Abstract

Improved systems and devices for medical imaging distribution are provided. A medical imaging order may be received from a medical facility that includes medical imaging. A configuration may be selected and applied based on a body site and an urgency field associated with the order that defines queueing rules for the medical imaging order. Utilization factors for queues associated with radiologists may also be determined. The configuration and the utilization factors may be used to determine a subset of queues associated with a subset of radiologists. The subset of queues may be prioritized based on certain requirements, such as how many medical imaging reports a particular radiologist is required to review, how many medical imaging reports are required to be allocated to a particular radiologist, and the like. The highest prioritized queue may be selected and the medical imaging order may be transmitted to the radiologist associated with that queue.

where the plurality of nodes are associated with one or more queues,

the one or more processing devices comprising memory storing instructions and configured to perform operations comprising:

receiving a medical imaging record that comprises medical imaging data, wherein:

the medical imaging data was generated using a medical imaging device, and

the medical imaging record is received from a medical imaging record datastore;

responsive to the receiving the medical imaging record, generating an imaging package for transmission to at least one server of the one or more servers at least in part by, prior to the transmission:

generating a filtered medical imaging record by filtering the medical imaging record according to one or more selected fields;

formatting the filtered medical imaging record for transmission to the at least one server; and

transmitting the imaging package, comprising the filtered and formatted medical imaging record, to the at least one server, wherein the imaging package includes the medical imaging data; and

causing the at least one server to generate a task comprising the medical imaging data and instantiate the task in a task list associated with a queue that is selected from a plurality of queues based at least in part on one or more indicators numbers of tasks in the plurality of queues.

2. The system as recited in claim 1 , the operations further comprising:

responsive to the receiving the medical imaging record, identifying data regarding a site that is at least partially imaged by the medical imaging data, then transmitting one or more requests to one or more systems that are remote from the one or more processing devices.

3. The system as recited in claim 2 , the operations further comprising:

receiving one or more additional medical records of a patient, comprising one or more additional images comprising imaging data representing the site, consequent to the one or more requests.

4. The system as recited in claim 3 , the operations further comprising:

receiving a report file from the at least one server, wherein the report file comprises a generated identifier that maps to the medical imaging record datastore and a radiology report that includes analysis of the medical imaging data sent in the imaging package.

5. The system as recited in claim 4 , the operations further comprising:

writing a radiology report to the medical imaging record datastore, wherein writing the radiology report to the medical imaging record datastore comprises writing the radiology report to the medical imaging record mapped to the medical imaging record datastore.

6. The system as recited in claim 5 , the operations further comprising:

selecting the at least one server from a plurality of distribution servers based at least in part on network traffic at the at least one server.

7. The system as recited in claim 5 , the operations further comprising:

selecting the at least one server from a plurality of distribution servers based at least in part on proximity with respect to the one or more processing devices.

8. One or more non-transitory, computer-readable media storing computer-executable instructions that, when executed by one or more processing devices, configure the one or more processing devices to perform operations comprising:

receiving a medical imaging record that comprises medical imaging data, wherein:

the medical imaging data was generated using a medical imaging device, and

the medical imaging record is received from a medical imaging record datastore;

responsive to the receiving the medical imaging record, generating an imaging package for transmission to at least one server of one or more servers at least in part by, prior to the transmission:

generating a filtered medical imaging record by filtering the medical imaging record according to one or more selected fields;

formatting the filtered medical imaging record for transmission to the at least one server; and

transmitting the imaging package, comprising the filtered and formatted medical imaging record, to the at least one server, wherein the imaging package includes the medical imaging data; and

causing the at least one server to generate a task comprising the medical imaging data and instantiate the task in a task list associated with a queue that is selected from a plurality of queues based at least in part on one or more indicators numbers of tasks in the plurality of queues.

9. The one or more non-transitory, computer-readable media as recited in claim 8 , the operations further comprising:

responsive to the receiving the medical imaging record, identifying data regarding a site that is at least partially imaged by the medical imaging data, then transmitting one or more requests to one or more systems that are remote from the one or more processing devices.

10. The one or more non-transitory, computer-readable media as recited in claim 9 , the operations further comprising:

receiving one or more additional medical records of a patient, comprising one or more additional images comprising imaging data representing the site, consequent to the one or more requests.

11. The one or more non-transitory, computer-readable media as recited in claim 10 , the operations further comprising:

receiving a report file from the at least one server, wherein the report file comprises a generated identifier that maps to the medical imaging record datastore and a radiology report that includes analysis of the medical imaging data sent in the imaging package.

12. The one or more non-transitory, computer-readable media as recited in claim 11 , the operations further comprising:

writing a radiology report to the medical imaging record datastore, wherein writing the radiology report to the medical imaging record datastore comprises writing the radiology report to the medical imaging record mapped to the medical imaging record datastore.

13. The one or more non-transitory, computer-readable media as recited in claim 12 , the operations further comprising:

selecting the at least one server from a plurality of distribution servers based at least in part on network traffic at the at least one server.

14. The one or more non-transitory, computer-readable media as recited in claim 12 , the operations further comprising:

selecting the at least one server from a plurality of distribution servers based at least in part on proximity with respect to the one or more processing devices.

15. A method comprising:

receiving a medical imaging record that comprises medical imaging data, wherein:

the medical imaging data was generated using a medical imaging device, and

the medical imaging record is received from a medical imaging record datastore;

responsive to the receiving the medical imaging record, generating an imaging package for transmission to at least one server of one or more servers at least in part by, prior to the transmission:
