COMPUTER IMPLEMENTED SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ENABLING ACCESS TO DATA STORED ON A BLOCKCHAIN
A method of enabling access to data stored on a blockchain is disclosed. The method comprises generating at least one first blockchain transaction of a blockchain, wherein the first data is stored in at least one first blockchain transaction and is inaccessible to a first participant in the absence of first access data. The method further comprises generating a second blockchain transaction of the blockchain, wherein the second blockchain transaction contains means for causing the first access data to be made available to the first participant.
1 . A method of enabling access to data stored on a blockchain, the method comprising:
generating at least one first blockchain transaction of a blockchain, wherein first data is stored in at least one said first blockchain transaction and is inaccessible to a first participant in the absence of first access data; and
generating a second blockchain transaction of said blockchain, wherein said second blockchain transaction contains means for causing the first access data to be made available to the first participant.
2 . A method according to claim 1 , wherein at least one said first blockchain transaction has at least one respective input being a respective output of a previous blockchain transaction, wherein said output is redeemable by means of a respective private key of a cryptography system, and said first data is encrypted by means of said cryptography system.
3 . A method according to claim 1 , wherein access to said first data by said first participant enables said first participant to store further data in at least one third blockchain transaction related to at least one said first blockchain transaction.
4 . A method according to claim 1 , wherein the second blockchain transaction includes second data representing a quantity of crypto-currency.
5 . A method according to claim 1 , wherein the second blockchain transaction includes second data representing at least one token.
6 . A method according to claim 5 , wherein at least one said token is at least one of a plurality of tokens generated by means of repeated application of a one-way function.
7 . A method according to claim 4 , further comprising generating at least one fourth blockchain transaction for refunding at least part of said second data in the event of non-redemption of at least one output of the second blockchain transaction.
8 . A method according to claim 7 , wherein at least one said fourth blockchain transaction has at least one output which is only redeemable after a predetermined period.
9 . A method according to claim 7 , wherein at least one said fourth blockchain transaction has at least one output which is only redeemable after a predetermined number of blocks.
10 . A method according to claim 1 , wherein at least one said first blockchain transaction has at least one output which is redeemable by means of a script containing data making said first access data available to said first participant.
11 . A method according to claim 10 , wherein the script contains data enabling an input of a one-way function to be determined.
12 . A method according to claim 11 , wherein at least one said one-way function is a Hash function.
13 . A method according to claim 10 , wherein the script contains data enabling a private key of a public-private key pair to be determined by the first participant.
14 . A method according to claim 1 , further comprising securely sharing a first secret between said first participant and a second participant to enable data making said first access data available to said first participant to be determined.
15 . A computer-implemented system comprising:
a processor; and
memory including executable instructions that, as a result of execution by the processor, causes the system to perform any embodiment of the method as claimed in claim 1 .
16 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having stored thereon executable instructions that, as a result of being executed by a processor of a computer system, cause the computer system to at least perform an embodiment of the method as claimed in claim 1 .
17 . A computer-implemented system comprising:
a processor; and
memory including executable instructions that, as a result of execution by the processor, causes the system to perform any embodiment of the method as claimed in claim 2 .
18 . A computer-implemented system comprising:
a processor; and
memory including executable instructions that, as a result of execution by the processor, causes the system to perform any embodiment of the method as claimed in claim 3 .
19 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having stored thereon executable instructions that, as a result of being executed by a processor of a computer system, cause the computer system to at least perform an embodiment of the method as claimed in claim 2 .
20 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having stored thereon executable instructions that, as a result of being executed by a processor of a computer system, cause the computer system to at least perform an embodiment of the method as claimed in claim 3 .
