Abstract

Some embodiments include an assembly with an inlet housing enclosing an outlet housing that includes an inlet. The outlet housing includes an outlet port and a channel or aperture coupled to an outlet and apertures coupled to atmosphere. A moveable or flexible member is positioned in the inlet housing coupled to the outlet housing, and can deform, flex and/or move based on a flow and/or pressure of fluid from the inlet. Based on the flow and/or pressure of fluid from the inlet, the moveable or flexible member can reversibly move from a first position to a second position and/or from a second position to a first position. The first position is characterized by the moveable or flexible member being coupled to, proximate to, sealed to the aperture, and the second position is characterized by the moveable or flexible member being moved away from the aperture.

Claims (18)

1. A valve assembly comprising: an inlet, a first outlet, at least one channel, and a moveable member; wherein the moveable member is configured and arranged to deform, flex and/or move based on a fluid pressure from the inlet; wherein the at least one channel enables a fluid coupling of the inlet and the first outlet; wherein at least a portion of the moveable member is configured to move away from the at least one channel; and wherein at least a portion of the moveable member is configured to at least partially seal the at least one channel; wherein the moveable member includes a base end and a movable seated end; wherein the moveable member includes a curved surface between the base end and the movable seated end; when the curved surface is configured to remain curved when at least a portion of the moveable member at least partially seals the at least one channel and when the moveable member moves away from the at least one channel; wherein a leak path is configured to cause the fluid pressure directed from the inlet to drop and cause the at least a portion of the moveable member to move over an at least one aperture of the at least one channel as a result of the drop in fluid pressure.

2. The valve assembly of claim 1 , further comprising:

at least one port, and

a second outlet;

wherein the at least one port is configured to enable compressed fluid to flow through the second outlet.

3. The valve assembly of claim 1 , further comprising:

at least one port, and

a second outlet;

wherein the at least one port is configured to enable compressed air to flow through the second outlet.

4. The valve assembly of claim 3 , wherein the leak path enables a fluid coupling of the inlet and the second outlet.

A pneumatic valve comprising: an inlet, a first outlet, at least one port, a second outlet, at least one channel, a leak path, and a moveable member; wherein the moveable member is configured and arranged to deform, flex and/or move based on a fluid pressure directed from the inlet; wherein the at least one channel enables a fluid coupling of the inlet and the first outlet; wherein the at least one channel comprises at least one aperture in a substantially transverse direction relative to the first outlet; wherein the at least a portion of the moveable member is configured to move over the at least one aperture in response to a drop in the fluid pressure; wherein at least a portion of the moveable member is configured to be moved away from the at least one aperture by the fluid pressure; and wherein at least a portion of the moveable member is configured to at least partially seal the at least one channel; wherein the at least one port is configured to enable compressed air to flow through the second outlet; wherein the leak path enables a fluid coupling of the inlet and the second outlet; wherein the leak path is configured to cause the fluid pressure directed from the inlet to drop and cause the at least a portion of the moveable member to move over the at least one aperture as a result of the drop in the fluid pressure.

6. The pneumatic valve of claim 5 , wherein the moveable member is configured and arranged to deform, flex and/or move based on a pressure of outlet air directed from the second outlet.

A valve assembly comprising: an inlet, a first outlet, a second outlet, at least one channel, a flexible member; an outlet port, and a leak path; wherein the flexible member is configured and arranged to deform, flex and/or move based on a fluid pressure directed from the inlet; wherein the at least one channel enables a fluid coupling of the inlet and the first outlet; and wherein the at least one channel comprises at least one aperture in a substantially transverse direction relative the first outlet; wherein the at least a portion of the flexible member is configured to move over the aperture in response to a drop in the fluid pressure; wherein at least a portion of the flexible member is configured to move away from the at least one aperture in response to an increase in the fluid pressure from the inlet; wherein the leak path enables a fluid coupling of the inlet and the second outlet while the flexible member is moved away from the at least one aperture wherein the leak path is positioned between the flexible member and the outlet port.

8. The valve assembly of claim 7 ,

wherein at least a portion of the flexible member is configured to at least partially seal the at least one channel.

9. The valve assembly of claim 7 , wherein the outlet port comprises the first outlet.

10. The valve assembly of claim 7 ,

wherein the flexible member is configured and arranged to deform, flex and/or move based on an air pressure directed from the second outlet.
