Abstract

A method for sharing content during a virtual 3D video conference, the method may include inviting multiple participants to join a virtual 3D video conference; creating a shared folder dedicated for storing shared content items, wherein the shared content is accessible during at least during the virtual 3D video conference; enabling access, to the multiple participants, to the shared folder; wherein the access is governed by one or more access control rule; and conducting the virtual 3D video conference; wherein the conducting comprises sharing at least one of the content items.

Claims (36)

1. A method for sharing content during a virtual 3D video conference, the method comprises:

inviting multiple participants to join a virtual 3D video conference;

creating a shared folder dedicated for storing shared content items, wherein the shared content is accessible during at least during the virtual 3D video conference;

enabling access, to the multiple participants, to the shared folder; wherein the access is governed by access control rules that comprise:

a first access control rule that is responsive to a bandwidth availability of at least one of (a) a communication link to the shared folder, or (b) a communication link from the shared folder; and

a second access control rule for preventing an upload of content of a size that exceeds a first size threshold, wherein the size threshold depends on whether a participant that request to upload the content is an organizer of the virtual 3D video conference or a participant that is not the organizer of the virtual 3D video conference; and

conducting the virtual 3D video conference; wherein the conducting comprises sharing at least one of the content items.

2. The method according to claim 1 wherein the sharing is executed based, at least in part, on one or more sharing rules.

3. The method according to claim 1 wherein the one or more sharing rules are included in the access control rules.

4. The method according to claim 1 wherein the one or more sharing rules are not included in the access control rules.

5. The method according to claim 1 wherein the enabling access comprises enabling access to the shared folder even before a start of the virtual 3D video conference.

6. The method according to claim 5 wherein the inviting, creating, enabling and conducting are managed by a virtual 3D video conference application.

7. The method according to claim 1 comprising deleting the shared folder dedicated after the completion of the virtual 3D video conference.

8. The method according to claim 1 comprising maintaining the shared folder dedicated after a completion of the virtual 3D video conference and enabling access to the shared folder after the completion of the virtual 3D video conference.

9. The method according to claim 1 comprising maintaining the shared folder dedicated until a predefined time period after a completion of the virtual 3D video conference and enabling access to the shared folder until a predefined time period after the completion of the virtual 3D video conference.

10. The method according to claim 1 comprising maintaining the shared folder dedicated after a completion of the virtual 3D video conference and applying after completion access control rules for accessing the shared folder.

11. The method according to claim 1 comprising maintaining the shared folder dedicated after a completion of the virtual 3D video conference and adding a recording of the virtual 3D video conference to the shared folder.

12. The method according to claim 1 wherein the second access control rule is for the preventing the upload of the content of the size that exceeds the size threshold, when the participant has reached a second aggregate size of uploaded content.

13. A non-transitory computer readable medium for sharing content during a virtual 3D video conference, the non-transitory computer readable medium stores instructions for:

inviting multiple participants to join a virtual 3D video conference;

creating a shared folder dedicated for storing shared content items, wherein the shared content is accessible during at least during the virtual 3D video conference;

enabling access, to the multiple participants, to the shared folder; wherein the access is governed by access control rules that comprise:

a first access control rule that is responsive to a bandwidth availability of at least one of (a) a communication link to the shared folder, or (b) a communication link from the shared folder; and

a second access control rule for preventing an upload of content of a size that exceeds a first size threshold, wherein the size threshold depends on whether a participant that request to upload the content is an organizer of the virtual 3D video conference or a participant that is not the organizer of the virtual 3D video conference; and

conducting the virtual 3D video conference; wherein the conducting comprises sharing at least one of the content items.

14. The non-transitory computer readable medium according to claim 13 wherein the sharing is executed based, at least in part, on one or more sharing rules.

15. The non-transitory computer readable medium according to claim 13 wherein the one or more sharing rules are included in the access control rules.

16. The non-transitory computer readable medium according to claim 13 wherein the one or more sharing rules are not included in the access control rules.

17. The non-transitory computer readable medium according to claim 13 wherein the enabling access comprises enabling access to the shared folder even before a start of the virtual 3D video conference.

18. The non-transitory computer readable medium according to claim 17 wherein the inviting, creating, enabling and conducting are managed by a virtual 3D video conference application.

19. The non-transitory computer readable medium according to claim 13 that stores instructions for deleting the shared folder dedicated after the completion of the virtual 3D video conference.

20. The non-transitory computer readable medium according to claim 13 that stores instructions for maintaining the shared folder dedicated after a completion of the virtual 3D video conference and enabling access to the shared folder after the completion of the virtual 3D video conference.

21. The non-transitory computer readable medium according to claim 13 that stores instructions for maintaining the shared folder dedicated until a predefined time period after a completion of the virtual 3D video conference and enabling access to the shared folder until a predefined time period after the completion of the virtual 3D video conference.

22. The non-transitory computer readable medium according to claim 13 that stores instructions for maintaining the shared folder dedicated after a completion of the virtual 3D video conference and applying after completion access control rules for accessing the shared folder.

23. The non-transitory computer readable medium according to claim 13 that stores instructions for maintaining the shared folder dedicated after a completion of the virtual 3D video conference and adding a recording of the virtual 3D video conference to the shared folder.

24. The non-transitory computer readable medium according to claim 13 wherein the second access control rule is for the preventing the upload of the content of the size that exceeds the size threshold, when the participant has reached a second aggregate size of uploaded content.
