and

the second cell type is operating in an unlicensed frequency band.

15. The method of claim 13 , wherein:

the first cell type is a licensed cell type; and

the second cell type is an unlicensed cell type.

16. The method of claim 13 , wherein:

the first SRS is of a first SRS type; and

the second SRS is of a second SRS type.

17. The method of claim 1 , wherein the SRS transmit power priority is further based on whether the first SRS or the second SRS is transmitted adjacent to a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transport block.

18. The method of claim 17 , wherein:

the first SRS is of a first SRS type; and

the second SRS is of a second SRS type.

19. A system comprising:

a base station comprising:

one or more first processors; and

first memory storing first instructions that, when executed by the one or more first processors, cause the base station to:

transmit configuration parameters of:

one or more first cells of a first cell type; and

one or more second cells of a second cell type;

a wireless device comprising:

one or more second processors; and

second memory storing second instructions that, when executed by the one or more second processors, cause the wireless device to:

receive the configuration parameters;

determine a calculated total transmit power for a plurality of signals comprising:

a first sounding reference signal (SRS) configured for transmission, during a time interval, via the one or more first cells; and

a second SRS configured for transmission, during the time interval, via the one or more second cells; and

drop a transmission of the first SRS or scaling a transmission power of the first SRS, based on a SRS transmit power priority of the first SRS, when the calculated total transmit power exceeds a first value, wherein the SRS transmit power priority is based on a cell type of the one or more first cells.

20. A method comprising:

transmitting, by a base station to a wireless device, configuration parameters of:

one or more first cells of a first cell type; and

one or more second cells of a second cell type;
