Abstract

Provided are a method for fast cell setup. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the method includes receiving a secondary cell group (SCG) configuration from a first network node, wherein the SCG configuration includes information on secondary cells related to a second network node, identifying at least one valid cells among the secondary cells, and selecting a primary secondary cell (PSCell) among the valid cells.

Claims (39)

1. A method performed by a wireless device adapted to operate in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:

receiving a secondary cell group (SCG) configuration from a first network node,

wherein the SCG configuration includes information on secondary cells related to a second network node;

receiving a radio resource control (RRC) release message from a first network node,

wherein the RRC release message includes a suspend configuration;

entering an RRC_INACTIVE state based on the suspend configuration included in the RRC release message;

storing the SCG configuration in the RRC_INACTIVE state;

identifying at least one valid cell from among the cells based on validity criteria,

wherein the RRC release message includes the validity criteria;

determining a primary secondary cell (PSCell) from among the at least one valid cell;

transmitting an RRC resume complete message including information about the at least one valid cell to the first network node; and

performing a PSCell addition with the PSCell based on the stored SCG configuration.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the validity criteria includes at least one of a channel quality, a predefined validity area, a timing advance (TA), or a validity timer.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the SCG configuration includes information on candidate cells.

4. The method of claim 3 , further comprising:

measuring channel quality of the candidate cells.

5. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

determining a secondary cell (SCell) related to the second network node; and

performing a SCell addition with the SCell.

6. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

performing a random access channel (RACH) procedure with the PSCell.

7. The method of claim 6 , wherein the RACH procedure is performed when it is determined that a TA of the PSCell is not valid.

8. The method of claim 1 , wherein the wireless device communicates with at least one of a mobile terminal, a network or autonomous vehicles other than the wireless device.

9. A wireless device adapted to operate in a wireless communication system, the wireless device comprising:

a memory;

a transceiver; and

a processor, operably coupled to the memory and the transceiver, and configured to perform operations comprising:

receiving a secondary cell group (SCG) configuration from a first network node,

wherein the SCG configuration includes information about cells related to a second network node;

receiving a radio resource control (RRC) release message from a first network node,

wherein the RRC release message includes a suspend configuration;

entering an RRC_INACTIVE state based on the suspend configuration included in the RRC release message;

storing the SCG configuration in the RRC_INACTIVE state;

identifying at least one valid cell from among the cells based on validity criteria,

wherein the RRC release message includes the validity criteria;

determining a primary secondary cell (PSCell) from among the at least one valid cell;

transmitting an RRC resume complete message including information about the at least one valid cell to the first network node; and

performing a PSCell addition with the PSCell based on the stored SCG configuration.

10. The wireless device of claim 9 , wherein the validity criteria includes at least one of a channel quality, a predefined validity area, a timing advance (TA), or a validity timer.
